- Adjustable Bed by Leggett and Platt DC Motor Repair - Head of Sales Department at www.myluxurymattress.com shows how to change a DC motor for a Leggett and Platt Adjustable Bed.
The base is working fine on ours but the head will not move. When activating the base it sounds like the motor is engaged. The head motor is working but it sounds like it is not engaging and free wheeling. I ordered a new motor from them but now I am wondering if I should have dropped the motor to make sure the bar was in good shape. The housing looks fine. Thanks
I have this exact frame bed but the control remote is lost. were can I buy a new one? does that even is an option?
Unfortunately the problem with the motor section going out is the internal 24V powers supply. It (the transformer) stays on (partially) whenever it is plugged in. It'll go out regardless of whether the adjustable foundation is being used or not. Does anyone know where to get only the transformer instead of replacing the whole part?
My motor went out with the head in the raised position. Will the head lower when I take out the old motor?
Tim Hymer yes same happened to me
My temperpedic motor keeps breaking. 2 motors (Okin) in less than 2 years. Pratt & Leggett stands by the motor.
Plastic casing is not strong enough( my opion) also very hard to get on phone.
my motor is toast i need new one the problem is I'm from Canada and the duty and money exchange will probably be too expensive. How much is a new Orkin motor mine is in the dump i kept the mother board. The metal pin attached to the turning motor that cranked up the head part busted. it was stuck in the upright position. i have an s cape red remote wall hugger the pins on the head and foot vibrations motors are damaged but i don't use those anyway.
is the only solution replacing the motor? I had my pet chew the wires of the power down box, I had them fixed and was working for a short time. now with a new power down, no movement. any advice?
Same issue. Sent the power down box, re synched but not working. Wondering how I tell if it's the motor?
This motor is made in Brazil and is and does not last long i hardly ever used mine and the motor went out so they say and they want over $180 to purchase a new one. You can google Tempur-Pedic who uses this and you will see a lot of complaints about it. Once it goes out of warranty and that is only 1 year they will NOT help you. I payed over $4000.00 for this bed and only get a little over a year use out of it . And Tempur-Pedic will not help as they say it is not there problem .
