Wild Camping up in the Arrochar Alps testing out the Vango Starav 200 in Windy conditions

I left the car at ardgartan and Hiked up through part of the cowal way, one of Scotlands long distance walks. I planned to camp up on the brack witch is one of the mountains in the arrochar alps of the Scottish Highlands. The wind was too strong so I pitched the vango starav 200 not as high to hide from the wind.
I set up the vango starav 200 tent and got all my sleeping kit set up and got the tent all tied down with the guy ropes.
The day was absolutely beautiful with the sun hitting the hill tops. I tried to get my drone up for some airiel footage but the wind was too strong so I cooked my lamb steaks and soba noodles and had a few pale ales and enjoyed the night in the tent.
The vango starav 200 done absolutely brilliant with the windy conditions and stood strong and I felt confident during the night that I would be OK.

Cracking wee video mate i live down in Lochgoilhead, i've done that ardgarten loop on my bike that you seen paul doin it's some workout 😂 been meaning to do the brack myself, just got a kayak and theres one or two spots down Lochgoil i want to check out for camping

Nice video mate, I like the look of this tent but heard that it suffers from condensation. What's your experience been like with it?

Thanks for watching mate I've only used it twice and had no issues with condensation but the 2 times I used it, it was a little bit windy

Is that a scouser accent 😂😂 good wee vid! I do a lot of camping myself mate but very rarely on the hills tbh I just cannot be arsed with the wind! I tend to cling the the water sites so a can get a little fishing done! I subbed you mate seen your a fellow Scot 👍

I'm only a beginner but looking for a tent that will last me and will survive harsh winds, rain etc (had a bad experience last time with cheap gear but still on a budget). Liked the specs and design of the strava and the Vango banshee. Cheers for informative vid.
