  • adyashanti.org - In this calming guided meditation, Adyashanti leads you to discover the pre-existing quiet within every moment, and how meditation is something that is happening rather than something you do. By utilizing your senses much more than utilizing thought, and you allow everything to be exactly as it is, you notice that meditation is already happening.
Video Excerpted From “Silent Meditation Day Vol. 10”:

    Quotes from this Video:
“The first step of meditation is allowing every single part of experience to be exactly the way that it is.”
“You may notice that even before the first effort to meditate arises, there is a pre-existing quiet.”
“One of the things that we all need to discover for our self is what it means to be very aware-to be very present but in an effortless way.”
“There’s a difference between trying to be present and aware, and offering your attention and your awareness as a gift to the moment just as it is.”

This felt so beautifully and perfectly natural. If all the guided meditations I've tried were bowls of porridge, this one would be "just right!"
    Thank you, from the heart.

Amazing! As opposed to paying attention, offer attention up and let the moment take care of the rest!
Adyashanti has this amazing way of giving my ego, my meditator, a task that when completed makes it go away (only temporarily, of course!).

I'm listening to Adya and the running commentary in my head. Adya says, it is helpful to put attention on your breath - and the commentary says - if you dont want to follow the breath you can become aware of your underpants, works the same way LoL
And it was so funny :D

Adya gets you there (to more stillness and awareness). He kind of lures your attention to a better place somehow.

    Thank you so much but.....
What is pre-existing before noticing the breath is IT.
What is noticing the breath is the very IT. Just when being at the moment, what's listening to the bell is IT.
    Is that probably right.....?
