Since there are differences on both sides of the fence, it would be good for teachers on this subject to forget their personal opinions and stick only to the Biblical text
I’ve been divorced now for 10 years and August 27 would have been my 35th anniversary. My ex-wife left and was in another relationship. I have heard several pastors and leaders say that I couldn’t remarry and somehow it never made sense that I loved my wife and Had nothing to do with the divorce. This has made the best sense to me yet. Thank you very much for explaining it from God’s word.
You could have taken another wife even when you were married. Remember if a married woman lays with another man she commits adultery the bible does not say that about a man The woman is bound by the law to her husband, not the other way around
The pastors who told you not to remarry are correct. "One flesh" doesn't end with a divorce, but only with the death of the covenant spouse (1st marriage for both male and female is the covenant.) Men cannot have multiple wives in the New Testament.
@@philipbuckley759 LOL doesn't matter we missed the mark all the time and everything that we do if we're not healing The sick raising the dead and casting out demons we are missing the mark. Jesus paid a price for All sin. All sin is forgiven including adultery and remarriage. Jesus before he was resurrected was speaking to the religious elite in the context of the law. Jesus has been resurrected in all the law is fulfilled. like it or not all sin is forgiven. There will be lesbians and homosexuals who make it in heaven before the religious. That's coming from Jesus himself. .... This is hard for the religious to understand It's also why the religious doesn't see a lot of healing
Understanding what the Bible REALLY says about divorce is almost impossible unless you're familiar with Hebrew terms and concepts absent in Christianity, such as 'Agunah'. Time and again, I've found that Christian pastors often miss the true teachings of the Bible on this topic. I highly recommend Dr. Eitan Bar's short book, "Christian and Divorced: What the Bible REALLY Says About Divorce & Remarriage." He is a Jewish-Christian fluent in Hebrew. After reading about 20 different books on the subject, this one stands out as the best. I was even an early reader of it.
love the truth or fact that God hates divorce and adultery but he loves the divorced and the adulterer....God's love is so amazing and beyond human understanding it's awsome
If God hates divorce why is He the one to ordain that Israelite men could not mistreat their wives, but instead must give them a certificate of divorce? If God hates divorce, why did He divorce Israel?
@@TheEllaTBHe didn’t. Moses did. (Read Matthew 10:11) Moses allowed divorced but prescribed a certificate in order to avoid women to be even further abused. It was a law that was trying to make damage controle . But Jesus said: “he did it only because of the hardness of your hearts… BUT FROM THE BEGINNING IT WAS NOT SO. What god has joined together let no men separate”
Happy to have a strong marriage with mutual trust and respect despite all the difficulties given by the unjust relatives through others and no one can do anything to me directly as it is all a lie.
Not every marriage has been put together by God, sometimes God makes it clear to certain couples that that's not the person they are to marry but even after God has made it clear to some people not to get married, they still ignore what God has said and rush to put a ring on it and then because they have gone to church and exchanged rings, they then say, "what God has joined let no man put asunder" then after the marriage breaks down and one wants out and the other claims, God hates divorce.
Once you get married you become right for each other. People in many countries get married to people they have no feelings for whatsoever. Arranged marriages, etc.
@@stevesmith1493 arranged marriage or not God has to have intended it to be, in other words God has to have put together. A lot of people because of lust put marriages together which God never had a hand in.
@@stevesmith1493 how is the person making excuses?? Do you not understand godly instruction? Let's not talk about arranged marriages in other countries. Let's just talk about American marriages. It's a nightmare how we approach marriage in this country. We don't seek God for our spouse, we sleep with the person for a long time before we even marry. Then when we finally marry and when it's a big mess everybody is hollering "God hates divorce!"
Same here. I found that Pulpit people of every denomination have come under the witchcrafts, of the adulteress. That being the truth, not only can an adulteress ruin your family life, they can ruin your church life.... .... Unless you have the strength and the biblical wisdom and knowledge to stand up to the "puffed up" ignorant pastors.
@philipbuckley759 not true. You need to study the topic thoroughly before making any declarations about it.your comments indicate great ignorance of scripture
No one can "ruin" your life unless you allow it. My ex-husband was bend on ruining me, but I realized I have power over my own life. Sure,my life looks different than I expected it to look, I've had a lot of adjusting to do, but in the end I'm happier than I've ever been
Only in 2 cases remarriage isn't adultery. 1) Death of the spouse or 2) Abandonment by the spouse. If there is any ounce for reconciliation, breaking the sacrement is a sin.
