OHMYGOD! The Aftershock is.. Amazing. I went to Silverwood almost every weekend last year. We used to ride it up to 13 times in a row. Never gets old. Going up before the first drop, the view of the mountains and everything is AMAZING.
I rode it. It's not that scary. I mean, what scares you the most is accepting the fact that you're going to have to get on it if you don't want to be seen as a chicken. That's really the hardest part. Once you've done that; Afterwards you feel like you can accomplish anything. Sounds stupid but that's how I felt.
Gojida Spin Cycle was terrifying the first time but it became relaxing for me. It was my favorite ride. I went on it four times but I found Aftershock terrifying at the first drop but the least terrifying going backwards. I only went on it twice. It was near the bottom of my favorites list.
@@keylime_pi3.143 I just went on spin cycle with my gf for the first time a week ago and the only thing that kinda freaked me out about it was the harness seems kinda sketchy. Also, my gf forgot she had her cell phone in her pocket and it slipped out while we were completely upside down, however it freaking landed in a bush right next to the ride and it freaking survived! No cracks whatsoever. Literally watched it fall from almost 100ft up. Shit was crazy lol
"Aftershock isn't your average coaster" To be fair, it kind of is considering its very heavily cloned around the world, compared to many other coasters...
I went on this a couple days ago. It's not as scary as it seems. It's only scary at the first drop, after that you're going so fast you can barely tell you're upside down and the cobra rolls just jerk you. This ride is more fun then scary.
EXACTLY!!! I just went on the 25th of August, and I remember that when I rode it 2 years ago I hated it!!! Mainly because my dad forced me on it even though I wanted to warm up with timber terror, this time he actually let me warm up, and I LOVED it
Driving to Idaho tonight! Going to Silverwood for the first time tomorrow, and it’s my first time going on a rollercoaster too!! Can’t wait to try aftershock!!! After a few easier rides😅🤘🏽
Taylor Gordon And don't forget it breaks down a lot. Last time I was there the ride got stuck twice. People were stuck hanging there for at least an hour each time.
I rode this as "De Ja Vu" at Six Flags over Georgia, and there's nothing like it!!! STRAIGHT DOWN and STRAIGHT DOWN BACKWARDS, back row is the best being pulled up!!
i went on that ride it was the funnest ever but that wwas 2 years ago and im going on oct 24 and I just watched this video and now i have butterflies in my stomache. Its an awesome ride but u made it seem so scary
This ride was ALWAYS down when it was at Great America. I think I only ever saw it running once or maybe twice over its lifetime. It was delayed from first opening for a while because of problems with the cars. It didn't surprise me when they got rid of it. They probably spent a fortune keeping it up and running.
I live close to this park, I have been too scared to ride lately, but I am sure to ride this coaster sometime in the summer. I recommend panic plunge and Timber terror for adrenaline junkies.
When I went here I was too scared to go on it. I heard that someone's metal belt thingy came off and I am terrified of that happening to me. I am going to Silverwood sometime in June so hopefully I can face this amazing ride. Oh, and I cant wait to go on Spin Cycle. They were testing it when I went to Silverwood last May!
I think he meant the Deja Vu from Six Flags Magic Mountain is now the Goliath at Six Flags New England. This one (Aftershock) was the Deja Vu from Six Flags Great America. He was correcting his previous comment.
God i was shaking the first time waiting in line for this. It was worth it but at the same time VERY nerve wracking 😂 (My friend promised to buy me a funnel cake to get me to go on)
Guys I’m going to silverwood soon. I need help because I wanna go on after shock but I have questions. How bad is the g force? What does it feel like? Does it bump your head around? Does it give you headaches? Does it hurt? Please answer!!!
I was on this ride a couple of years ago and my hands were shaking when it was over. This is one of those rides where you are praying the harness doesn't malfunction... cause it's a long way down....
That's weird, I was just at great America 2 years ago, and they still have this ride, only its purple and yellow. How in the hell does this place have it now if it was still at great America in 2010?
