100 episodes is not a joke. Kudos to Yashodeep ji and team!! The whole series has been brilliantly made and has inspired many like me to reach for the original and read it. It gave a whole new perspective to our looking at our ancient histories. The transition between पूर्व वृत्तं and कथा युक्तं beautifully done and explained. The music, the animation, the narration everything was superb! Am so thankful that I stumbled on this series and started seeing it. This should be watched by one and all. No words to thank you! May all of your team and yourself be abundantly blessed by Shree Ram and Sita Ma!! Jai Shri Ram!

Ramayana took 5 years and 100 episodes. If Mahabharata is made at the same rate it would take atleast 25 years and 450-500 episodes.

Thank you to 21notes for bringing such up to the original source history. And also explaining the कथायुक्तम and matter of fact parts difference. Even the details of how महर्षी वाल्मिकी must not have authored the उत्तर रामायण but must have been added in the latter retelling or renditions.
Thanks to all your team for this efforts.. We were all eagerly waiting for this.❤🙏🏻✨ Jai siyaram ram.

No words to express, i just closed my eyes and visualized the yuddhakandh and at the end of Ram's victory i cried and cried out of happiness that our sriramachandra has won the battle. I totally forgot where i was and was able to feel everyone presence. I dont even know how to express my happiness to you, i saw rama sita lakshman and the great hanuman and cried when hanuman was bleeding badly. Oh man you are gods gift to this universe. I thankyou from the bottom of my heart for taking me to tretayugam🙏jaisriram sriramajayam

Im blessed to have watched these all episodes. It gives me immense pleasure to learn so much about my aaradhya Shree Ram. True that maharshi valmiki must not have written the uttarkand. But the original one is more apt and is explained well by all your team. Its a great effort and the interpretation of the narratives of maharshi has been done surprisingly correctly.
We would love to see many more of such our history text been translated by you and your team.

Thank you dear Yashodeep ji for your lovely series and 100 episodes! Your hard work with a scientific and practical mind shows through these glorious episodes.
But dear Sir, I am inclined to admit with Harini Swaminathan ji that uttarakanda did happen and written by Maharshi Valmiki. As she pointed out a Raja’s dharma was such that even the thought of immorality on the king’s part was not accepted in those days. Also only with the addition of Uttarakanda’s slokas the whole Ramayanam consists of 24,000 slokas and otherwise falls short.
We do know that Sri Rama never ever doubted Sita Mata. But as you mentioned in the episode of Agnipravesh, it is some of us people and society who can think nonsense, talk nonsense. They fail to see the bright side and choose to see/make up the dark spot on paper. Was Krishna not accused by Kauravas of being only supportive of Pandavas and Kauravas when in reality he tried his best to uphold dharma!
But thank you for your sincere efforts to read and present.

I want to ask about one more part of Uttar kand,,,,before Mahaprasthan into Saryu River by ShriRam along with all his subjects, there is an entire incident on Lakshman's death which also arises question of how can a king like Shri Ram punish anyone who's innocent? In that incident, clearly Lakshman had to disobey and interrupt the meeting of Ram with Kaal/Yama for saving Ayodhya from Sage Durvasa's rage....what are your thoughts over it? Pls do share....

All the later retellings focussed on 2 things (a) only the 'katha yuktam' portion of Itihasa and (b) this Uttarakhand. All appears to have a focus on making a God out of Ram first and then prove he was faulty like humans. This process would take out the belief of humans, Bharatiyas on their Purushottam and thus reduce the importance of Ram resulting in disbelief on Hinduism and the cultural identity it brings. Outcome, as expected would be to force Hindus to look out for alternatives and then the options in front of u would be logic(atheism), leftism/communism/marxism or the other abrahamic religions. What a foresightful strategy by the Panch Makkars of all times. Alas, they did not realise the fundamentals of Hinduism did not depend on Ram alone, it is deeper Sanatan Dharma, an age old civilization.

I listened to the Ramayan episodes with so much interest but I am surprised at your ending. You say that your idea of Valmiki’s Sri Rama could have NEVER done what was Rama of UttarKhand. Yes - your statement is totally correct. But you realize that Sri Rama of pre Uttarkhand was NEVER the King Sri Rama except for a few general lines towards the end. How can that be Sri Rama?? Also why is Raaja Dharma so messed up in your mind that Pati Dharma gets precedence over Raaja Dharma? I think even Arthashastra says for a King his subjects are HIS MASTER. He merely is doing SERVICE to his subjects. Our dharma Shaastras define so many kinds of marriages to explain inheritance rules. Few of the commonest inheritance rules are around inheritance when the child is born out of wedlock to a wedded woman - for both situations - Born out of wedlock with the knowledge of husband and without. A society is society. It has ALL elements. So a King has to be extremely careful to not to be seen to encourage unsustainable societal behavior. Also Yashodharji pls show a single text that shows that Sri Rama did not leave Sita in Valmiki Ashrama. Every text that retells the story be it in Mahabharata, Bhagavatham or anywhere - this is the line . You simply ignore the blazing fact that despite leaving Sita he never remarries. He is a king of richest land and most handsome - he could have women swooning at his feet - yet he did NOT remarry. That means nothing to you?? Can you not see the real Love story of Sri Rama and Sita shine through her years of bringing up her kids? Do husband and wife in your opinion stick to each other? If that is indeed the case what about Lakshman and Bharat’s wives? Weren’t they wronged by their husband’s decisions? Why are you ignoring that completely?

