I wouldn't truly know what it feels like to camp on the top of a mountain, to watch the sun go down, see the moon rise and catch the wonder of the sunrise the next morning, without watching your video Murray. Thank you for capturing it so well, and for the intelligent commentary!
So so happy you do do it, Murray!! 🙂🙂 Your channel is by far the best on You Tube and it's a real delight and privilege to be able to follow your adventures, and appreciate the scenery, your videography skills and your narrative!! Thank you! 🤩🤩
Because I can leave all the nonsense behind and it makes me feel alive. Coffee at sunrise and Scotch (Laphroaig in my case) at sunset - they're not drinks, they're libations. The only thing I don't understand Murray is why you haul all that extra heavy gear just to bring us these peerless videos - but I'm mighty grateful that you do!
Great video Murray. I was the camper who got a fright when your headtorch popped up on the summit. It was great to meet you after watching so many of your videos.
@@ScotlandsMountains Your actually the first person I've ever met on any wild camp and Instantly recognisable just by your voice 😂. The conditions and sunrise were perfect. This video pretty much explains every reason I like to go wild camping.
Thanks Ellen, absolutely , I am not out this weekend as need to re charge the batteries (and edit my adventures from last weekend trip to Skye!!lol Thanks for watching ATB Murray
Some people only make connections with other people, for me the connection I have with nature is often stronger and unwavering. It feels like going home for me. I sound like a lunatic but so be it 🤣
On the flip side in regards to weather conditions ie sunsets and the like,I went a hike this week in winter like conditions, dull, winds and rain. And it was equally brilliant. I just love being out in our wilds
I love your videos. It reminds me of the spirit of a Scottish mountaineer who wrote a wonderful book "The evidence of things not seen. W. H. Murray". I strongly recommend it. Even though I live in the other corner of Europe (Spain), your videos bring to my memories my trips to the Highlands. Beautiful land, the contrast of sea and mountains is unique there. Only compared to the coast of Norway. Keep the good work, and the search for Beauty
I don't wild camp as often as I would like to but when I do I always say that I'm spending the night in the one billion star hotel. Oh, and a wee dram is a must! Another superb video, and it captures perfectly the reasons why some people wild camp. Thank you 👍🙂
Yup, the majority will think you are nuts but we know, for all the reasons specified, why it is worth every minute. Peace, solitude, the sound of the breeze in the grasses and mother nature doing her thing and you having the time to stop and watch. Thanks for sharing Murray
I'm glad you do this for us Murray. Stunning sunset and sunrise in a wonderful location. Keep them coming and don't forget your hip flask as you deserve a dram or to when your resting. ATB and look forward to the next one.

Honestly this was really needed after a very stressful day. This one resonates with me in so many ways. I love my wild camps and as you know my hillwalking. So good for your wellbeing Murray. Funnily enough as soon as I watched the first few seconds of this I knew straight away what Corbett you were on as I have been wanting to do it for months but the munros have been getting in the way!

We are entering the most magical time of the year for this pastime in my opinion Murray, the autumn colours of coppers, reds and yellows. The magical skies and everything they have to offer. @ScotlandsMountains Schiehallion, it was one of the most raw experiences I've had in life. Doing it alone hits different and I also managed it in 3 hours but have a massive blister on my foot to show for it Thanks again for the videos, easily my most watched channel.
@@GingerManWithACam ah nice one - I like Schiehallion up until the half way point ! The boulder and underfoot conditions thereafter are a nightmare so we’ll done for getting up and down quickly 👍👍
