(although ive heard more fuel and less timing helps)

The new C63 has 421hp (same motor as the A45S) + hybrid system of 260hp what gives the car a total power of around 680hp. That’s impressive for a 2.0L 4cylinder but has no emotions at all, this is not the reason why we were AMG lovers. Back in the days i fell in love with AMG because they put 6.2L V8’s in C classes, 5.5L bi-turbo engines in E classes that’s what we want back.
It's a cool car, but not really worthy of the AMG batch imo. Getting away from the V6/8, understandable. But then going for a hybrid 4 cylinder, idk. And there are wayyy better sounding 4 cylinders for less!

I purchased the C43. Close to 20,000 miles driving from Oregon to California quite a bit. Went to the track a few times as well. Haven't have any issues. So far, it's been a really good daily driver first, performance second. I have a 2023 M3 that I love as well but that isn't my daily and that one I'm scared for it to break down haha.

This is a car for accountants and other corporate wannabes, not for enthusiasts! The AWD is too boring (unless you live somewhere where it snows and you need it), otherwise you can’t slide it, and car wants to understeer everywhere, the 4 cyl engine sounds horrible, interior is so tacky, exterior is ugly, car is too heavy…. should I keep going?! The car industry is going downhill for sure, just give me a car with RWD drivetrain, straight 6 turbo engine, and 6 speed manual with a short wheelbase, lightweight, and a classic dial gauges with needles. Something like the A90/91 Supra with B58 engine, or a previous gen BMW M2 Competition or M3/4… etc.

The car doesn’t do the basics such as recognizing the proximity key, locking on its own, alerts going off when just taking turns or driving up the road with nobody near. I’ve turned it off in traffic to stop the alerts.

That’s very smart engineering, using engine braking to power the electric motor that spools the turbo that boosts up the inline. Inline 4’s are already impressively smooth/powerful/reliable and efficient on lighter cars, but Mercedes probably thought with the extra weight of the deadening, suspension and the turbo might help with power and the weight with the electric motor regeneration. But I’m just assuming all that

Mercedes interior is getting worse each year. Those models from 7-10 years ago look outdated already. Bad decision making to include so many screens. Buttons are timeless.

M276 biturbo was a better motor. They should’ve put the new inline 6 in it instead of the 4cylinder.

Watching this and other reviewers makes me honestly worry that the modern Mercedes buyer has no idea what they’re missing out on due to MB not being anywhere close to the same brand they were even 20 years ago.

An “inline 4 cylinder”… Really? I mean, seriously? My golf mk7 has an inline 4 cylinder, like virtually EVERY other car with a 4 cylinder engine. That would be interesting if there was a v4 for example and for whatever reason. Those videos are just such a shame to me to see that most of the stuff on the internet is just about advertising in most arrogant ways, it actually takes time to find something genuine and useful for the customer

That’s very smart engineering, using engine braking to power the electric motor that spools the turbo that boosts up the inline. Inline 4’s are already impressively smooth/powerful/reliable and efficient on lighter cars, but Mercedes probably thought with the extra weight of the deadening, suspension and the turbo might help with power and the weight with the electric motor regeneration. But I’m just assuming all that
