Lovely video. I moved to from Essex to Taynuilt in 2021 to stay with my sister after my marriage broke down in 2020. In May this year I bought a small flat within two minutes' walk of Oban harbour and have not looked back. The view on my way to work every morning is uplifting and I will never tire of the beauty of Argyll & Bute. I have discovered some of the sights featured here and I know my journey has only just begun.

Nice one Andy. Born in Oban and growing up in Lochgilphead and Ardrishaig, this takes me back to fond memories (I moved to Glasgow in my mid 20's). I took a lot for granted back then...a lot, especially the incredible history around Kilmartin.

I'm coming here in the summer holidays. We have driven through the area and promised ourselves to come back to holiday there. It looks amazing. I am English and all my life have had a mysterious attraction and a connection to Scotland. as a child I'd gaze at maps of Scotland and seek out beautiful remote places and admire photos. Recently I found out my grandparents on my mother's side were Scottish. (they were buried in their clan tartan, I assumed at the time they just loved Scotland) So technically I am a quarter Scottish by blood. something I feel highly proud of.

I enjoy going up to Oban for a couple of days just to go on the ferries to Mull and Colonsay which you can do in day, the latter a fine 5 hour return sailing. Out of peak periods the hotels are reasonable price but pricey otherwise.

What cafe? I'm just wondering because I live on seil and we don't have any cafe's to my recollection, the tigh an truish maybe? There was a cafe on Easdale Island which a lot of people think seil is, its called the puffer so maybe but all I can think of are pubs here lmao

65 feet - it's difficult to convert it into meters. All right, my calculator says it's 20 meters.
P.S. I'm travelling around Scotland with you and your videos.

Wow great! In some parts of the UK, t and d sounds can become like ts.

It does it in my accent (Stockport) and also Liverpool's. Round here it's called a Merseyside T. (The River Mersey starts in Stockport and ends in Liverpool.) Some Scottish accents also have it, altho I don't know specifically which.
