Really? I’ve always heard English was hard to learn because we have a lot of words with multiple meanings and a lot of words that sound much different than they appear. I’d imagine maybe a language with its own alphabet might be harder as there’s more to learn. Right?
their italian songs are much more poetic! i'd recommend listening to vent'anni, le parole lontane, coraline (live at sanremo,and the song he wrote about his ex), and la paura del buio (live at radio italia).
I agree, it's a soundtrack song! They did ok writing in English on their own earlier, but now they're cowriting with native speaker songwriters. Damiano said he needs to learn different ways to express himself in English and cowriters help him with that.
I can imagine it could be hard to write lyrics or poetry in a second language. There would be words or sounds you want to use and can’t due to the meter or tempo or rhyme. Never thought about that until now!

In Italy we study English at school but we don't know it well. Of course the new generations speak it much better and in particular Damiano the singer and Vittoria the bassist (she is half Danish, Maneskin means Moonlight) speak it very well.
That’s good to know! In the US we usually have to do 2 years of language and the options are limited. I took Spanish but they taught us Spain style rather than Latin American style which seems odd as we have a whole continent to our south that mostly speaks Latin American Spanish. 🤪 So, if I am ever in Spain, I can ask for the bathroom and use the correct dialect. 😂

hi handsome man, I love your reactions, last week here in Italy there was the Sanremo festival, the oldest music festival in Europe and probably in the whole of the West, for us Italians it is as important as the super ball for the American, almost like the football World Cup, if you are interested I can recommend 4 truly fabulous performances by 4 exceptional Italian singers, on which to give a reaction, 3 are from the cover evening and one is actually a song brought to Sanremo for the competition, the videos are: 1) the singer Annalisa singing Sweet dream with Veronica another Italian singer, 2) the group "Santi Francesi" singing alleluia with Skin by skunk, 3) Angelina Mango (the winner of the Festival) singing the "Rondine" (swallow) a hit song by her father, a fantastic Italian singer who died ten years old during a concert of a heart attack while his 13 year old daughter, Angelina, was present and 4) video the singer Alessandro Mahomood with his song " Tuta Gold" (Gold Suit). you will say...what do I care about 4 unknown Italian singers? but trust me, they are truly 4 performances not to be missed...
