  • Let me show you this incredible morse key. This has been my primary CW key for the past three years and is my favorite iambic twin paddle. The design is stunning, with sleek lines and a modern look. Not only is this an awesome-looking key, but it's also precise and accurate and is incredibly designed and engineered by Bamatech in Germany.

      I think he's copying Davie504, except he's SLAPping a CW key instead of a bass.

    I have both the TP-II and TP-III and BaMaKeY make excellent keys. They have nice tactile feedback and are very smooth and precise, and they look fantastic too! Well designed and built.

    Sorry, I watched the video again carefully, and it clearly explains what needs to be done to adjust the key. The first screw is for spacing, the second one is for tension. I will try it. Have a nice day!

      I wish Markus, the creator, allowed test drives. I have the Begali Sculpture Janus and I’m happy with it, but this key looks like it has quite a light touch to it too. I like my key to be quite sensitive. Plus it’s quite stylish and would look great in my shack HI

      I'm new to Begali and so far impressed with my new Begalis, and I know they are high quality. If I were to replace the Bamakey, it would be the Janus. The Janus is much heavier than the Bamakey. I mainly use my key indoors, but the portable option is a nice plus. It's just too nice to take it outside because I fear getting scratches on it. LOL!

    It is my favorite key - amazing ergonomics and craftsmanship. I use it with 2 base plates for little more height and stability.

    I was looking for a high quality paddle for the shack and for portable operation.

  • @bolovanro

    I already have TP-III...and is a beauty...It's my favorite key...it's so smooth in operation...I am beginner in CW..and for me is very important at the begin that the key run very unifrom....also I found that I made less mistakes with the key on sending when I am keeping the key in hand (portable). Most probably I will also try TP-II (TP-III am am using for portable op).

    • @themarconian
      @themarconian  Рік тому +3

      I appreciate the info about the TP-III. I don't have that key, but I think your key has one advantage when going mobile over my TP-II. The TP-III has the option to detach the cable. You might have the perfect portable key! The long non-detachable cable of the TP-II is the only thing that kept it from being an ideal portable. I use mine in the shack most of the time, so the cable issue doesn't really matter. Otherwise, it sounds like both keys are smooth in operation based on other key owners and are aesthetically beautiful. 😊

    I just got mine in the mail after waiting for a week to clear Customs. I am glad I watched your video before attempting to adjust it. Perhaps the instructions are on the website, i did not see that when I ordered it. I generally hold the key in my left hand while sending eith my right hand as coming back from a 20 year CW absence I found that arthritis had me stumbling trying to use my keys on a steel magnetic base. This key us so previse & smooth rhat I will want to give it a well-packed stirage while being transported to my POTA sires! Cheers, Davey - KU9L

I am used to keys that are slightly less sensitive, so I am wondering what I can do to reduce the sensitivity. I assume this is done with screws on the left and right side. Please advise. 73!

    I have a TP-III coming in the mail in a week or so and looking forward to taking it out to the field for some parks on the air. I am hoping it will have a similar feel to my bencher iambic paddle so that I can send cleanly.

    Thanks for video.40 years ago I was a professional telegraph operator on merchant navy ships and at that time used the ETM3C key. I'm looking for a good key. I really like this model. How can I get it and what is its price? Greetings from Belgrade.

      Hello @dusanmirkovic3544. I needed to familiarize myself with the ETM3C key, so I Googled it. Interesting key! It must have been a fun job working that key on ships. What a time to be alive as an operator during the golden age of telegraphy! Bamatech from Germany makes the Bamakey model, and I listed the website in the description, but here it is if you missed it:

    Thank you for the video. So I was looking to purchase a Begali Adventure key, which is similar in design, and now I come across your video and have never heard of Bamakey but it looks like a precision well made key. Do you have any experience with Begali, and if so how would you compare? Thanks

    • @themarconian
      @themarconian  10 місяців тому +2

      I have two Begali keys ( the Spark and the HST), and they are top-notch. However, I can't really compare them to my Bamakey because they are not paddles like the Bamakey. I don't have a Begali paddle, and this Bamakey is my favorite go-to paddle. Check out the Spark and HST in separate videos on my channel if you are also interested in a straight key or a single lever key review. Thanks for your comment!