It does look like you are preaching trying to reconcile the way you understand 1 Cor 7:15 with what the rest of the scripture teaches. 1 Cor 7:15 is the one verse in this topic that can be understood different ways, and it seems everything your saying is out from that verse in one way or another. Please there is much teaching in the New Testament that is very clear concerning this topic why not use those scriptures to lay the foundation for what your saying. Like from Rom 7, I’m just saying, they way your presenting this does not speak to me or it’s not very convincing that it’s the truth.
"I wish that all men were as I am. But one has this gift and another that gift." I can only say that as for me, I am unmarried and plan to remain permanently so.
@@philipbuckley759 No difference. Both Greek words have to do with being bound together only with the Duloss being a more severe case, which it would be if you had an unbeliever leave you. If you aren't under bondage, you are not under bondage. You're free.
@@LoverOfTheLamb Not when you read it in context. Deo-bound. Duloss-servant. Second marriages were pemitted. Jesus (nor Paul in this case) didn't come out with something new to people by saying "no more divorce." He was saying that God didn't want this in the first place but that it was allowed due to people's hard hearts. Jesus pointed out that the "any cause" divorce wasn't a valid reason. Paul said that if an unbeliever leaves, the believer is not under bondage as he/she was never a slave. They aren't in anyway tied to that person in any case. So in your opinion, a believer who is left is still bound but not under bondage? The unbeliever leaves, finds someone else, gets married, has a family, and the unbeliever is expected to wait for them to return? (going against Deut.24). That's bondage.
A woman recently gave her testimony of how she got married when she was very young. Not too far into it, they got divorced. The Lord told her that He never sent that man into her life. The Lord told her to confess the sin and that He would send someone else into her life. He did, and today they have been happily married for decades, and she has a worldwide ministry with God's blessing on her life. Apparently, remarried couples should confess the sin, and then they do NOT live in PERPETUAL adultery. God is very loving. Always seek direction from the Holy Spirit.
You don't repent of something and stay in it. A gay man repents of being in a gay marriage yet continues in the gay marriage that is continually sin just like the Adultery of a remarriage. I don't care how much the man looks like Santa Claus he is leading people astray.
Deuteronomy 24:1-2 KJV When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. [2] And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife. This verse is still in effect God never punishes the innocent.
Shortly, whatever the interpretation of those passages should be I have one also Scriptural response: God forgive the worst murderers and even would used them later to serve others in His Kingdom ( Apostle Pual the one of examples) so how much more He'll will forgive the adulterers if they only truly repent and regret?! And the bible says, once forgiver this sin is not remembered by God anymore. Which means wiped out as it has never happened. We will never fully understand the Grace!
Yes, but "forgiveness" is not the issue... Refusing to "accept the penalty" for your sin is THE issue here. Surely you don't think professing Christians can commit any wicked abominable deed, and simply say I'm going to repent afterwards with no repercussions. Bada Bing Bada Boom! Leviticus 26:40-42 KJV, explains TRUE repentance, which includes accepting the penalty for your sin. In the case of the wife or girlfriend (betrothed) opening her feet to another, the penalty used to be stoning to death first time. But after Christ, the penalty is her husband/boyfriend can put her away and find & marry another.. a Faithful Wife. Matthew 19:9 KJV Do we agree with GODS definition of repentance?
@@IceRungs WELL...I'm dead set against opinions, it interpretations. I've fasted completely & prayed 40 days & nights, twice for rock solid revelation biblically on this matter...both by The Holy Spirit and The Word of God. Because of this, he baptized me in his holy Spirit in 1999, and gave me a gift...."discerning of spirits". We MUST understand, when a man or woman TRULY repents, they're renewed to a "right spirit", as King David prayed. My gift allows me to know what "Spirit" someone is of. Any form of false, or feigned repentance leaves that spirit person still led by the spirit of the world, which is the devil. This is what lead me to Leviticus 26:40-42 KJV Concerning adultery, pretty much everyone will admit what they did if they're caught. Women will usually cry, etc..... But the acid test, especially with a woman is will she confess that Christ knew what he was talking about in Matthew 19:9 KJV..... .... Without trying to twist, tweak, modify Matthew 19:9... The The penalty therefore is that she must openly before absolutely everyone confessed that when she opened her feet to another man, even once, that was the point that the marital Covenant was resolved......PERIOD. .... AND ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE SHE MUST ADMIT THAT SHE WAS NOT TRULY A CHRISTIAN. In the case of the wife, if she will not both confess that she resolved her marital Covenant and she was not saved at the time..and what she did was "wickedness". She has not repented to GODS satisfaction, and herefore, her sin cannot and will not be remitted. And if there's ANY justification of her adultery...ever...she's actually teaching other women how to commit adultery, and justify it as well.
The Real Bible says.... "Know this first that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation" Scripture is not to be interpreted or explained.... it is to be believed.

