- For the first time ever on UA-cam, the complete broadcast of the Boulder, CO PBS DEVO New Traditionalists special. The quality is what it is, but the video settings were increased to squeeze every bit of info from the VHS. Audio levels also adjusted.
i grew up with these folks. Bob and Gerry Casale were like family to me. extremely intelligent men. i have been often baffled that Bob was not featured more for interviewing. he was drop dead intelligent with a beautiful blend of calmness and humor. one of a kind. Gerry, his brother was also off the charts intelligent.
Holy shit! I've been wondering if the full broadcast was lying around somewhere. Thank you very much! Nutra tour footage is a rare and beautiful thing.
Nice job!
Thank you! And there's more to come.
@@thomcd-romThere is? Has it come already? I’m just finding your channel so I’ll check, because this is an absolutely mind blowing upload for a serious Devo follower to come upon… thank you!
I saw them play the tower theater in Philadelphia during this tour. Mark was crowd surfing during the call and response part of Jocko Homo. One of the best show’s I’ve ever seen in my life.
This is socl! Thanks for uploading. It brings back so many memories!
Thank you Thom and Scott O. This is amazing footage of a glimpse of DEVO's New Traditionalists spirit.
That’s mine! My first rock video production!
Hey, Michael! Nice hearing from you 18 years after we emailed you about this footage. Very sad that the raw footage was disposed of.
@@thomcd-romHow and why was it disposed of, please?
@@GrantTarredus Insurance reasons, if they wanted to get covered for the damages to the equipment during this tour, they had to dispose of the footage of the NuTra tour. Only bootlegs and copies that the band didn't know were out there, survived.
awesome
I wish we had more footage of Alan speaking
Was this at Macky Auditorium? Was there!
I believe you're right!
This spudwazz is really awesome, but they are really slowing down. I mean 50 years of devolution and 10 years of no new material.
They're also in their '70s.
