Fascinating presentation. You gotta start somewhere, I guess. I actually first knew Famke as Xenia Onatopp from the Pierce Brosnan James Bond movie Golden Eye. Gene Simmons has also done a low budget thriller, Runaway [1984] starring Tom Selleck and based on a Michael Crichton novel. I wasn't quite old enough to see that in theaters back when. I remember Shannon Tweed back when she became Playboy's Playmate of the Year in 1982. I, uh, borrowed my Dad's copies of Playboy back then. Yeah, borrowed, that's the ticket. She's got a lot of B movies in her resume.

Yes there are many good 90s movies we forgot or are just not on streaming. Also I think Cat Woman was not that bad compare to the super boring and full of cringe new movies Hollywood is making. Also I liked alot the Resident evil movies with milla Hohonovich. I think people were unfair at the time or we were just hearing the critics who just hate everything. I have pass years searching for a horror movie about a gigant ant in a hospital with no luck.
I hear you, and I do think most superhero films today are below Halle's 2004 film, but I think the biggest issue with Halle's Catwoman, is the major disrespect to the Catwoman character.. why couldn't Halle play Selina? Why doesn't it take place in gotham? and most important, why would Catwomans first solo film not feature Catwoman? I think that's what turned so many people off.. that and the costume.
I loved this movie when I first saw it on TV in the 90's. The next time it aired I taped it but just discovered recently that I accidently taped over it and I've never been able to find it on DVD. Famke Janssen and Shannon Tweed. I was in heaven.
I cannot remember whether or not I have seen this movie. 🤷 I have seen a lot of low budget direct to home video movies, especially during the Blockbuster Video era. I might have rented Lady X However, I might think I have seen the movie because it is so similar to the hundreds of superhero films that I have seen, theatrical, home video, and TV. Then again, perhaps I read the comic book the film was based on. I bought a ton of independent comics in that era as well. Did I rent the movie because I read the comic? Argh! I just don't know for sure.

I hadn't heard of this movie, but it sounds like it was done in the vein of "Black Scorpion" and "M.A.N.T.I.S.", superhero movies that doubled as pilots for series.
