I’ve been divorced now for 10 years and August 27 would have been my 35th anniversary. My ex-wife left and was in another relationship. I have heard several pastors and leaders say that I couldn’t remarry and somehow it never made sense that I loved my wife and Had nothing to do with the divorce. This has made the best sense to me yet. Thank you very much for explaining it from God’s word.

You could have taken another wife even when you were married.
Remember if a married woman lays with another man she commits adultery the bible does not say that about a man
The woman is bound by the law to her husband, not the other way around

The pastors who told you nit to remarry are correct. "One flesh" doesn't end with a divorce, but only with the death of the covenant spouse (1st marriage for both male and female is the covenant.) Men cannot have multiple wives in the New Testament.

It does look like you are preaching trying to reconcile the way you understand 1 Cor 7:15 with what the rest of the scripture teaches.
1 Cor 7:15 is the one verse in this topic that can be understood different ways, and it seems everything your saying is out from that verse in one way or another. Please there is much teaching in the New Testament that is very clear concerning this topic why not use those scriptures to lay the foundation for what your saying. Like from
Rom 7, I’m just saying, they way your presenting this does not speak to me or it’s not very convincing that it’s the truth.

A woman recently gave her testimony of how she got married when she was very young. Not too far into it, they got divorced. The Lord told her that He never sent that man into her life. The Lord told her to confess the sin and that He would send someone else into her life. He did, and today they have been happily married for decades, and she has a worldwide ministry with God's blessing on her life. Apparently, remarried couples should confess the sin, and then they do NOT live in PERPETUAL adultery. God is very loving. Always seek direction from the Holy Spirit.

You don't repent of something and stay in it. A gay man repents of being in a gay marriage yet continues in the gay marriage that is continually sin just like the Adultery of a remarriage. I don't care how much the man looks like Santa Claus he is leading people astray.

Not every marriage has been put together by God, sometimes God makes it clear to certain couples that that's not the person they are to marry but even after God has made it clear to some people not to get married, they still ignore what God has said and rush to put a ring on it and then because they have gone to church and exchanged rings, they then say, "what God has joined let no man put asunder" then after the marriage breaks down and one wants out and the other claims, God hates divorce.

Understanding what the Bible REALLY says about divorce is almost impossible unless you're familiar with Hebrew terms and concepts absent in Christianity, such as 'Agunah'. Time and again, I've found that Christian pastors often miss the true teachings of the Bible on this topic. I highly recommend Dr. Eitan Bar's short book, "Christian and Divorced: What the Bible REALLY Says About Divorce & Remarriage." He is a Jewish-Christian fluent in Hebrew. After reading about 20 different books on the subject, this one stands out as the best. I was even an early reader of it.

And the bible says, once forgiver this sin is not remembered by God anymore. Which means wiped out as it has never happened. We will never fully understand the Grace!

Yes, but "forgiveness" is not the issue...
Refusing to "accept the penalty" for your sin is THE issue here.
Surely you don't think professing Christians can commit any wicked abominable deed, and simply say I'm going to repent afterwards with no repercussions.
      Bada Bing Bada Boom!
Leviticus 26:40-42 KJV, explains TRUE repentance, which includes accepting the penalty for your sin.
In the case of the wife or girlfriend (betrothed) opening her feet to another, the penalty used to be stoning to death first time.
But after Christ, the penalty is her husband/boyfriend can put her away and find & marry another.. a Faithful Wife. Matthew 19:9 KJV
Do we agree with GODS definition of repentance?

    • @IceRungs
      @IceRungs 22 дні тому

@@DouglasNicholson-ff6epI'm interested in your opinion here, but it's unclear. What do you say is the penalty...for divorce?

    • @DouglasNicholson-ff6ep
      @DouglasNicholson-ff6ep 22 дні тому

@@IceRungs WELL...I'm dead set against opinions, it interpretations.
I've fasted completely & prayed 40 days & nights, twice for rock solid revelation biblically on this matter...both by The Holy Spirit and The Word of God.
Because of this, he baptized me in his holy Spirit in 1999, and gave me a gift...."discerning of spirits".
We MUST understand, when a man or woman TRULY repents, they're renewed to a "right spirit", as King David prayed.
My gift allows me to know what "Spirit" someone is of.
Any form of false, or feigned repentance leaves that spirit person still led by the spirit of the world, which is the devil.
This is what lead me to Leviticus 26:40-42 KJV
Concerning adultery, pretty much everyone will admit what they did if they're caught. Women will usually cry, etc.....
But the acid test, especially with a woman is will she confess that Christ knew what he was talking about in Matthew 19:9 KJV.....
.... Without trying to twist, tweak, modify Matthew 19:9...
The The penalty therefore is that she must openly before absolutely everyone confessed that when she opened her feet to another man, even once, that was the point that the marital Covenant was resolved......PERIOD.
.... AND ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE SHE MUST ADMIT THAT SHE WAS NOT TRULY A CHRISTIAN.
In the case of the wife, if she will not both confess that she resolved her marital Covenant and she was not saved at the time..and what she did was "wickedness".
She has not repented to GODS satisfaction, and herefore, her sin cannot and will not be remitted.
And if there's ANY justification of her adultery...ever...she's actually teaching other women how to commit adultery, and justify it as well.

