- Clips of a trip to Loch Carron, Applecross and Torridon - excerpts of a 70 minute dvd/bluray I have put together of this most beautiful area of the West Highlands. There is also a 56 page pdf booklet on the disk with all the commentery and over 100 photos for printing out or for use with a compatible kindle.
Been there, Andy. Pure magic and an experience that will remain with me. Anyone visiting Scotland ( I’m Canadian with Scottish blood) MUST make the effort to drive that road and visit the village.
Went to Scotland 8 years ago,it is calling me back really need to go back.

Visited Applecross well over 15 years old. Brings back wonderful memories. Need to visit again.

Oh I know how you feel, one never does realise the happy times when you areliving in them .My son was the first live birth in Applecross for 21 years!.
There were no white lines or widening the corkscrew bends then and certainly no barriers of any description :)

Fantastic place to visit. The drive on the steep winding road is an adventure on it's own especially on a motorbike. The view at 2:30 is lovely. I can't wait to head up that way again.

My girlfriend and I are travelling up from the south of England, Poole, tomorrow morning to stay in Callakille. A 13hr drive, but it looks worth it.
alijda pepperkamp as someone who was born in Scotland (I was born in Kirkcaldy & raised in the Glenrothes/Thornton area) I agree with you on being blessed to be from here, it's a beautiful country & while there are countries I'd love to visit I don't think I could call anywhere else home. My partner and I are going on a camping trip into parts of the highlands with my cousin and our wee dog Ella towards the end of the Summer and I can't wait. We're planning on starting in Skye and then going to Ullapool and visiting the Torridon and Applecross areas as well as seeing Loch Ness, Smoo Cave and Corrieshalloch Gorge.
