I have the #1 on this list icefang. When I purchased it (over a year ago) I ordered the red one with 4 (not 2) metal buckles. I have a pouch on both sides that hold my dog's gear (The side away from me has her trama kit and is marked with a medical cross. The pouch on her side between us has spare treats, poop bags, and other daily essentials she may need). The vest has worked great for us and seem really comfortable for her. I have it in red and the hook and loop placement make it convenient to put some patches on that people almost always ignore (She is my mobility service dog). It is simple to adjust but rugged enough the extra material stays in place. Putting it on and taking off is easy. Undoing the belly buckles, clamshell open and the vest is ready to ease on or off. Once on the vest stays in place fairly well, and she can pull me comfortably when needed.
Ok. I was going to ask about which works best for a mobility service dog. I'm finishing the training on my current service dog. My last one was alert only, but around the time my last dog passed away my need for mobility assistance was increasing beyond what my cane could easily help me with. ... So I found a dog large enough to do mobility work. I had no idea so much goes into training and outfitting a mobility dog. I've been researching harnesses that can serve for mobility work, but was unsure if my choices were actually going to serve me well. Your dog is easily able to help you stand and balance using this harness? It doesn't slide too much so as to make assistance with balance difficult?
@@jeffw5195 Good to know. I've been training my girl for a year and a half now. She has a solid grasp on the basics of what i need her to do for me. I'm in the process of getting her better tools to use to help me the way she wants to. We're both frustrated by the limitations of what we currently have. This sounds like what we need to step her gear up. She's already used to wearing a harness and she loves when the harness we currently have comes out because she knows it means she gets to work. She gets very excited when I get her harness out in the morning. I don't need help getting out of bed in the morning or getting off the toilet (we put in the taller ADA compliant toilet in the master bathroom when we moved to our current house. We left a standard height toilet in the front bathroom because I discovered the ADA toilets aren't child friendly. Too tall for a 3 year old to use easily. So I have my toilet in my bathroom and child visitors can have the regular one for their needs.) ... I've gotten to the point where I do occasionally need help standing up when I'm on the couch or any of our living room furniture. She also helps me balance and evens out my gait when I'm walking. I have nerve damage in my right leg from an injury some 20 years ago. My neuro doc wasn't expecting me to be able to walk at all after the spinal surgery i had, so i beat the odds there. It's kind of amazing that I'm not wheelchair bound now, but I'm going to credit my original service dog who got me through 13 years of this journey. If I hadn't had her, i would probably have been in a chair now. These dogs simply amaze me with what they do for us. I can't fathom how they know what they do, but I feel privileged to have access to the amazing gift they give us every single day. The gift Ember gave me for 13 years and the one Jane offers now. Jane actually started working for me when she was 4 months old and had only been with me for a week. She almost immediately knew i needed help and she started trying to figure out how to help. That was September of 2022. Now she's just over 2 years old. 90% trained in what I need her to know. She amazes me every day with her understanding of what i need at a given time.
I love vest like this. They are not only easier for you and your k9 buddy. They also look good and they are all easier for handling your love for your fur buddy.
Hi There! I just have a question, for a Labrador which is 1 year old (I will say he will grow a little more) what size should I buy on the Icefang...? Thank you for you support and for the amazing video
Fantastic! The pups have the rabbitgoo, I was just looking at these, and already decided the best for my dogs is the same as the one you featured! The video just confirming that I have been thorough in my choice. Thank you for the video, liked and subbed 👍🏽
A great video. That harness is awesome. The bungee leash would go great with it. I just ordered both for my Beagle. Keep up the great videos. Love watching you and Jack.
I got it Auroth Tactical for my 50 lb Pit Bull puppy,Leash training was really terrible on my shoulder! She would not stop pulling.Nice products and good video.
Kind of an odd review. you glossed over the negatives. SUPER FANTASTIC DURABILITY (*whispers* also the clips come apart/break) GREAT FOR KEEPING YOUR DOG SAFE :DDD" if they come apart/break and my dog gets hit by a car or gets excited to meet another person who thinks they are being attacked and defends themself...... yep great protection. Harnesses are literally life or death for a lot of dogs. Please go into more detail about the negatives and how much of a problem they really are.
This video was originally posted two years ago as of April 2023, yet your title is "best tactical dog harnesses for 2023". Did you just change the title of an old video with a new date? Not understanding this.
I really hate harnesses for dogs who don’t listen and have no obedience training, you literally have no control of them what so ever and they still pull. Much better using a simple slip lead 😂
incredible video, the way you explain everything clearly in a concise way is admirable, I hope you continue to upload this type of content to help those interested in the subject
This list is a complete joke. All designed are taken from the Line of Fire Defence (LOF) Systems Streetfighter vest. These are not tactical vests for dogs. Chest rings are pointless in training, get expert advice from people who know what they’re talking about.

The weaknesses in all these are in the buckles which is the most important feature for security , they all look great but security is vital
I have the Auroth harness for my Belgian malinois and she loves it! I got the purple camo and the harness is sturdy and great! Love them! 10/10
ok ;D thanks for the feed back , customers know best
Large German Shepherd pup. Rabbitgo tore 2 symmetric tears on chest after using twice.
Just imagine when going on hikes. Your buddy can carry extra knick knacks like medication, keys, maybe some water or small camping gear.
Mine can
Keyes???
All good until your buddy takes off with your keys and survival essentials when he panics from something and bolts.
Pockets for cooling packs is a good idea for very active dogs.
Front-attach was key for training my ACD. And I didn't have to pay so much. Ours was a Gentle Leader.
I have the Auroth ones for all 3 of my dogs! Durable and love them!
Derek, any trouble with the plastic buckles on the side?
I love vest like this. They are not only easier for you and your k9 buddy. They also look good and they are all easier for handling your love for your fur buddy.
Ty jsou pro psa naprosto nevhodné a ničí jeho pohybový aparát
We have the Auroth harnesses and love them so much!
Jessika, any trouble with the plastic buckles on the side?
Your buddy also loves it..they feel more secured from you in handling.

Glad I came across to this video! I had certain queries regarding Best Tactical Dogs Harness and found it really helpful! thanks.
It's a bit worrisome that most of these harnesses come with plastic buckles that can break easily! No bueno in high traffic areas.

Been looking for one for ages, this video helped a lot!
Icefang is literally the same Chinese harness that everyone else has.
Yeah so far I've found like 6 companies with the same design
Don't matter who makes it, a great hardness for sure
Couldn’t concentrate for thinking this guy sounds like Timmy from SouthPark

Dude literally sounds like an ai and the comments sound the same lmao
One Tigris is made in China.I want American made
Plastic clips on the Auroth? No thanks.
