Thanks for the video. Agree with your comments. I use the chest mount for all my running videos and I agree, it does swing everywhere. I found if you over tighten it and turn the camera upside down it makes it slightly more stable, however, as with my videos, its not perfect and does still bob around during the run.
nice one Glen, i've been searching for this type of review video. bought a chesty for recording runs, but the footage is crazy shakey with my gopro hero 8. Keep in mind I havent used boost yet. From looking at your footage, the boost should improve it, but now thinking i might just use the gopro handheld/mini tripod when running on boost mode haha. the chest mount might come in handy for something else.
Thank you for the feedback! Yes I was pretty disappointed too with the Chesty when it comes to running to be honest, even when I do have it as tight as possible it isn't the comfiest and still jumps about all over the shop! I have found when you have the GoPro upside down on the Chesty you get a better angle, And I have found it useful when cycling or walking (less jumpy exercises!) . I think when it comes to jumping around you don't get the best quality even on Boost mode. Maybe we need a Chesty Gimbal 3.0 to resolve this issue 😂
Hey Importon, Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I think it was just a tad too dark to be shooting with an auto shutter speed. Also for the Reelsteady experiment I did shoot in a 4:3 Ratio and then brought the raw footage into the software, I should have been more clearer in the video about that. I personally feel like the experiment could have perhaps been executed a bit better, for example a tighter chest mount, a brighter day, and turned the GoPro upside down to eliminate the downward tilt. Thanks again for your feedback 👍
thank you for taking the time to record this review!

you gotta get your shutter speed up to get rid of the motion blur. also you should shoot in 4:3 mode for reelsteady