@@sanatanipandit1166this is NOT Raj dharma. This is simply an inordinate desire to lead the life of householder. First description when Valmiki asks Sage Narada is to know of “one who has controlled all his senses”. Sri Narada says Sri Rama has conquered his senses. So did Mata Seeta. That means their love, devotion to each other is beyond physical proximity . Where did Sri Ram stop loving Seeta? Pls think. He does Aswamedha with an image that he himself carves. Look at that intensity of Love. Same is with Krishna and Gopis. Pls read Narada Bhakti Sutra before trying to interpret Love. Also modern day people are all focusing ONLY on the Pati dharma - forgetting that Raj dharma for the king transcends Pati Dharma . By your definition, every war has chance of King being killed. So King should give up the kingdom to invader and run away to forest to live with his wife? Not fight at all? That is cowardice. True love transcends physical. Same thread carries forward in ALL our itihasas. If this is NOT understood, every interpretation goes wrong

      Like In jungle
A Lion Eats Herbivores and keep their population in control
      Scavangers eat dead animal
      Herbivores eat plants
      Birds Bugs
Together they make sure Ecosystem works great and forset gets prosperous

And There are Many Things We can do
We aren't bound like Animals That if we do this or this Or this particular thing then only there will be Prosperity and Hapiness

Continuing the same - Buddha must be a horrible, horrible man in your mind. Yes, I totally understand that having view like Sri Rama of Ittarkhand is detrimental in a society when rapes happen. Yes. But ordinary people are NEVER expected to follow Sri Rama’s ways - he is a King!! They are not. Rapes were understood - they were indeed accepted. And not one woman was denied acceptance due to this. Even cases where women cheated on their husbands were accepted once they sincerely understood the problem they caused to the society and to their own children - there was no burning at stakes concept in ancient India…As an example, one of the purana says that Kansa was NOT Ugrasena’s son. But his wife was raped by another more powerful guy (I don’t remember the name). And Kamsa was born of that. The purana even questions how else can you see so much cruelty in Kamsa for such a. gentle father. Of course Ugrasena knew this and accepted his wife - it was simply not her fault. And Ram did not doubt Sita even once - however He did what He thought was the correct Raaja Dharma. I think even when Sita laments (after Lakshman leaves her - she controls herself when he is there) she blames her fate alone. She does NOT blame Ram even once. This is poignant life - this is the lot of avatars also. Lord Krishna saw his entire kinsmen die in front of His eyes. He lets out a very anguished scream and then goes away into the forest. The life of avatars make us understand that there are things beyond everyone’s control. And how they react to such suffering.. That amazing lesson was unfortunately missed out in this debate of whether Valmiki wrote this or not. That debate is perfectly valid but yet does Not detract the lessons therein for future humanity!!!

I appreciate your great work 🎉, but Sita's banishment was a logical consequence to given situation, thus it was part of Dharma.
It is very natural for people to gossip and rethink about the morality around disloyal spouse, or married women hanging out or staying with their friend's place for a night or two etc., when this incident happened. It is very likely, that such sleep-overs, dance parties and friends with benefits things existed back then too. Naturally, it would make their husbands very insecure and now if they'd question them, women can just use this excuse of trusting their wives like Ram did and accepting them without a question. Thus hatred towards Ram's decision was natural because whole concept of loyalty and trust was at stake.
Lord Ram realizing that had to bring back loyalty in marriages again, so he took a stern action following her principles.
Given the kind of government they had back then, banishing her as a King was not only possible but also ethical, especially when it is to establish even higher principles and ideals. Let's not forget, Ram himself accepted exile without a question, when King just ordered it.
Lastly, Ram banished her, but didn't force her to stay at Valimik's Aashram, for the rest of her life. She could go anywhere, including her relatives.

Yashodeepji your influence of western culture shows up so much in these last two sessions - Hindu concept of marriage or Love NEVER meant that the loved ones stick together - but they love through distance - in a way that only they both understand. Why are you ignoring the extreme sadness of Rama when Seeta Ma enters Mother Earth? Why do you not see the mental strength of both parties here - so equally matched. Do you not see that the love of Sri Krishna and Radha celebrated through Hindu History. Sri Krishna married and had so many wives - and do this is all rubbish according to you?? No sir. Hindu concept of life is that which sustains through distance, suffers silently, sacrifices for dharma because it KNOWS that this life is anyway temporary and death will separate. Hindu lives long for that unity beyond the physical. For a Hindu, his religion starts when physical ceases to be the most important aspect. Otherwise even Sri Rama saying that he would not accept Seeta after winning the war ? That is also equally bad..
