    Hi Guys, I hope this video gives you information to help choose a no pull harness for your dog. Many people use and like the Petsafe EasyWalk Harness and The 2 Hound Design Freedom Harness. If you wear these harness on your dog, do you have a different review of the harness. Leave a comment. I would love to know your opinion. i really could have reviewed a 5th harness, the Ruffwear Webmaster Harness. The Webmaster is very similar to the Flagline. It is a heavier harness for dogs with more bulk and weight. Check out the video comparing the Ruffwear Flagline to the Ruffwear Webmaster to see the similarities and some differences. ua-cam.com/video/5Lbtb5_nXqc/v-deo.html. Thank you for Subscribing and please press Like if you enjoyed the video. This helps me to know if the topic is interesting to you. i want to make videos you are interested in watching. Do you have suggestions for topics for videos. i would love to hear your suggestions in the comments. Thank you. Joyce

    I totally agree with your thoughts on the easy walk. My pup has a very comparable build, both the easy walk and the Wonder walker harnesses' front strap sag on her, and the girth straps dig into her armpits! Only people who have a dog like this can understand this problem. I have read that clipping the harness to a martingale collar additionally along with the harness's front clip is one possible solution!

      I am so happy with the Ruffwear Flagline Harness that I have not tried other harness. I agree with you. Thank you. Joyce

    The Ruffwear is the only one you wouldn't need another harness to use a dog seatbelt. This keeps the dog from being a projectile in the event of injury. The other harnesses would require you to change harnesses. OTOH, apart from a front clip not sure how it works. Might be enough for my dog who just needs a "reminder" now and again. She's pretty good on a leash. I don't think she needs the two straps on the abdomen unlike a slim little dog like your's. Seems like a bit of overkill for a Corgi. Though might be good for an insecure dog--like a bit of swaddling. Might look at some other ruffwear products though.

      Hi Jay, yes, the Frontline can be clipped to the leash at the back. That is where i clip the leash when i am waliking my dogs.
      Yes, you can use the Frontline harness with a seat belt if your seat belt strap attaches to a harness. The harness would give nice padding in the car.
      The 2 straps are just security to prevent a dog backing out of the harness. Thanks for your thoughts. any other suggestions? Joyce

    Thanks for this video, do you have the same suggestions for bigger dogs? I have a 70lb lab mix.

      Yes I do!, The Ruffwear Webmaster harness is stronger. Also the RuffWear Front Range Harness. The Front Renge I believe has the clip at the front and the back to attach a double ended leash for more control. The Webmaster has the 2nd strap at the stomach to prevent escape like the Ruffwear Flagline which would probably not be strong enough for your dog. Please watch my video on the Ruffwear Webmaster Harness. I hope this helps. Let me know. Thank you, Joyce

    Actually, I’m feeling sorry for Nikki. Many dogs think that putting a harness on means they get to go on a walk. 🦮 Four harnesses later, and still no walk!😄

      Jim, I would not feel sorry for her. Nicky loves doing videos. She thinks she is a star and it means she gets food. Food is better than a walk in Nicky's mind. But I will tell her. Joyce

      @@DiamondDogTraining Well, okay then. Food works, plus she can sleep easier at night knowing she’s helped other dogs get a better harness.

    We have a hairless Xoloitzcuintle puppy, and we're going to the mountain for the first time with her. I want to be gentle with her skin (and of course with her throat), and to avoid pulling (she is still learning to go outside). I think I will buy the Flagline, but ¿why is it a "no-pulling harness"?

    • @DiamondDogTraining
      @DiamondDogTraining  Рік тому

      The Flagline has a clip over the shoulders and a clip at the front of the chest. Any harness with those clips is a no pull harness. The Flagline is padded, but I a. Sure you will wear a light jacket under the harness to protect the skin if your puppy. Thank you Joyce

    I disagree. I have Labs that are strong pullers and the Easy Walk is the only one that works. None of the dogs shown in this segment has this harness fitted correctly per the instructions that come with the harness. If adjusted correctly there is no chafing and it does not hang down as shown in the video. I use the Easy Walk Deluxe which is a bit heavier and has padded straps.

      Hi Sharon, Thank you for your comment. I am glad the Easy Walk Harness works for you. Every dog is built differently. Perhaps the broad chest of your Labs allows the chest strap to be snug across the chest and not slide down. When people would bring dogs to my daycare, many of the dogs had the chest strap fitted too loose. i would tighten the strap and the next time the strap would be loose again. i am glad you have the chest strap fitted properly and the Easy Walk Harness works for your dog. @@DiamondDogTraining Yes, I know the dog in your video was a narrow chested breed, perhaps the Easy Walk would not fit them properly. I recommend visiting a good local independent pet store and they can help choose the best harness for your breed and needs. I have several different types, including the Y front type for flyball as it doesn't restrict movement and a heavy duty backpack harness for hiking. Thank you and happy training!! I look forward to more of your videos.

      Hi Sharon, Thank you for giving us the information about the Y type harness i do like the Blue-9 Balance beacause it does not restrict movement. i have seen many people using this harness at Agility trials. Thank you for your suggestions. Joyce

    Seems like no one makes the perfect harness for pulling dogs. Some have partial padding, no padding, or everything padded. Some have metal attachment points in front while others a webbed one. I want a deluxe version that's fully padded, metal front D ring, and two girth straps. Anyone, anyone, Bueller??

    • @DiamondDogTraining
      @DiamondDogTraining  Рік тому

      I find the Ruffwear Flagline or Front Range is the closest I can find to the best harness. Fully padded, 2 straps. I would like the front attachment to be metal but Ruffwear says the attachment is very strong. It is fine for my dogs because they are small. They say the attachment will work for all dogs. Thank you. Joyce

      My puppy gets super excited when putting on a harness. She won’t stop wiggling and she likes to bite my hand when I try to clip it. 😊

    • @DiamondDogTraining
      @DiamondDogTraining  2 роки тому

      @@marianne-8979 try putting dry food or treats on the ground to keep your puppy busy while you slip the harness over his neck and clip the straps. I teach my dog “Wait” to get them to sit still on a bench while I put on the harness. That would also help you. Thank you. Let me know if you have questions. Joyce

    If you don't have a sled dog... DON'T GET A HARNESS. wtf.
    Harnesses are cruel.

      Harnesses are the opposite of cruel. Properly fit Y front harness protect a dogs neck from injury a collar of any type would cause.

      I agree with Caitlin. Harnesses are much safer than a collar.
