Question.....im going to be installing 3 separate mini splits in my house . The 3 condensers will be sitting next to each other on the outside of my home. Do i need to have 3 separate circuits for electricity?? Meaning each mini split condenser will have a separate circuit, breaker and disconnect. I have a 200 amp breaker box with enough openings to do it however i was wondering if there was a different way of running power to them having only one breaker in the panel and then separate disconnects outside. Thanks 😊
Hey number…, That’s a pretty serious set-up. I’d hate to guess…I would definitely get in touch with an electrician - even if just a consult - make sure all is good. The power demand for the 3 minisplits on one line means that a single power line would need to be sized correctly - you don’t need to start a fire. 😃 Thx for watching!
I dont think romex is allowed in conduit . I think your suppose to use thhn stranded wire for that . That being said im not an electrician and i could be wrong lol
I think what he’s trying to say is that you need to use a different type of wire for the portions that run through conduit, not that the conduit itself is an issue.
Would love to see how you actually wire this particular box. I have it and not positive which goes where
Romex NM-B is for indoor use dry location. Running it through conduit outdoors is considered a wet location.
Thank you for sharing with us!
Hey unvaccinated,
My pleasure! Thx for watching! Peace in Him😃

Hey Jason,
It is. As a matter of fact conduit is prescribed (NEC) for areas where damage could occur to the (NM) wire .
Thanks for watching!

I thinks that now it’s allowed if you in an indoor location separate the wires.
How much did this project cost ?
Do u always use 10gauge wire for condensers
Hey capy…,
It depends on the size of your condenser. Best check with manufacturer for size.
Thx for watching!
How do you install the wires?
We didn’t video that but there are good UA-cam videos by electricians that demonstrate that..
Thx for watching!
Good thing you didn't need that second ring intact.😅🤣😂
