The Juke is very popular in the UK, and it is so for a number of very practical reasons - 1) It's compact but has ample space for husband and/or wife plus kids, dogs, shopping etc. 2) It has AWD and all the other safety gizmos that make you feel safe. 3) CVT is wonderful in day-to-day driving. 4) It's very nippy. In fact, on the open road, it's bloody fast. 5) Nissan provide a top notch dealer network and good finance deals. 6) The red interior highlights are not obligatory.
Took the '12 Versa in for an oil change...left in a brand new '14 Juke. Why?... A - I heard they were all turbos which was intriguing. B - I heard there's a bit of a tuning community with them...very intriguing. C - Found out they can be had with a 6MT...Intrigue piqued. D - Found out the 6MT weighs only 2900lbs...yup...solid interest now. At the dealer, thought "hey...let's check one out..." They happened to have ONE 6MT and it HAPPENED to be THE color we wanted, options we wanted and at the price we wanted. We were blown away in the test drive as it's WAY more fun than we expected it to be and they made us a very good deal on our Versa. Done. We love it.
I just became a very proud owner of the 2015 Juke in gun metal grey. I've owned for just over a month and could not be happier. It seems as though I might be one of the very few for whom looks were the initial draw to this car. After having driven it for over a month, including 2 long distance cruises, I still find excuses to take this beauty out for a spin. There are very few other Jukes on the road, so I feel exceptional when driving mine. I am averaging 32.9 mpg! My 2013 Toyota Sport was getting 25.6 average mpg. That sucked!! I would recommend the Juke to those looking for gas mileage and looks.
Here's an honest review from a guy that owns one: Cons-- Premium Unleaded recommended because of the turbo. kinda takes some of the joy out the current cheap gas prices. Paint is paper thin and scratches easily. CVT feels like you're always starting off in 2nd gear. Interior wears on you after a while. That 32mpg hwy might be a stretch. I'd say 30, but still not bad. Moderate torque steer. Make sure you're pointed straight if you're gonna hammer it. Remember, this is a VERY SMALL CAR. Pro's: Plenty enough zip to get on the interstate. Small enough to park almost anywhere you want. Heat and air work quickly. Atypical styling--doesn't look like another altima. Sits high enough that you don't "feel" like you're in a small car. We keep the back seats folded down for the extra cargo room. Stereo sounds "ok".
I like the bullfrog look. Unlike other cars with chrome and bling blind which looks like its more for women than dudes, I like the compact, bulky look. Its like a tough little guy :-)
I was actually drawn to the car because of the looks. Drove a beetle previously, but my old car was too expensive for repair and I wanted something sporty with awd for snow, without the sports car price tag. Just bought a year old one and so far it's great. 20 bucks filled it right up. The features are awesome and you barely see any of these on the road, you get noticed easily by car enthusiasts for sure.
The Juke is ugly, but it doesn't look like a dull bar of soap. I'd honestly rather see one of these everyday in the driveway than something like the Versa Sedan.

He doesn't even have the AWD Torque Vectoring enabled. At the 6:02 mark, if AWD is enabled it would be lighted up green with AWD-V in the panel. Terrible.

The Mirrage is a successful vehicle in South East Asia market due to its size, fuel economy and low price. In US market, I don't see a point of buying it unless you live New York.
why is the 0-60 times so much different like almost 2 seconds from the other juke 0-60 times you previously did? did you guys figure out how to launch it?
I had one of these, and I always thought it seemed quickish. There's another channel on here, I won't mention their name because I'm not advertising them (although I'll say they're based in Australia), and they did a 0-60 mph (0-100 km/h) test using proper testing equipment (professional GPS), and they got a time of 7.1 seconds. And that's for the AWD CVT model, that Nissan says will do 0-60 in about 8.4 seconds. So, yeah, I knew it was a little quicker than Nissan said.
DonaId Trump they also are being conservative on the hp numbers. These and the Sentra SR turbos both consistently put down ~180 whp, which means these actually have over 200 crank hp.
All CVTs have some delay when moving and suddenly pressing hard on the pedal. The transmission has to find the ratio as the engine is reving up. Overall the CVTs are more efficient and are very precise.
Jerry G. My biggest gripe with cvts is their poor reliability, was looking at a midsized 7 seater suv, glad I bought the explorer because if I had a pathfinder I'd shoot myself, very unreliable car.
Puff the Magic Dragon they haven't had cvt issues for a few years now. The earlier one had a slight design flaw that was worked out. Not everyone had the issue though.
I got a juke from the dealer as a loaner. It was the sl model 6 speed manual trans. I am a big guy 5'10 and about 375 lbs and I fit fine. The car was awesome. It was fun to drive with plenty of speed and it had awd so it cornered tight. I have a chevy camero too and the juke was as fun if not more than the camaro to drive. In fact I about traded my harley davidson in on that juke. 10/10 for this consumer I was pleased and impressed with the nissan juke.
Patrick Prince Nissan juke doesn't come with AWD and a manual transmission. You mean AWD with automatic 5 speed shiftable automatic, or a FWD 6 speed manual?
Well if thats true I guess it was the fwd 6 speed manual. Thou I have had fwd before and this car didn't have a "pull" feeling it was more even when I got on the gas. But regardless awd or fwd it was a great car and it was a 2011.

I have a 2015 Nissan Juke (1.6 Nismo) in my garage at home and it's great fun at weekends thanks to it's surprisingly good 4x4 system. Obviously it can't go off-road in the same way a Jeep or Land Rover can, but then it's a lot more refined than any of their models when driving in town. I imagine a lot of Americans would shun the idea of a 1,600cc engine (in any car). But the reality is it hits 60mph in 7.8 seconds and averages around 42mpg just messing around in it at weekends. On that basis what's not to like? Just one question... Why do Americans insist on calling Nissans "Neeesans" (as in Liam Neeson)? It's "niss" as in "piss". You don't say "Now I'm really peeesed".