Its so hard being a widow of my 2nd husband & committed follower of Christ since I'm also divorced from 1st spouse because of multiple types of abuse and his refusal to seek counsel or allow me to seek counsel. I tolerated a lot & when the children cried not wanting to go home because "daddys going to be mean again" its hard to bear. Many are so condemning. First husband now divorced 3 times & also had a live in girlfriend for a while. Yet they say I can't consider remarriage, only reconciliation with 1st (abusive) spouse. I don't want to stay single but feel I probably will.
You don't have to remain single. The first mention of divorce in the Bible makes it clear the purpose was to free the other to remarry. The problem with the English translations is that it translates Abandonment and Legal divorce with the word "divorce". If you read each passage closely, you can tell what word is being referenced. Look up The Life-Saving Divorce by Gretchen Baskerville. She does a thorough analysis on the topic and how this works with the 4 A's (Adultery, Abuse, Addiction and Abandonment)
why is it that there are Testimonies of people who Remarried and God has told them to give it up EVEN after many years ? when they have a prior Living Covenant spouse ?Are you saying they are spiritually Deluded ?
Maybe because of something peculiar to those people's divorce? Or would you say you never heard of other people who divorced for whatever reasons, remarried, and God blessed and used them to touch lives?
Charis … question : How do you counsel someone who has truly repented (she truly repented years ago right after it happened and her heart was utterly broken over her sin, not only against her husband and family but most importantly against God) Her affair was almost 20 years ago, and she has lived in constant guilt her whole life since it happened. It stole her confidence before the Lord. She has a child with her second husband and her husband is born again also. ( He was actually saved years into their marriage but she was already saved when they met each other and sinned) . 99% of what is shared on this topic that I have found online would say she should divorce her current husband in order to show true repentance and remain single till she dies (her x husband is also remarried, he remarried a week after she did all those years ago ) And MOST teaching on this subject would say that she is living in perpetual adultery by remaining in the marriage, and that maybe .. hopefully ..she MIGHT make it to heaven one day …MAYBE… if she fully repents by divorcing her second husband .. and if she does make it to heaven there will be no reward when/if she gets there. Not to mention the call on her life is now null and void. The scriptures seem to be clear that if someone commits adultery, no matter if they repent with all their heart, they may never marry again and if they are married to the person they committed adultery with they are both going to hell unless they get a divorce. And if they divorce now their child is from a broken home. Is this just the price they have to pay for their sin 20 years ago? He just said in this video they are okay to stay married … stay where they are .. but what scripture actually says that ? How do you counsel someone thoroughly on this subject with a strong scriptural basis? Thank you 🙏🏻
Answer.... My wife, my one and only lover, whom I married, committed adultery, 37 years ago... I found out 14 years, and a lot of hell later. Since then I have given a tremendous amount of focus on what consummates and what resolves a marital Covenant and what is TRUE repentance.... .....and was given the gift of discerning of spirits via 40 days & nights of fasting & prayer....and have therefore, studied the KJV Bible very very deeply... Here's her answer. 1) She MUST Confess OPENLY BEFORE ALL, that SHE destroyed her first marital covenant... Without so much as even a hint of blaming her first husband/boyfriend, for her wicked deed...ever. ..and that the deed was "Wickedness" 2) She must OPENLY BEFORE ALL, declare that according to the real KJV Bible, she was not, and could not have been a REAL Christian at the time. Leviticus 26:40-42 KJV, is the full definition of repentance in God's eyes. She must understand there are many false teachers and false Christians out there that will attack her if she does these two things. That's because they themselves have done them, even as professing Christians, and they refuse to accept the penalty for their sin... ...or to acknowledge they were not a true Christian at the time. Those are the people that go to hell! Not for that wicked deed (sin)....but for refusing to repent "according to God's definition" which includes accepting the penalty for their sin which is being put away.... And her spouse can marry another.... and accepting the fact that she was not saved at the time, no matter what Pastors say, because Christ would have kept them from falling.
If what your saying is the actual case ,then why did Jesus also say to the one who divorces they also cause their once spouse to commit adultry? If they are divorced and it's no longer considered adultry as you have said then why did Jesus make it plain and clear that by divorcing your spouse you cause them to commit the act of adultry.. Marriage is also a Covenant before God .. I gotta say I disagree on some of your points as they don't make since how your interpretation of them are going ... If Jesus said it causes the other spouse to commit adultry by divorcing her then how is it adultry? Explain....

