My wildest Albedo theory to date:

This idea has been rolling around in my head for almost a full year, and I figured now was a good time to get to it. Between the audiobooks and theory vids, my favorite thing about Genshin really is just the expertly crafted characters and their lore. Albedo was the first one that really grabbed and inspired me, so he was the one to start with for sure. Others I want to get to soon include Mona Megistus, Fischl, and Baizhu. - Ігри

Unfortunately, if I start talking about rocks I will not stop, it will be worse than Osmanthus Wine, just trust me when I say this is the visual representation of Albedo's "Calcite Might"

Interesing how Albedo and Scaramouche's backstories share similar themes yet their character took different paths.
Both are artificial beings.
Both were created through arts related with Khaenri'ah (Khemia and Puppetry)
Both have "siblings" (Raiden Shogun / Durin and the failed Albedo.)
Both were abandoned by their creators.
Scaramouche was created to hold the Electro Gnosis.
Albedo holds a dangerous power within that he himself fears.
Despite his rather distant attitude, Albedo grow to form friendships and beloved by his adoptive family.
Kabukikomono also had a found family with the swordsmiths. But due unability to understand his own emotions, he took those deaths as betrayal.
Ironically, during his time as Scaramouche, he found that the stars of Teyvat are fake. A revealition that Albedo wishes to known.

Scaramouche didn't take the swordsmith's deaths as a betrayal, their betrayal was when he opened up about being a puppet and they told him to hide it from other people. He perceived it as them being disgusted by his inhuman nature, but in reality they wanted to protect him from other's judgement and scorn. The death he saw as a betrayal was the child, because the child promised him they'd be "together forever", as kids do, and he believed the kid.
Also I wouldn't say Albedo was really ABANDONDED, I mean, Alice still checks up on him (great apple archipelago) and Alice and Gold have a close connection through the hexenzirkel. Gold gave him a purpose in life to research khemia, Alice gave him family... You can't honestly call that abandonment. Not to the same degree of Raiden putting Scara in a coma and dumping him in an abandoned house where *he wasn't even supposed to wake up*.
@@jadecoolness101 When you put it that way, yeah it makes sense. A more fair example would be to compare Scaramouche to Subject Two/Dorian.
Bruh i doubt Albedo doesn't know that. The stars being fake is merely a SMALL PART of what Albedo was tasked to find. Why exactly the stars are fake? Who made that fake sky? What exactly are the Visions? What are the principles behind all of this world?
Is it possible change those principles or atleast acquire a better way of using those ? And many, many other questions. That is Albedo's task. I think that the Hat Guy just got a meager of it all. Albedo himself would get this knowledge from Mona, Alice, or most probably from his master-creator, Rhinedottir, as a part of his education.
after fontaine i thought that albedo was just like carter but instead of using hilichurls as the base they used elementals.
I'm surprised there hasn't been an Albedo banner in so long especially with his connection to Elynas.
Despite being related to the Abyss, Elynas seemed to be chill just like Albedo, and self aware of the danger they can cause. You could say the Melusines are relatives to him which is cute.
I like to think that the revelation that Rhinedottir made when they discovered the Heart of Naberius was similar to that of when Oborashi discovered Celestia was not of this world. Maybe she left him to go into hiding so as not to recieve the same concequences as Orobashi? I'm still wondering who the Heart of Naberius belongs to if it is indeed a gnosis, since all the archons seemed to still have theirs prior to meeting the Traveler. And with the knowledge that the gnoses are made of the 3rd descender, who are they??? So many questions
it is really good to see you actually playing honkai impact 3rd that gives your theorys much value in the long run
I’m going back and playing HI3 myself just to get some perspective on where Hoya started and stories they’ve already told and hopefully it will give some insight into Genshin and HSR through some story similarity
dont know if its really important noting but in the main event of 2.3 he made chairs from sketches and was able to manipulate how they turned out.

