  • adyashanti.org - Adyashanti leads this guided meditation about attending to the breath, and using it as an anchor in your meditation. By tending to your breath, you are subtly gathering your attention away from your thoughts and into the concreteness of your breath. Adyashanti invites you to settle into your breath and use meditation as a vital process of discovery.
Video Excerpted From “Silent Meditation Day Vol. 2 ~ San Anselmo Sept 2016”(ID #635):

    Quotes from this Video:
“Take the first few moments to just let yourself relax into the act of breathing.”
“We start with a few moments of attending to the breath just as a way of gathering attention.”
“At any point during meditation, just remember that the breath is always there if you get a little lost in your mind or lost in any way.”
“Meditation is a process of discovery. It’s not a goal-centered activity. We’re not trying to attain any goal. All of that needs to be let go of.”

For me he is the best guide for meditation as he has so many ways of taking you to it. No preaching just a very skilled compassionate guide. 🙏🏻

Compassionate is a great way to describe Adya. Tactful is another.

His silence is 20% more silent than other teachers' silence. If you didn't notice, you know it's true. :-P ^^

100% was thinking the same. His silence is like a black hole. Same experience at his retreats.

Needless to say, this is much better than ending up at a psychiatrist a few years down the line...

Good vid. There's a nice breathing exercise in the meditation book "30 Days to Reduce Anxiety" by Harper Daniels.

Is there one where the silence is 20 or 30 minutes? I like the guidance into meditation and it would be nice with a guidance to “come back” in the end. Any suggestions?

A few of the Guided Meditations on this channel are 30 minutes in length, but they probably have a considerable amount of guidance/talking included. So we might not have exactly what you're looking for. Here is a link to our Guided Meditation playlist: bit.ly/3Pf0LST ~ Amy (Open Gate Sangha Communications Team)

Adyashanti: There is no immediate goal with meditation, simply exploration
Me, internally: STOP THINKING. YOU NEED TO BE QUIET, JUST STOP. WHY ARE YOU STILL THINKING! JUST SHUT UP AND BE ENLIGHTENED ALREADY!

I listened to my mind for 20 minutes and it is very useful to kill it. Only when I stop being concentrated does the mind dominate me again, as long as I have this force over my head, I cannot control the mind. I can, but I have to be very concentrated.