    Charis … question :
How do you counsel someone who has truly repented (she truly repented years ago right after it happened and her heart was utterly broken over her sin, not only against her husband and family but most importantly against God)
Her affair was almost 20 years ago, and she has lived in constant guilt her whole life since it happened. It stole her confidence before the Lord.
She has a child with her second husband and her husband is born again also. ( He was actually saved years into their marriage but she was already saved when they met each other and sinned) .
99% of what is shared on this topic that I have found online would say she should divorce her current husband in order to show true repentance
and remain single till she dies (her x husband is also remarried, he remarried a week after she did all those years ago )
And MOST teaching on this subject would say that she is living in perpetual adultery by remaining in the marriage, and that maybe .. hopefully ..she MIGHT make it to heaven one day …MAYBE… if she fully repents by divorcing her second husband .. and if she does make it to heaven there will be no reward when/if she gets there.
Not to mention the call on her life is now null and void.
The scriptures seem to be clear that if someone commits adultery, no matter if they repent with all their heart, they may never marry again and if they are married to the person they committed adultery with they are both going to hell unless they get a divorce. And if they divorce
now their child is from a broken home.
Is this just the price they have to pay for their sin 20 years ago?
He just said in this video they are okay to stay married … stay where they are .. but what scripture actually says that ?
How do you counsel someone thoroughly on this subject with a strong scriptural basis?
    Thank you 🙏🏻

      Answer....
My wife, my one and only lover, whom I married, committed adultery, 37 years ago...
I found out 14 years, and a lot of hell later.
Since then I have given a tremendous amount of focus on what consummates and what resolves a marital Covenant and what is TRUE repentance....
.....and was given the gift of discerning of spirits via 40 days & nights of fasting & prayer....and have therefore, studied the KJV Bible very very deeply...
      Here's her answer.
      1) She MUST Confess OPENLY BEFORE ALL, that SHE destroyed her first marital covenant... Without so much as even a hint of blaming her first husband/boyfriend, for her wicked deed...ever. ..and that the deed was "Wickedness"
      2) She must OPENLY BEFORE ALL, declare that according to the real KJV Bible, she was not, and could not have been a REAL Christian at the time.
Leviticus 26:40-42 KJV, is the full definition of repentance in God's eyes.
She must understand there are many false teachers and false Christians out there that will attack her if she does these two things.
That's because they themselves have done them, even as professing Christians, and they refuse to accept the penalty for their sin...
...or to acknowledge they were not a true Christian at the time.
Those are the people that go to hell!
Not for that wicked deed (sin)....but for refusing to repent "according to God's definition" which includes accepting the penalty for their sin which is being put away....
And her spouse can marry another....
and accepting the fact that she was not saved at the time, no matter what Pastors say, because Christ would have kept them from falling.

So basically, just tell everyone that you weren’t saved until AFTER your divorce! Or, find out how many years need to have passed in your particular denomination or church . Problem solved.🥴
Pastoral leadership is reserved for those who have the integrity, loyalty, and inner strength and countenance (temperament) to lead a marriage and family. If you can’t lead that you certainly can’t lead a church or ministry. You definitely CAN be used of God, but not as a pastor. You can still witness, worship, teach, help….but NOT lead.

If what your saying is the actual case ,then why did Jesus also say to the one who divorces they also cause their once spouse to commit adultry?
If they are divorced and it's no longer considered adultry as you have said then why did Jesus make it plain and clear that by divorcing your spouse you cause them to commit the act of adultry..
Marriage is also a Covenant before God ..
I gotta say I disagree on some of your points as they don't make since how your interpretation of them are going ... If Jesus said it causes the other spouse to commit adultry by divorcing her then how is it adultry?