so if God doesnt join together all marriages, then who is to say God ordains ALL marriages between adults? what if someone doesnt really mean the the wedding vows? what if God wanted you to marry someone else, will God still ordain that? its not a sham marriage?
Deuteronomy 24:1-2 KJV When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. If you take this out of the Bible you must stand before God one day and give account of it. Befor you impose your doctrine on someone else read your bible and realize God will judge you as you have judged others.
I am divorced and was ready to take the life sentence given to me, and studied every verse inside and out and proclaimed myself an adulterer because I remarried. However, never before did I hear the insight that you gave today. Thank you so much! I am still wondering about the scripture right at the end that you did not explain. That is the only thing I am stumped on. 1 Cor 7:39 "A woman is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to marry anyone she wishes, but he must belong to the Lord". I understand that anyone we marry must belong to the Lord, but please explain why he says that a woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive, and she is only free to marry after her husband dies. I don't understand how this is compatible with what you have said?
I have only in recent months been bombarded on my computer screen with posts from the Marriage Permanency folks that challenge the validity of the exceptions clearly given by Jesus Christ in Matthew 19:9 and Matthew 5:32. If you had a next door neighbor that fathered all ten of your children while you were working, and you had DNA tests to prove it, these people would say that you have to stay with your wife, raise and pay the bill for the other guy's kids, suffer the shame, and endure the gossip for good reason, the dirty looks of everyone at church, and the uncleanness of it all, all just because these people are nuts. Simply believe that Matthew 19:9 and Matthew 5:32 mean what they say, and say what they mean, and God did not add anything else to His Holy Bible more than what you can clearly see and read for yourself, with your own two eyes, and understand with your own mind. These verses harmonize perfectly well with the other verses in the Bible, about marriage and divorce.
Yeah this new teaching forbidding remarriage is literally satanic..... ....and it's fostered by Spiritual wickedness in high, who want their wickedness and a very tolerant Jesus too. They've even created revised Bibles to go along with their new improved upgraded "anything goes".. "Jesus". They refuse to accept the penalty for their sin, so they shift the blame to their spouse if he puts her away and marries a REAL Christian.. .a FAITH-ful FAITH-filled Woman. Due to Pulpit pimps turning the grace of God in lasciviousness, they truly believe they are children of God, and yet they're dead in their sins. They mistakenly see themselves as Christians, so they don't understand why Christ would permit the faithful spouse to put them away and get a real Christian.
Let me get this straight. Some of YOU "adult*rers & adult*resses, who claim to be Christians, are instructing us faithful husbands, & wives.... ...that YOU can commit "adultery" with our spouses, unlimited.... because it's not "fornication".. .....and we faithful spouses can't divorce YOU Adult*rers & Adult*resses, and remarry, because YOU are committing "adultery", not "fornication". The thing is, my Lord told me not to keep company with you or even eat with you....1 Cor. 5 KJV and that you're wicked, unsaved, and very leavenous, whether you're a fornicator or an adultery. So why am I supposed to take The spiritual counsel of those I'm told not to keep company with or even eat with? How wise is that? ..even via the internet. Here's the answer.. Repent of your false Christianity, with a godly sorrow, unto TRUE salvation... . Accept the penalty for your sin..Leviticus 26:40-42 KJV ...THEN...we can discuss via "it is written", ONLY.... .divorce & remarriage.
So basically, just tell everyone that you weren’t saved until AFTER your divorce! Or, find out how many years need to have passed in your particular denomination or church . Problem solved.🥴 Pastoral leadership is reserved for those who have the integrity, loyalty, and inner strength and countenance (temperament) to lead a marriage and family. If you can’t lead that you certainly can’t lead a church or ministry. You definitely CAN be used of God, but not as a pastor. You can still witness, worship, teach, help….but NOT lead.
Well many people are not in the Lord when they marry..When you become Born Again 🩸✝️ then your eyes are open and Holy Spirit 🕊️ convicts us🙏Unfortunately Many ministers are adulterous..
Christians seem to only focus on Mal 2:16 when referring to what God "hates". God hates sin, period!..God loves his children John 3:16-17. Prov 6:16-19 say's Six things God hates, seven are an abomination: 1. Proud look 2. Lying tongue 3. Shedding of innocent blood 4. Devising wicked plans 5. Feet swiftly running to evil 6. False witness who speaks lies 7. One who sows discord among bretheren. Yes God hates divorce but pride, lying, strife and some worldly pleasures are also at the top of His "hate" list.
@@LoverOfTheLambso are we also to just throw away Abraham, David, Moses, Esther, Isaiah etc .because it's Old Covenant? Jesus said divorce is allowed if there is marital unfaithfulness.
Uhm, all 5 of them died? Do you understand how ridiculous that sounds? I think it is very clear from that scripture that Jesus recognized the 5 marriages and if he wanted to emphasize that he only recognized those 5 previous marriages because of the death of the husband, he'd have found a way to chip that in. Jesus was that wise. Also, the way he didn't condemn that women and Mary Magdalene clearly differs from what most of you here are doing.
some marriages have recovered even after abuse adultery and divorce. God has convicted some people to leave remarriages even after years and children if the first time covenant spouse is still alive
God's standard for marriage goes all the way back to Genesis Ch. 2. If you find yourself in a 2nd marriage, don't try to unscramble the egg. You can't. Ask forgiveness for anything you did that made the first marriage fall apart. Go on with life. Make your new marriage to be God-honoring, until death do you part.
I am sorry for this explanation. In 1 Corinthians 7 its about if one is not married then he can marry. I think this is wrong teaching. The interpretation doesn't make sense.
This is error!! The counselor was right God only accepts the 1st marriage remarriage is for people who are widowed only... God will hold every bible teacher accountable for the souls of many
@@IceRungs I'm saying that divorce doesn't dissolve a marriage covenant only death of a spouse the Lord himself clearly said that... and no God doesn't want divorce but he knows that people will be because sin and hardness of the heart
Through Jesus we receive salvation in marriage. In marriage we change families, leave Adam's bloodline and become adopted through marriage in Jesus's (Family of Elohim). That's why in 1 Cor 7:39 if a widow (stays in family) wants to re marry she MUST marry a believer it's the same family (Elohim). If you leave the family you loose salvation. Until death do you part. Married to Jesus You have Eternal Life, No death , No separation = SALVATION Unbelievers are still in their sins so it's a mute point. But if one turn to Christ then they left Adam and joined Jesus's family so now 1 Cor 7:12 applies, If they are willing to stay with you you must not divorce (separate) from them. I hope that helps.

