This is an awesome song! Blackie Lawless grew up in the church. At around 18 years old, he left for 20 years and is now a “Born Again Christian”. From an interview.
“You've gotta remember that I was brought up in the church," he explained. "I had an uncle who was a preacher, and my dad was a Sunday school superintendent. My grandfather was a deacon. So when the doors were open, I was there. So I grew up with all that. But I went away for 20 years and I came back.”
Amen all the songs were written by his record company that weren't Christian
I almost didn't recognize these guys. I'm only aware of their 80's music and this is absolutely a turn towards a positive. For me, rock music puts an extra punch to a righteous message. Blackie's voice has always been so powerful and now its been given a new life.

The band used to not believe in God and if you go back to their 80s music he will see what I'm talking about but the lead singer gave his heart to Jesus Christ that's when he started writing Christian songs❤❤

The Crimson Idol album…it’s not Christian by any means but it’s a look into what someone can be going through. It’s a dark, scary experience but I think it’s good for Christians to listen to because their is always the side most don’t see or how to relate to.
"Godless Run" is another great one that follows BLackie's return to the Faith.
Believe it or not, this is the first time I've heard a 21st century WASP song. I saw them in 1985 when singer Blackie Lawless was also playing bass. Back then they were singing songs like "Animal (F*** Like A Beast)". I knew he became a born-again Christian, but I had no idea he was bringing it into his music. This is awesome! The lead guitarist they have plays great! I've been listening to Brazilian Christian metal and even "new" songs by Stryper, but I'm going to have to check out what WASP has been doing in recent years. 🎸 Michel Oliveira is really good. He sings some songs in English like *7 Alter - So Afraid To Be Free* and others in Portuguese like *Estou Aqui* - a song about hope. *MICHEL OLIVEIRA - WORSHIP ROCK METAL MEDLEY - AO VIVO NA LOJA MEC SOM* is him doing a medley of metallized Brazilian Christian songs.

WASP has been all over the place as a band form back in the crazy 80s up to now.
Never a Christian band per se.
Blackie is a brilliant musician and song writer with a voice that is really unique.
I have been a fan of WASP all the way back to the 80s and reman to this day.
Blackie Lawless a very underrated Songwriter
Blackie Lawless is incredibly educated in the Bible ands is simply the most intelligent, well-read person in all of rock music.
He is also a truly brilliant songwriter.

I've loved this band since1984. Then I became a Christian years later stopped listening to them. When this album came out I was shocked at the theme. He's so emotional in his singing always has been even when he was more secular

Stryper "God". Man that hits hard. Same with No More Hell to Pay and Murder By Pride. Earlier Stryper was more dual meaning love songs and straight up worship anthems. Loved it... but their later stuff is DEEP.

That was completely uncalled for. I sure they googled W.A.S.P after this video and got a more complete picture. Blackie Lawless is one of the most underrated singers/song writers of his generation. This was a very good reaction.

I dont believe at all, but I love this song. If you like theist stuff, check Theocracy - The Mirror of Souls or Theocracy - I am , mirror is better song for me, but I am is great too.
But to believe is in my opinion totally unreasonable, absolutely no evidence for any god (5000 of the today, another 1000s forgotten, with more than 1000 religions registered today, with another 1000s forgotten already) all of them claiming "I am the truth" or something similar in different thousand ways... yet all believers based on faith (definition of faith is what) are same atheist as me... I dont believe in 5000 gods, you dont believe in 4999 of them... we are the same, you just still hang on to one fairy tale.
Its ok to believe, because you want to be good or to keep some tradition etc... but to be fanatical about it and spreading something you cant even closely prove is strange.
On top of that, god would be even worse than any evil we created, yeah, believers dont want to hear this, but if you think about it, its true... if you believe god is omnipotent, then he is responsible for everything, including evil. God must have known future before he created universe, so he must have known that Adam and Eve will sin... before they have, yet he was ok with it. There is no free will, because he has know their fate before he created them, hence... culprit is the created.
I cant make a car, with no breaks and then be surprised first time on the road to have accident, because I was not able to stop the car when I needed.... religion is ok, until you start thinking about it... and you can trust me I spent a lot of time thinking
No evidence? Hmmm... so you think it is more "reasonable" to believe that the incredible complexity of the universe and the order that is all around you happened by blind luck than to believe there was an intelligence that was behind the design? That is irrational and deep down you know it. I'll ask you one more question. When you see a house you know there was a builder, do you not? You may not ever meet that builder but your know there was one. Now look around you at the wonders of this world and the universe and note the precision of it all and how it works and tell me again that there is no evidence for a Creator. You know there is a God... you just don't want to admit to yourself that you are accountable to that God.
God is as real as your computer keyboard. If you want to play mind games with yourself and question the nature of "what is real" fine... but that is just a game to escape the truth. I do not just believe there is a God. I KNOW IT. And if you lived my life and had my experiences you would know it as well. Again... go back to my original question. Which is more "rational". You can't throw a bunch of metal in a bag and shake it and expect to get a fully functional watch no matter how long you shake that bag. You know it's true.
I pray you open your eyes and see instead of letting the blinders remain in place. God is waiting to show you just how real He is. Just ask Him. Religion has nothing to do with God. Men created religion. I am not at all religious. I shun religion. My relationship with God does not require anything but an open heart. You would do well to stop equating God solely with religion. It's a mistake way too many people make.
@@cloudrunner7 of course it is more reasonable to believe everything was "blind luck" . No question about it. What is more probable? That there was nothing or there was nothing with intelligence and omnipotent consciousness? You know, there are millions of reasons going against intelligent creator, but simple one is process. No tree, no water, no planet, nothing... Will ever just pop up (pop out?) sorry, not sure which one is right here :). Everything we ever discovered, here on our planet or out there in universe bas process. And if you going back in that process you will find out, that there is no creator necessary.
Ok, we can argue and most likely we will never know, what caused big bang, was it "god"? Or was it "random"? But believers are very selfish and self centered, they think whole universe was created for us, far cry from the truth. We evolve into the universe, due to conditions and to believe we are only ones is really silly. 400 trillions galaxies, each with 200 billion stars, each with several quadruple billion planets etc etc... probability of "its just us" is very naive.
But most importantly, do we want to believe is a god who screwed everything, who abandoned us, who doesn't care, doesn't response, who is sadistic, selfish, powermonger, who loves to be praised, who kills, who torture, who would be responsible for everything and yet he would love to blame us for his faults... As I said before, you cant have free will if someone knows it before you are born... It is his fault. So the real question is not, do you believe? But do you WANT to believe in such dictator?
Becuase the truth is... No one know, bible is a joke full of torture, slavery, rapes and injustice and the only thing as a proof or bible is... Bible itself? Come on :)
