Thanks Fabio! I had a problem with this version and have replaced it with a fixed version in the album on Bandcamp. This is in mono and not stereo, it also has the right channel audio missing.
This track is a true journey into darkness. The dense and enveloping atmosphere has completely captivated me. The mastery with which you have created this soundscape is impressive. This isn't really a comeback, you know my situation. Now that I'm finally home, I'm taking advantage of my free time to listen to your work and, if I can, to the work of other friends too. It will take me some time to catch up, but I'll get there gradually. Anyway, I'm writing to you privately to update you on the situation.
Thanks Marco! This doesn't sound like it did when I was creating it. I had wired up the recording module in VCV Rack incorrectly and was feeding the left channel to both the left and right channels of the recorder. This resulted in it sounding thin and distant compared to what I was hearing while creating it. I recorded a new version to put on Bandcamp that sounds correct. Of course because it was recorded live it is different. As you know by now from my email, I'm glad you are getting back to normal. Take it easy.
Thanks Frank! It doesn't have the right audio on this video, I had to record it for the Bandcamp version, similar but different as it was a live recording.
Oh, it's undoubtedly another sound here! But it's not bad! Maybe it has more reverb? In bandcamp version it sounds more "dry"... Good versions both! And great video here! Great work! Cheers dear Colin!
@@DOALTRONIC-Aldo_Amodei Thanks Aldo! The difference between the two is that the video version was recorded in mono by mistake. I had connected the left channel to the left and right channels on the record module. When creating it I could hear both channels and the full frequency range. The left channel has a lot less bass and the sound is distant sounding. The version on Bandcamp is what I was hearing when recording the original. The reverb amount is actually the same. There is an effect within the sound module for the drone that is a psychoacoustic effect that pans the sound randomly. This also affects the left channel. Thanks for listening to both.
Beautiful atmosphere Colin 👏 well done my friend