When I went on there I screamed the whole time. So scary! But that did not stop my sister going a second time, by herself, in the front. I was too scared to go on again!
BEST ride at Silverwood by far. Except when you wait over an hour in the line FINALLY get on and then stuck on the first tower & shuts down for the rest of day.
I go to silverwood every summer and it has been 13 years my dad was on the second ride of the aftershock it was awesome such a fun ride and was nick norton in this video I swerve I saw him lol
Last summer I went here and I'm 13. The first Time I went on it that first drop scared the crap out of me. After tho I ride it 6 more times. I really recommend this ride it's sooo crazy!
This ride was at SFMM, but they took it out, because it had a lot of technical issues. They're really gassing this ride up in the video, but it's not all that great.
Renee Lewis Actually this one originally operated at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, IL. It was down a lot at that park. Silverwood was aware of the problems before they purchased it and fixed it. Now it runs without any issues.
Aftershock was my second coaster I have ever rode and I thought it was the best, well it is for the Pacific northwest. But then I moved to ohio and went to cedar point. The raptor at cedar point has the loop and cobra roll but has 5 times more after that. Silverwood has the best coasters in the pnw, and the best rollercoaster manufacturer there too so when is silverwood going to get an rmc. An rmc at silverwood would really bring more people there. Rmc wouldn't break the bank, either a ground up, or modify one of the wooden coasters like steel vengeance at cedar point, or a rmc raptor model.
Idk what a rmc coaster is but I agree that they should add another metal coaster, but even bigger. Something which is atleast 50ft taller than aftershock would be cool, although I really doubt they have the room for another coaster, unless they scrap the corkscrew and make more room
i went on this ride at the end of last summer in aug. 2013 im from Alaska and this was my fist time at a theme park and first roller coaster ride too... it not for the faint of heart ... i don't know if i will ever go on one again .... :S
Just went to silver wood and had to ride aftershock! The first time I rode it was amazing!! It's soooo fast I rode it at least 3 times!'the line wasn't very long so that was good :)
I went on this a few days ago. Its not as scary as it seems. Sure I was trembling with fear but the only scary part is that first drop. The G's you feel is amazing. After that that your going so fast you dont feel anything else
I went on that last year for the first time. I closed my eyes the hole time and opened them and I was upside down. I was scared but went back on it till I almost puked. Sooo fun but the first time is scary.
Can any girls/women tell me how bad the pressure on your chest can get. I'm debating whether to go in this, so is chest pressure normal, does it stop anytime? Hope this isn't a weird question? Thanks :)
This rides notorious for breaking down, but its not usually the rides fault, quite iften its the operators. I work at an amusement park and a lot of the rides require a button/pedal, etc, to be held the entire time and if let go, the ride stops immediately. And they have to slowly bring it down
I wen't on this ride TODAY because I went to silverwood with my class and my friend was laughing at me the whole time because I was screaming so hard and loudly I thought I lost my voice! I thought the ride was gonna break and I was gonna fall and die and my friend was just sitting there chilling ya know? and then like 2 other people in the back were yelling out ''OMG I WANT MY MOMMY!'' it was two guys and they looked like they were 23 xD
I went to silverwood 2 weeks ago because my family only lives 8 hours away and u went on the cork screw and tremors and many other rides then the next day we went to the water part oh and the magic show if you can't go to Disney land or wor,d I really suggest silverwood
I love this ride me my dad and my twin went on it some years back and me and my twin we actually too small to go on but we did anyways😂 we are actually going to Silverwood in 2 days
The reason why its called aftershock is bc qhen u get off you can still feel yourself on the rollercoaster like its been 4 years i still have a faint feeling
Just a heads up: I'd HIGHLY recommend warming up by riding at least ONE of the other coasters in the park, tremors is a good choice because it's slower than aftershock by only like 5MPH, but corkscrew isn't a bad choice either, corkscrew is basically an inversion warmup for me. Whenever I ride aftershock first, I have my eyes closed the whole time, and it's just too overwhelming, but when I warmup, it's an AMAZING ride
My favorite ride their is probably Panic Plunge or Thunder Mountain I think it is I like how on Panic Plunge you can tell when it's gonna fall because it clicks
Seeing this "Goliath" just gave me "Deja Vu"
Shark Man X bro! Goliath got me fucked up.