Divorce breaks man's traditions, God never told anyone to get a blood test and sign documents for legal purposes! Learn to leave men and their theories alone!
Jesus was very clear on this. Will you take man’s word over God’s? Read God’s Word, your soul is on the line. The reason to stay unmarried allows the wayward one to repent and come back to his/her covenant union. If he/she dies, then you are free of that covenant union and may remarry. No adulterer will enter the kingdom of heaven.
Actually...yes! Remember, many Jews who got saved had more than one wife "when" they got saved and could not be in a leadership position in the church...... Becaus 26:32 e God's original plan is one man and one wife....One man & one Wife. How wise would it be to have an elder with more than one wife teaching how it was from the beginning.
False teaching. You are not under bondage to give your body to them in sexual relations like 1 Corinthians 7:1-3 says, BUT you are still bound to them in the covenant of marriage until death do you part like Romans 7:1-3 and 1 Corinthians 7:39 says. Remarriage is always ongoing adultery as long as the first covenant spouse is still alive.
@IceRungs The exception clause is not for a spouse committing adultery. It's only for a JEWISH BETROTHAL which was legally a marriage of two virgins (they hadn't fornicated), and only if the betrothed wife fornicated during the betrothal, Jesus permitted divorce. She probably would have then been stoned. If you are a Gentile and in a first marriage for both people, it is one flesh and there is no allowance to divorce AND remarry. God still hates divorce, but if your spouse divorces you, you must remain committed to your vows and abstain from adultery and lust as long as they are alive. They may come to repentance. I have lived this way since 2006. About to have my 42nd wedding anniversary. Jesus is my "husband."