About the cecilia flowers... I know this isn't a video about Venti but his connections to the flower is a bit more interesting than being a Wendy expy. Genshin's twitter account is oftenly used to introduce characters through a small dialogue. For exemple, Neuvillette introduced Nahida that way long before Fontaine was released. For Venti, the cecilia flowers are the ones who introduced him mentioning that they represent the prodigal son's true feelings. I believe you can find this small blurb of text in the wiki. Also, when you showed the power of decomposition from Honkai, I couldn't help but remember the thorny vines shooting from Venti's statue at 26:20. Maybe there is a connection here as well?

I really love this video and all the lore and theories you presented in detail. I hate how a large portion of his fans simplify his lore and his importance down to "hurr hurr chalk man" although imo "Chalk" here has a very interesting and complex meaning. I think Chalk is more metaphoric than anything to be taken too literally and whatever it means, it's not your average earthly chalk lol. Also, cretaceus means "chalk-like" rather than "chalk" (creta), which might further underline chalk as a metaphor. In his character story, chalk is referred to as spotless soil that was used to make primordial humans and is "birthed from soil" , the soil which all natural life stems from, and it's said that the "next step after soil is chalk". I personally believe it's a metaphor implying he's an artificially created "advanced human" who is supposed to be superior to current humanity. Him being created as a primordial human would make sense as primordial elements or beings are presented as superior and powerful (compare primogems to mora for example lol). Anyways I'm digressing, but this is one thing that has been bugging me a lot, sorry. I'm just glad to see some people take him and his lore seriously for once. You're also one of the very few people who even cared to mention his relation to the Primordial Human Project as its only successful specimen and what this might imply.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Albedo was my first fav, and Dragonspine + Sal Vindagnyr is what got me into theorycrafting in the first place. He deserves to be taken seriously and I do my best!

Actually, Albedo's Japanese VA is what got me into the game in the first place, however, after reading about his lore and all its implications I was super hooked and despite finding other characters interesting as well throughout the game, it's never been to the same extent as Albedo. Still maining him to this day ^^

I notice a lot of ppl saying that the two final stages of the philosophers stonebeing swapped in game but as far as I know Albedo is the only source for that so maybe he just got the two mixed up and they are the same as in our worlds alchemy.

"I've got a lot of red string on a cork board about..." XD You KNOOOOWWWW.... there's a whole lot of references to "dust" as the material of life, especially for humans, here. (Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.) Makes me wonder about the God of Dust and just what her secrets are.... a connection to the Shade of Life? I don't know the timeline of old events like when Guizhong died vs when Egeria was created by the Shade of Life, though. But I'mma keep that one in the back of my mind, because I'm certain Guizhong is important. Her sleeves are filled with the universe, aka _stardust._ I think calling her the God of Dust was a misdirection, meant for us to think of her as a minor deity like the God of Salt.

I feel like the Fatui Harbingers are more parallel to the flame chasers, they have all been metamorphized with some kind of creature and they have been built to be as strong as Archons or even stronger.
Wrong. Not all harbingers are metamorphosed with some kind of creature, it's just a Signora with a butterfly and no one else. And they are not builded, they are just strong humans and not humans who was recruited to Fatui. And they are not as strong as the Archons, only the first three are powerful as the Gods, but not powerful as the archons.

“Calcite Might- calcite is a component of limestone”… I think that’s thinking backwards… calcite is CaCO3, or chalk- it’s the mineral name for chalk.
More complex crystalline forms of calcites are spars, limestones, and marbles…
Idk if im being an idiot but i looked through neuvilettes character story and i cant see the line about constellations (6:08 roughly). Is that the exact quote/what character story of his is it in?
Not sure that Xiao and Yae Miko belong on that list. Like Ganyu they seem to have a pretty generic sounding Constellation name that seems more about a whole species than an individual. Is "Divine Fox" unique to Yae Miko? What about her former boss wasn't she a Kitsune and high priestess too? We're not told if there's more adepti like Xiao but the Constellation name doesn't match his story quest. Ganyu we know is only one of many Qilin. These appear to be species or sub-species specific constellations. That's not true of Wanderer or Albedo who belong to no species, and both of whose constellations figure in the game art elsewhere than just their characters' information pages.
Might as well say Yanfei should be on the list. Who's to say Bestia Iustitia isn't a personal name or title? Or that Itto isn't an actual bull?
If it comes down to the constellation being a unique representation of the individual even Kirara does better.
