You make it sound like it's just a styling exercise, It's not, the Nismo RS has a stiffened body shell (this is why you will never see a Nismo RS with a sunroof) bigger wheels, bigger uprated brakes, uprated suspension, uprated engine components (Forged pistons/rods etc) Electronic LSD and MUCH more power, I've owned mine for 7 years since new and have only had an issue with torque steer at very low speeds, really can't understand how you could describe it as boring ?? I've had V8 Jags and V6 Alfas and the Juke Nismo RS is so much more fun to drive
I drive a 2011 SL and I love this car. Not as fun as my TL type s but it’s an amazing daily. Just whippy enough and sporty enough to stay fun. Even with the automatic transmission it’s a fun little car I feel invincible in that little thing 😂
I've enjoyed one for 6 years and it doesn't torque steer with the traction control switched off. Plus it handles way better especially with good rubber
@@ShiftingMetal yeah a lot of the time it’s to do with suspension mounts, bushes and ball joints all being worn that create the torque steer n give it a hard pull left. Had a dealership try rip me off with one saying it’s just how the car should be so went n test drove the one I brought n it was no where near that. Have a look at those 3 things as they’re normally the biggest causes of it!
Quite an easy way of reducing tourque steer In rs's is by turning off traction control, it drastically reduces the tourque steer, and there's not much tire slippage just normal driving
I just got a 2017 nismo rs and I love this little car. My last 2 cars was a mini and an mr2, and I like this one the best. Reminds me a lot of my ex's cooper s, but a little taller. very agil little car, and more cargo space than most the cars in this size range.
Had one for around a year. Stage 1 remapped. Was fun to drive, however it did cost a fair bit on juice to run. Have to say on the torque steering, it caught me out once and the car was nearly sideways before turning into it. Really had to pander around corners. Miss the car, but just wasn't practical enough especially with fuel costs currently.
Good and honest review. Owned one for 14 months, was disappointing overall. + the seats + I liked the styling + the manual gearbox felt really good - interior quality (gear knob, alcantara on steering wheel & seats were very worn after 95.000km (+-60.000 miles)) - never really felt fast - very noisy on highway/motorway - useless boot space (the interior cover was also broken after 2 years...)
Handling is like a boat with the standard nismo RS suspension, the car doesn’t give you any confidence to corner quickly, engine runs out of steam high in the rev range, seating position is horrible, choose carefully before purchasing
If you’re looking to buy one, test drive first, driving position - performance- build quality is crap, handling is ropey, torque steer is horrific, honestly these are not great
Incorrect mate, recaros were optional extras, a couple grand of I remember rightly. FWD RS's came stock with LSD's and of course 218 hp, not all rs's cam with racaros, ours certainly doesn't, same goes with tech pack
Awful car with awful performance Well overrated, standard suspension is terrible, feels like a boat on the corner with poor steering wheel feedback, it’s just a juke with a turbo engine, that’s all

Well, to each their own I suppose, as long as you enjoy yours there’s no real need to worry what I think about them 🤷♂️
Awful car, totally overated
Better than a Golf GTI@@issachunt4743

The Nissan Juke Nismo RS is beautiful and a car that walks quite a lot with a unique design.
I've enjoyed one for 6 years and it doesn't torque steer with the traction control switched off. Plus it handles way better especially with good rubber
The nismo rs has a lsd, and mine doesn’t torque steer at all. Absolutely beautiful to drive n on a stage 1 remap got 5.1 seconds to 60
Fair enough, I thought the tracking was off or something but all checks out and I see people mentioning it reviews a lot 🤷♂️

ive been dailying mine for 2 years now best daily driver ive ever had
The torque steering ain’t an issue in this car, the car is great
Can’t go wrong with a Nissan they have made some great cars

Hi there, I’m looking to purchase this same car. What is your experience so far? Any mechanical issues? How much is the maintenance? How is the drive?
@@annaj8364 The manual is a solid car. Avoid the cvt automatic.
Turn traction control OFF to reduce torque steer .

But have you sold any? Good margin?
You have officially warded me off from a fleeting midnight interest I had in this car. Thank you, sire

Hi there, any mechanical issues?
@@annaj8364 Hi, car was consuming a bit of oil. Otherwise it was fine. Previous owner never encounted a mechanical issue.
Helo
How is this engine? Any problems? Its a good buy?
Thanks
The nismo rs actually has a limited slip differential
I would like a juke nismo rs.
Great vid as always Joe. A very marmite car as you said. Love have a go in one but not sure I'd leave my BMW for one. 😉😂
It's still probably more reliable than a BMW. 😂

Bullshit
Plus the steering wheel get tacky really quick
Just wrap it in a damp cloth for half an hour and then give it a rub, comes up good as new
1500-2k sand paper, light runs down ways removes the worn suede, eBay for red leather paint for the stripe and keep the leather clean mine looks good
Vulgar but it has the same engine from the Clio RS with a manual gearbox so I guess that's a selling point
If you’re looking to buy one, test drive first, driving position - performance- build quality is crap, handling is ropey, torque steer is horrific, honestly these are not great
Your car is not a nismo rs. Nismo rs having Recado racing seat and 215 not 210 bhp. It has bigger brake pad... poor review...
The seats are an optional extra and it is a Nismo. It has 214bhp, as stated by the factory, to be exact… poor comment…
@@ShiftingMetal The Recaro seats where standard fitment in some markets, and the bhp is 215 (218 ps)

Kinda pity it's FWD..
Nismo RS is AWD in us. NISMO alone is FWD
@tteokbokkisdiary
Nismo and Nismo RS can be FWD(6 speed manual trans or AWD (automatic trans)
The Focus ST is a better car ...
Why even bother making a nismo in juke, looks disaster!
The nismo RS has awful quality brakes, which is Shame
Why do you say it's a shame ? you obviously hate the car with a passion judging by your other comments...............btw the brakes are excellent