Romans 7:1-3 proves that divorce does not end the marriage. No sin ends the marriage. Only death ends a marriage. All remarriage while the former spouse lives is adultery. No preachers talks about this verse and its magnitude. Preachers that do remarriage are all under judgement for the damage to marriage.
Ok so this is 47 minutes of error in understanding. If a woman is divorced and she marries another she commits adultery. 1COR.7:25-40 is to the Virgins so when we read 1Cor.7:27-28 these people are not married but because they are espoused, betroth, which what we call engaged they are referred to as husband and wife Watch this Deuteronomy 22:23 KJV If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband.... Men can have multiple wives but a wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives 1 Corinthians 7:39 KJV The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth....
A Biblically divorced person does not have a spouse. She wouldn't be a wife in that case. 1 Cor 7:15. Abandonment by an unbelieving spouse where the believer is no longer under bondage to that relationship. Matthew 19:9. Jesus was talking about a spouse, not betrothed, because that was what the Pharisees asked about.

The Lord says don't divorce to the believer so Paul does👉 not say you are no longer in bondage Paul says a Brother or Sister is not under bondage in such cases. There are three things going on here 1. Fornication the reason to divorce 2. The Lord commands instead of divorcing stay together 3. One believes in the lord the other only believes in the law of divorce

This understanding is what made people say Bridal instead of Bible when i was there. I still do not have an understanding to stand firmly upon. Heard the opposite view some months ago.
The bible starts with Marriage in Gen 1:27, man and his wife. Middle Eph 5:32 Profound mystery Christ and his church (Bride of Christ). Ends with Rev 21:9 the Wife of the Lamb. Start to finish. Ask Jesus about 1Cor 11:3 Father, Jesus, every Man (husband), woman (wife).

You could have taken another wife even when you were married.
Remember if a married woman lays with another man she commits adultery the bible does not say that about a man

The pastors who told you not to remarry are correct. "One flesh" doesn't end with a divorce, but only with the death of the covenant spouse (1st marriage for both male and female is the covenant.) Men cannot have multiple wives in the New Testament.

This verse is still in effect God never punishes the innocent.
@michaelmartin9335 that is Old Testament, those laws no longer in affect since Jesus died on the cross giving us more grace

Matthew 19:9 KJV
Do we agree with GODS definition of repentance?

I've fasted completely & prayed 40 days & nights, twice for rock solid revelation biblically on this matter...both by The Holy Spirit and The Word of God.
Because of this, he baptized me in his holy Spirit in 1999, and gave me a gift...."discerning of spirits".
We MUST understand, when a man or woman TRULY repents, they're renewed to a "right spirit", as King David prayed.
My gift allows me to know what "Spirit" someone is of.
Any form of false, or feigned repentance leaves that spirit person still led by the spirit of the world, which is the devil.
This is what lead me to Leviticus 26:40-42 KJV
Concerning adultery, pretty much everyone will admit what they did if they're caught.
But not to remain in that sin.
Divorce goes away far when they start flirting with another person then goes to the lawyer to be divorced because now they're broken inside out.

Charis … question :
How do you counsel someone who has truly repented (she truly repented years ago right after it happened and her heart was utterly broken over her sin, not only against her husband and family but most importantly against God)
Her affair was almost 20 years ago, and she has lived in constant guilt her whole life since it happened. It stole her confidence before the Lord.
She has a child with her second husband and her husband is born again also. ( He was actually saved years into their marriage but she was already saved when they met each other and sinned) .
99% of what is shared on this topic that I have found online would say she should divorce her current husband in order to show true repentance
and remain single till she dies (her x husband is also remarried, he remarried a week after she did all those years ago )
And MOST teaching on this subject would say that she is living in perpetual adultery by remaining in the marriage, and that maybe .. hopefully ..she MIGHT make it to heaven one day …MAYBE… if she fully repents by divorcing her second husband .. and if she does make it to heaven there will be no reward when/if she gets there.
Not to mention the call on her life is now null and void.
The scriptures seem to be clear that if someone commits adultery, no matter if they repent with all their heart, they may never marry again and if they are married to the person they committed adultery with they are both going to hell unless they get a divorce. And if they divorce
now their child is from a broken home.