But what about the flashback? Did you experience it during a Psyclone?
OHMYGOD! The Aftershock is.. Amazing. I went to Silverwood almost every weekend last year. We used to ride it up to 13 times in a row. Never gets old. Going up before the first drop, the view of the mountains and everything is AMAZING.
My first time EVER going to SilverWood, my friend made me go on aftershock for my VERY FIRST RIDE THERE.
I rode it. It's not that scary.
I mean, what scares you the most is accepting the fact that you're going to have to get on it if you don't want to be seen as a chicken.
That's really the hardest part.
Once you've done that;

CrayCrayAura I've never herd anyone explain it better
CrayCrayAura well in my opinion spincycle is scarier
Gojida Spin Cycle was terrifying the first time but it became relaxing for me. It was my favorite ride. I went on it four times but I found Aftershock terrifying at the first drop but the least terrifying going backwards. I only went on it twice. It was near the bottom of my favorites list.
Bruh I passed tf out

"Aftershock isn't your average coaster"
To be fair, it kind of is considering its very heavily cloned around the world, compared to many other coasters...
TheRollercoasterRedfish not the model but the boomerang idea yea
DownsideUp Coasters not a lot though.
DownsideUp Coasters there's like 5
DownsideUp Coasters heavily cloned would be an SLC or Corkscrew or Wild Mouse by the way the number of SLCs is *42*
TheRollercoasterRedfish it is definitely better than most boomerangs.
I went on this a couple days ago. It's not as scary as it seems. It's only scary at the first drop, after that you're going so fast you can barely tell you're upside down and the cobra rolls just jerk you. This ride is more fun then scary.

I just rode this ignorant scary ass ride yesterday!!! Ima big guy. 6'4'' 275lbs damn this made me cuss the untire time!!! Hahaha was awesome
Jake Perry I've gone to silverwood every summer for 7 years and it is the most fun ride there
Jake Perry six flags New England has this ride now it’s called Goliath...fun fun fun
Very true
Driving to Idaho tonight! Going to Silverwood for the first time tomorrow, and it’s my first time going on a rollercoaster too!! Can’t wait to try aftershock!!! After a few easier rides😅🤘🏽
0:25 Considering it's a boomerang, I think you do know what will happen next.
ah i miss this ride so much
and this was the Deja Vu from SF Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA
I’m from the area and after shock is awesome!
I love this ride!! I've been to silverwood so many times because I love in north idaho!!
This was my first roller coaster I ever rode
I LOVE SILVERWOOD!!
Susannah Reynolds ME TOO!
BassettHoundLove9
cooper heineek same
they also have the classic corkscrew from knotts berry farm
Going to do this roller coaster in 13 days. The Friday of Labor Day weekend. So excited!
theyre kinda playing up the ride a bit, like its super fun, but not as amazing as they make it sound lol
Yeah they are
Taylor Gordon And don't forget it breaks down a lot. Last time I was there the ride got stuck twice. People were stuck hanging there for at least an hour each time.
I was at silverwood on Monday and it broke down twice.
amanda town I'm going to silverwood july 16 I want to go on that ride
Vivianna Daniel its fun!
I rode this as "De Ja Vu" at Six Flags over Georgia, and there's nothing like it!!! STRAIGHT DOWN and STRAIGHT DOWN BACKWARDS, back row is the best being pulled up!!

I missed it whe it was at my home park Six Flags Great America. Still an amazing ride!
When I went here I was too scared to go on it. I heard that someone's metal belt thingy came off and I am terrified of that happening to me. I am going to Silverwood sometime in June so hopefully I can face this amazing ride. Oh, and I cant wait to go on Spin Cycle. They were testing it when I went to Silverwood last May!
theres an un-inverted boomerang near to where i live, yes, in england!
I went on that ride three times in a row, but on the third time it stalled and we were stuck on it for 45 minutes, So worth it.
