      Don't think that is true
He said he thought the Ufc was barbaric and almost gladiator-like fans etc but also said that he didn't know enough to have a educated opinion on it, and about bivol, he said his last performance wasn't the best and that Canelo would win but so did most people but unfortunately you are correct he did say he was a mediocre champion🤔👍🏻

UFC fighters do lack skill in certain departments, Their striking is average at best, of course they can hit hard & KO people but of you put then in a standup fight in OneFc they would be exposed

I agree completely. It's a massive turnaround for Talksport, but still - get with the times! MMA is the fastest growing sport in the world and your lead pundit on it is Simon Jordan ffs. They also spent more time talking to Jake Paul than Tom Aspinall. lol
I remember about 5 years ago (roughly when McGregor was champ-champ and Bisping was Middleweight champ) Goughy and Adrian spent a whole drive time show going on about how disgusting MMA is and how it's so barbaric... yet both presenters admitted they'd never actually watched it!
Unless they're talking about football, none of the presenters have a bloody' clue what they're talking about. They need a dedicated combat sports show on Friday evenings or something so they can actually have some people on who know their stuff.

I’ve been a lifelong boxing fan and picked MMA up around 15 years ago, I’d certainly say that the UFC puts consistently better fights on than boxing does across the board - with PFL/Bellator and One chipping in with some decent stuff sporadically. As far as the point you made, I’d suggest that’s just down to your lack of detailed understanding of boxing… I certainly suffered from that when getting into MMA!

I think Blaydes should be the favourite here, Blaydes is such a dangerous fight for anyone because of his wrestling and he can pack a punch that throws people off guard. Aspinall is definitely the prospect though and the way he obliterated Volkov has to be respected. I don't think I've ever seen Volkov get beat that easily. At least not that I can think of anyway he seems to give everyone a good fight, battered Lewis before the KO, had some good success against Gane, also gave Blaydes a good fight to a point where Blaydes was criticised for the way he won the fight. Aspinall just walked through him.

@@Artesian_mirage Surprised you say that tbh, I think if anything Tom wants to keep this standing as much as he can. The problem with wrestlers though is that the threat of the takedown keeps people off guard and they actually get an advantage with their standup because of it.
So hopefully Tom doesn't get caught, but I think if Tom lets Blaydes get on top of him it's going to be a bad night, Blaydes can spam takedowns all night long. Only Lewis and Ngannou have managed to catch him before he's succeeded in a takedown.