I have only in recent months been bombarded on my computer screen with posts from the Marriage Permanency folks that challenge the validity of the exceptions clearly given by Jesus Christ in Matthew 19:9 and Matthew 5:32. If you had a next door neighbor that fathered all ten of your children while you were working, and you had DNA tests to prove it, these people would say that you have to stay with your wife, raise and pay the bill for the other guy's kids, suffer the shame, and endure the gossip for good reason, the dirty looks of everyone at church, and the uncleanness of it all, all just because these people are nuts. Simply believe that Matthew 19:9 and Matthew 5:32 mean what they say, and say what they mean, and God did not add anything else to His Holy Bible more than what you can clearly see and read for yourself, with your own two eyes, and understand with your own mind. These verses harmonize perfectly well with the other verses in the Bible, about marriage and divorce.

Yeah this new teaching forbidding remarriage is literally satanic.....
....and it's fostered by Spiritual wickedness in high, who want their wickedness and a very tolerant Jesus too.
They've even created revised Bibles to go along with their new improved upgraded "anything goes".. "Jesus".
They refuse to accept the penalty for their sin, so they shift the blame to their spouse if he puts her away and marries a REAL Christian.. .a FAITH-ful FAITH-filled Woman.
Due to Pulpit pimps turning the grace of God in lasciviousness, they truly believe they are children of God, and yet they're dead in their sins.

      @brucesmith8680 10 місяців тому

Through Jesus we receive salvation in marriage. In marriage we change families, leave Adam's bloodline and become adopted through marriage in Jesus's (Family of Elohim). That's why in 1 Cor 7:39 if a widow (stays in family) wants to re marry she MUST marry a believer it's the same family (Elohim). If you leave the family you loose salvation. Until death do you part. Married to Jesus You have Eternal Life, No death , No separation = SALVATION
Unbelievers are still in their sins so it's a mute point. But if one turn to Christ then they left Adam and joined Jesus's family so now 1 Cor 7:12 applies, If they are willing to stay with you you must not divorce (separate) from them. I hope that helps.

God's standard for marriage goes all the way back to Genesis Ch. 2. If you find yourself in a 2nd marriage, don't try to unscramble the egg. You can't. Ask forgiveness for anything you did that made the first marriage fall apart. Go on with life. Make your new marriage to be God-honoring, until death do you part.

False teaching. You are not under bondage to give your body to them in sexual relations like 1 Corinthians 7:1-3 says, BUT you are still bound to them in the covenant of marriage until death do you part like Romans 7:1-3 and 1 Corinthians 7:39 says. Remarriage is always ongoing adultery as long as the first covenant spouse is still alive.

What if the spouse had committed adultery like Jesus mentioned?
What if the marriage has occurred before the two individuals were saved?

    • @WalkingbytheSpiritAlways
      @WalkingbytheSpiritAlways 22 дні тому

@IceRungs The exception clause is not for a spouse committing adultery. It's only for a JEWISH BETROTHAL which was legally a marriage of two virgins (they hadn't fornicated), and only if the betrothed wife fornicated during the betrothal, Jesus permitted divorce. She probably would have then been stoned. If you are a Gentile and in a first marriage for both people, it is one flesh and there is no allowance to divorce AND remarry. God still hates divorce, but if your spouse divorces you, you must remain committed to your vows and abstain from adultery and lust as long as they are alive. They may come to repentance. I have lived this way since 2006. About to have my 42nd wedding anniversary. Jesus is my "husband."

Ok so this is 47 minutes of error in understanding.
If a woman is divorced and she marries another she commits adultery.
1COR.7:25-40 is to the Virgins so when we read 1Cor.7:27-28 these people are not married but because they are espoused, betroth, which what we call engaged they are referred to as husband and wife
    Watch this
Deuteronomy 22:23 KJV If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband....
Men can have multiple wives but a wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives
1 Corinthians 7:39 KJV The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth....

A Biblically divorced person does not have a spouse. She wouldn't be a wife in that case.
1 Cor 7:15. Abandonment by an unbelieving spouse where the believer is no longer under bondage to that relationship.
Matthew 19:9. Jesus was talking about a spouse, not betrothed, because that was what the Pharisees asked about.

True a biblically divorced woman is unmarried but a wife divorced for a reason other than fornication committed before she married her husband is still married to that husband.
There is only one reason to divorce given by Moses explained by Jesus and dealt with when Paul spoke to the Married in 1COR.7:10-24

1 Corinthians 7:15 KJV But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
This is dealing with divorce for fornication but one believes in the lord and 1COR.7:10-11 and the other believes in the law Deut.24:1 and just wants to leave.
The Lord says don't divorce to the believer so
Paul does👉 not say you are no longer in bondage
Paul says a Brother or Sister is not under bondage in such cases.
There are three things going on here

So some read this next verse and not realizing these are clean meats, they go eat pork