My legs were like jello and I was shaking after that ride. I found it more terrifying than fun LOL
0:54 that was a cool shot where they attached the camera to the chain and you could see the train come up, very creative
Going this upcoming Sunday...I am totally riding this!
Glad to see this ride didn't die after Great America
My mom is going to go on this ride with me in two days, and she is not excited, she thinks it looks terrifying. Excited!
0:23 what is he standing on? One of the towers of aftershock?
Gamingmasterrosieandlilyyes Stephanieandclydeno yeah
Best coaster I've ever been on.
I think he meant the Deja Vu from Six Flags Magic Mountain is now the Goliath at Six Flags New England. This one (Aftershock) was the Deja Vu from Six Flags Great America. He was correcting his previous comment.

I live 20 minutes away from there, love it! I'm going tomorrow with my bestie! Yay!
When I went on there I screamed the whole time. So scary! But that did not stop my sister going a second time, by herself, in the front. I was too scared to go on again!
But I certainly don't remember a segment on Deja Vu. Huh
I got on this and had to wait about 15 minutes but it was worth it! I can't believe I got on this O.O
I'm debating whether to go on this since I got to SilverWood once every year. Do you think I should give Aftershock a try? Thanks.
My friend said its a pretty fun ride and he even rode it three times. Im definetly going to ride it when i go later this month :)
Go on it. Test your limits. How many times can you go on it?
How intense is the cobra roll, not that that's the part that scares me which it isn't.
Fookie Rookie, I'm sure of there's no line, I can do this coaster at least 5 times in a row. I'm just a little nervous about it.
Fookie Wolfie I meant
Just went on it literally like 5 hours ago, A great ride. :)
Man, now I wish I was tall enough to ride this back in 2007 when the Déjà Vu was still at Six Flags Great America. Ughhhhhhhhh
We NEED this at Cedar Point! Cedar Point would build this higher and faster!
BEST ride at Silverwood by far. Except when you wait over an hour in the line FINALLY get on and then stuck on the first tower & shuts down for the rest of day.
Pissed off that my six flags sold this ride to this park. Wish we still had it
I go to silverwood every summer and it has been 13 years my dad was on the second ride of the aftershock it was awesome such a fun ride and was nick norton in this video I swerve I saw him lol

I've not been on this, but it is like a bigger version of invertigo at kings island, wich is probably my 4th favorite rollercoaster.
Damn, I haven't been on this ride for 2 freaking years! Totally going this summer :P
This ride was at SFMM, but they took it out, because it had a lot of technical issues. They're really gassing this ride up in the video, but it's not all that great.
Renee Lewis exactly! Now it's at Six Flags New England. Renamed Goliath. It's a fun ride and not scary at all. Breaks down all the time :-/
Renee Lewis Actually this one originally operated at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, IL. It was down a lot at that park. Silverwood was aware of the problems before they purchased it and fixed it. Now it runs without any issues.
This one used to operate at Six Flags Great America.
I accually went to silver wood and I went on the after shock it was sooo fun and scary but it was amazing!
i stand corrected, it's Goliath at SF New England >_<
carry on my friend
I used to ride this thing all the time back in the day
Aftershock was my second coaster I have ever rode and I thought it was the best, well it is for the Pacific northwest. But then I moved to ohio and went to cedar point. This place is a lot smaller than Knotts and it wasn't even summer... it was off season so an hour and a half is a long wait at that time.
Do you think a trip up to Idaho is worth it?🤔
i went on this ride at the end of last summer in aug. 2013 im from Alaska and this was my fist time at a theme park and first roller coaster ride too... it not for the faint of heart ... i don't know if i will ever go on one again .... :S
Looks so freaking siiiiiiick !!! I wanna ride !!!
