One or two dates a day shouldn't be a problem if your diabetes is well controlled.
However, I personally advice against taking dates as most diabetics can't control the craving. Hence, they r best avoided completely. Thanks...

Now i'm 30 weeks of pregnent and on insulin therapy begins with regular insulin 4-4-4 units. And it changed to 4-4-6 units and now with 4-4-8 units. The reson for raising night dose was my FBS level. During 1st OGTT FBS was 110mg/dl, 2nd OGTT with diet control FBS was 110mg/dl, 3days later FBS with diet control 95mg/dl, with 6days later with 4unit insulin 93mg/dl, 3days later with 6unit insulin 91mg/dl and now i'm taking 8 units insulin at night. PPBS is controlled with insulin, 102mg/dl for 3 consecutive PPBS Rresults. My doubt is why the FBS is not lowering with insulin hike..

Metformin ER doesn't usually cause gastro intestinal discomfort unlike plain Metformin. Hence, it's preferred, especially in people with sensitive systems, eg: pregnancy. Please continue as per Dr's advice and you will be fine. Thanks and Happy Diwali.

26 weeksil ഫാസ്റ്റിംഗിൽ 71. after 2hrs 75 g ഗ്ളൂക്കോസ് കുടിച്ചിട്ട് 100. One hr കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ vomit ചെയ്തു. അപ്പോൾ breakfast കഴിക്കാൻ പറഞ്ഞു. അങ്ങനെ നോക്കിയപ്പോഴാണ് 100. Vomit ചെയ്തത് കൊണ്ട് prblm ഉണ്ടോ.. please reply

Hi sir I’m a GDM patient and my blood sugar is a bit erratic.. now on metformin TDS but the post 1 hr meal is always btwn 200-250 and 2 hr is mostly less than 120😞 Really confused with this values..
Given ur GDM status, I would suggest prandial insulin for u to control post meal hyperglycemia. Kindly discuss this with ur Dr immediately and do accordingly. Thanks...
Many thanks for ur reply sir🙏🏻 They suggested me insulin as the first choice but since I’m planning to travel back home Kerala next week I myself requested for tablet to avoid overlapping of different insulins over here and in India..(in the UK at the moment) But these values started making me scary so going for an appointment tomorrow and follow the doctors advice regardless of my travel..

The 3 hour cut off for 100 g (please note, it is grams and NOT milligrams) is 140 mg%.
Meaning, if u get a value of more than 140 mg% at 3 hrs of 100 g OGTT, u r diabetic.

Hi sir ...when I check pregnancy test Come to know positive after 2 days I just checked all blood test including fast blood sugar and its 106 in my 5 week. After I did GTT in 8 week again the fasting sugar 105 again....I'm so stressed because can I get diabetes this much earlier...
I'm from Qatar Dr told me just control diet and check 15 days. It's my second pregnancy...first pregnancy all are normal.No family history of diabetes....I heard from some sources that gestational diabetes after 20 weeks only...then Dr for me it's from 5 week....I'm so stressed please reply me
Please provide details of the OGTT. You have given only the fasting values.
GDM can set in at any stage of pregnancy.
I'm 25 year old and now I'm 9 weeks of gestation. During GTT test my fasting blood glucose 108 and urine glucose nil. After 75 mg oral glucose blood glucose at 1 hour 135 and urine glucose positive 3+ . blood glucose at 2 hour 108 and urine glucose nil. Now I'm also experiencing too much thirst and frequent urination doctor. Initillay I thought its due to my pregnancy. Yesterday I checked fasting sugar in glucometer its 105. What should I do doctor.
Firstly, you should discuss this issue with your obstetrician.
Secondly, you will need the services of a qualified dietician.
Thirdly, you will need to relax and chill out.
Your problems are not very serious. But do take professional help.
