Blackie is one the most underrated songwriters n vocalists in hard rock metal. What i love about wasp is the diversity of albums you hav serious emotional dark albums like this n then albums about sex, the devil, government, child abuse,religion, war, drug abuse etc
No matter what Blackie sings about, you feel genuine emotion. This guy is really underrated. Somewhere in an old apartment in Siberia there is still a rare vinyl record of their first album, the very first printing.
Musically, W.A.S.P. always were (and remain) by far the best of the Sunset Strip 90s bands. No matter the trends, Blackie has never put out a bad album.
Yupp while most la bands were still singing party music etc tht style wasp was one of the few tht went on more serious note talking about religion war politics drug abuse etc. they also do ballads but not like warrant ballads dark n emotional ballads. Blackie is the most underrated song writers n vocalist for sure

You are both absolutely correct, you can enjoy particular songs from any band or genre without actually saying that you would listen to their albums over and over again. This is what happens when your Parents and your friends Parents still listen to their music, you get to hear various artists. I wonder what the WASP video for their song Animal Fu*k like a beast would be like? I don't think you could play it on youtube if they were to put pictures to that lol. Glad you reacted to this since even though I am a WASP fan, I had never heard this song. Plus, it appears the album is not on Spotify so I wouldn’t have heard it otherwise. I do think it’s odd you spent so much time discussing the video considering it’s a fan made video and not official.
Blackie lawless going into meat loaf mode in this song.. ha never got the appeal of this band, it's mainly the vocals.... that said Arena of pleasure is a bad ass song by them and one of the few i really like. yeah Slipknot has got to be one of the most over rated bands here in the states! i have seem them live a few times, and listened to their debut and Iowa alot back when they were released,but they novelty wore off quickly as my taste in metal developed and matured over the years. i actually don't hate on Nu metal like a lot of metal heads, that was a big part of my youth,i always thought mudvayne was a better band than slipknot, and would rather listen to bands like nothingface, coal chamber, deftones, kittie and the such.
You look so much like a two bobbleheads while you are listening these songs 😂 You should have bobblehead figures made to look like you guys and sell them as merch. 🥸