Just went to silver wood and had to ride aftershock! The first time I rode it was amazing!! It's soooo fast I rode it at least 3 times!'the line wasn't very long so that was good :)
If you go there go on the back of the ride me and my 3 buddies loved that ride first couple times is scary then your 3rd time going on is so fun
I went on this a few days ago. Its not as scary as it seems. Sure I was trembling with fear but the only scary part is that first drop. The G's you feel is amazing. After that that your going so fast you dont feel anything else
That's Ride used to be at
Six Flags Great America so silverwood got a used Vecoma giant boomerang
This ride looks like the one @ 6 flags magic mountain in California
ELIZABETH Tonche you mean Deja Vu??
I am soooooo scared to ride this!! But I'm a daredevil so I must do this!!!
Is this supposed to be like Stinger in Dorney Park? Because that's exactly what this is.
My favorite coaster and ride ever 🤤💯
It's exactly similar to the Stunt Fall in the Parque Warner 😍 I did ride it once and I thought I was going to die
Thanks :)
it's not bad, sorry its late :)
It just feels like your being pushed forward a little little on a tall roller coaster when you go down.
Naiomi horan Good to know.
this and spin cycle- THE BEST.
I’m scared to ride this but I’ll probably love it
So, An Hour Wait is Short, I Live where a short line in the summer is 2 1/2 hours at knotts
Deja vu king of all boomerang roller coasters
I never herd the noise when we are drop from the catch car

Where do you work at?
I wen't on this ride TODAY because I went to silverwood with my class and my friend was laughing at me the whole time because I was screaming so hard and loudly I thought I lost my voice! I thought the ride was gonna break and I was gonna fall and die and my friend was just sitting there chilling ya know? and then like 2 other people in the back were yelling out ''OMG I WANT MY MOMMY!'' it was two guys and they looked like they were 23 xD
I went on this ride. It's awesome.
This ride was called the dejavú in six flags great America but they took it down :(
I went to silverwood 2 weeks ago because my family only lives 8 hours away and u went on the cork screw and tremors and many other rides then the next day we went to the water part oh and the magic show if you can't go to Disney land or wor,d I really suggest silverwood
so proud i went on it :) It's very fun, went three times!
I want to get to Idaho someday.
Why do they keep reselling it??
Is this the one that has the premier trains?
This is one of my favs
I was there yesterday this ride is awesome!
Was that a turkey I herd at the end?
It's my favorite ride at Silverwood besides Panic Plunge.
that was dajavue at six flags great america.
OH COOL WOW I DID NOT KNOW THAT NOT LIKE I READ THE DESCRIPTION
0:44 scared the shit out of me, I thought they crashed xD
oh yeah lol
Where's the rest of the ride
The very back seat is my favorite spot to sit at
agreed
I rode this like 7 times today. Awesome XP
I'm going this Tuesday. This is the first ride I'm going on😄
Just a heads up: I'd HIGHLY recommend warming up by riding at least ONE of the other coasters in the park, tremors is a good choice because it's slower than aftershock by only like 5MPH, but corkscrew isn't a bad choice either, corkscrew is basically an inversion warmup for me. Whenever I ride aftershock first, I have my eyes closed the whole time, and it's just too overwhelming, but when I warmup, it's an AMAZING ride
mrawesome9002 thanks, I went to silverwood about a month ago and riding less intense coasters really helped.
Omg its the deja vu we had at six flags magic mountain!! Thats where it went😔
Elizabeth Frampton No, this one came from Six Flags Great America, the one from MM is now at Six Flags New England, and is now known as Goliath
Lmao
I want deja vu!!! I never got to ride it at six flags I miss it more than anything!
I want to go on this ride so bad but there's nothing like that where I live :(
looks like vekoma boomerang isnt it?
LuckyTheGamer Yes.
This ride is so much fun
yeah i got stuck on this thing for about twenty minutes just hanging there back in 2010. lol
I was there! Wasn't on the ride, but I saw it. If that's you in the profile picture, I think I saw you!
PotatoPancakes that is lee harvey oswald, assassin to the late president JFK lol
My friends dad got stuck upside down on that ride.
Hi fellow phandom member XD
My favorite ride their is probably Panic Plunge or Thunder Mountain I think it is I like how on Panic Plunge you can tell when it's gonna fall because it clicks