Without so much as even a hint of blaming her first husband/boyfriend, for her wicked deed...ever. ..and that the deed was "Wickedness"
2) She must OPENLY BEFORE ALL, declare that according to the real KJV Bible, she was not, and could not have been a REAL Christian at the time.

If they are divorced and it's no longer considered adultry as you have said then why did Jesus make it plain and clear that by divorcing your spouse you cause them to commit the act of adultry..
Marriage is also a Covenant before God ..

Romans 7:1-3 will help
Good day,
It wasn't explained because it contradicted everything he said before.
These verses harmonize perfectly well with the other verses in the Bible, about marriage and divorce.

does God join ALL marriages together?
Through Jesus we receive salvation in marriage. In marriage we change families, leave Adam's bloodline and become adopted through marriage in Jesus's (Family of Elohim). That's why in 1 Cor 7:39 if a widow (stays in family) wants to re marry she MUST marry a believer it's the same family (Elohim). If you leave the family you loose salvation. Until death do you part. Married to Jesus You have Eternal Life, No death , No separation = SALVATION
Unbelievers are still in their sins so it's a mute point. But if one turn to Christ then they left Adam and joined Jesus's family so now 1 Cor 7:12 applies, If they are willing to stay with you you must not divorce (separate) from them. I hope that helps.

Jesus was very clear on this. Will you take man’s word over God’s? Read God’s Word, your soul is on the line. The reason to stay unmarried allows the wayward one to repent and come back to his/her covenant union. If he/she dies, then you are free of that covenant union and may remarry. Becaus 26:32 e God's original plan is one man and one wife....One man & one Wife.

What if the spouse had committed adultery like Jesus mentioned?
What if the marriage has occurred before the two individuals were saved?
If your spouse has been in an adulterous relationship for 5 years, can you biblically divorce them? They do not want divorce, but they also don’t want to give up the adultery

Amen!!!
Ok so this is 47 minutes of error in understanding.
If a woman is divorced and she marries another she commits adultery.
1COR.7:25-40 is to the Virgins so when we read 1Cor.7:27-28 these people are not married but because they are espoused, betroth, which what we call engaged they are referred to as husband and wife
Watch this
Deuteronomy 22:23 KJV If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband....
Men can have multiple wives but a wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives
1 Corinthians 7:39 KJV The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth....

True a biblically divorced woman is unmarried but a wife divorced for a reason other than fornication committed before she married her husband is still married to that husband.
There is only one reason to divorce given by Moses explained by Jesus and dealt with when Paul spoke to the Married in 1COR.7:10-24
You error in understanding if you think divorce is due to abandonment
@@Thomas116-m2n
Yes the Pharisees were asking about a married wife and we know this because Deut.24:1 says when the man has take, and married
@@Thomas116-m2n
1 Corinthians 7:15 KJV But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
This is dealing with divorce for fornication but one believes in the lord and 1COR.7:10-11 and the other believes in the law Deut.24:1 and just wants to leave.
The Lord says don't divorce to the believer so
Paul does👉 not say you are no longer in bondage
Paul says a Brother or Sister is not under bondage in such cases.
There are three things going on here
1. Fornication the reason to divorce
2. The Lord commands instead of divorcing stay together
3. One believes in the lord the other only believes in the law of divorce

People get confused when reading Paul and don't always realize what he is speaking on
Paul was given a word to preach to the Gentiles
Acts 15:29 KJV That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication....
So some read this next verse and not realizing these are clean meats, they go eat pork
1 Tim 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
So what truth do they know?
That an Idol is nothing
adultery is not the exception, it is fornication....and that is not about a couple in a covenant relationship...
Semantics!
Have YOU committed "Adultery"?
You don't need to be teaching anyone get down from there you do not know what your talking about your leading people in the wrong direction.
Hmmmmm!
Another Devil.
This guy is not teaching crrectly
