The performance features the "Mark II line-up": Ritchie Blackmore, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Jon Lord and Ian Paice.

I took guitar lessons at age 15 in 1970 because of Ritchie Blackmore. I still play today at age 68. Am I any good. Ahh not really. But it sure has been fun. 😁🍺👍

В юности тоже считал это почти гениальным. С годами же пришло осознание, что бунтарско-новаторский дух молодых просто хочет иметь что-то своё, отличное от предпочтений предков. И это своё зачастую полная ерунда. Да, кое-что у Deep Purple можно отнести к отличной музыке (10%), но остальное так себе. Современной молодёжи нравится уже другое. И тоже в массе своей полная фигня.
Мне 37 но к стыду своему, или счастью совсем недавно открыл их для себя. Ну это просто космос! Их до сих пор никто не переплюнул(какая харизма). Я слышал что есть такая группа, но что произведёт на меня такое впечатление, не ожидал)

@@zaiabivatel Возможно, вы и правы. Первую половину 70-х им можно занести в зачёт, но а дальше только повторение и несколько супер-хитов.
11 year old me watched a bit of this performance when it briefly showed up in the Heavy Metal Pioneers documentary. When I saw Ritchie Blackmore go from classically trained guitar guy to feral maniac, it made me feel that this was an instrument worth playing. Now that I'm older I've seen faaaar better examples of his playing but watching this made me want to be a musician when I grew up and I'm pleased to say that has come true. What I learned from Deep Purple is that its possible to have a balance of that rock energy and showmanship as well as an insane technical knowledge of what it is you're playing. So thanks for that, Ritchie. 😊

Dude, same! When I saw this footage, I had the unstoppable urge to go out and buy a Fender Strat! Given, my budget at the time limited me to its much-more affordable little brother, the Fender Squier Stratocaster, but still!
I watched the documentary too when I was 10 years old and that was the first time I heard Deep Purple and it's the reason why I'm a musician. 🙂

Я не услышал в этой какофонии ничего , кроме шума. Причем однообразного . Надо реально слышать. И послушать Фреда и Пушного, которые разбирают партии КАК МУЗЫКАНТЫ того же Блекмора

70-й год, я только еще в школу пошел. В первый раз этих чуваков только через семь лет на своем первом монофоническом магнитофоне слушал. Было же время...Были музыканты от бога...
та же история,в 76г. брат старший купил магнитофон-- днепро-- и бобины с пёплом и цепелином!!! я тогда в 6 класс ходил..........
Так хорошо описали, но вот эьл ,,,музыканты от бога" не стоило так заканчивать. Музыкантов нельзя относить к Богу.
@@georgesaridis2333 Тут такое, дело...Музыканты, художники, да даже простой работяга на работу которого любо дорого посмотреть, это бог через них с нами говорит. Я не человек искусства, но руками много чего могу, к примеру по дереву режу, модели парусных кораблей неплохие делаю. Но потом смотрю на дело своих рук и сам не верю, что это я сотворил. Руки просто сами по себе работают, как будь то кто то водит ими, а голова в это время совсем другими мыслями занята, не связанными с работой. Так что настоящих музыкантов точно боженька поцеловал. Красота. гармония, мир вокруг нас и есть бог.

Deep Purple’s absolute masterpiece, like them no one has ever managed to have that energy where they mixed several genres together to give life to what, the first time I listened to it, didn’t even serm like music to me, I realised it was music with a capital “M”. ;-)
I was still in the process of being conceived in 1970😊 but started to appreciate Deep Purple in the 80's-90's and saw them live finally at the House of Blues 💙💜in West Hollywood in the late 90's and this is always fun when you can go back in the time machine and see new old footage of vintage bands. 🎤👌🎸🎹

This DP Line up who includes Blackmore, Gillan , Glover , Lord & Paice is in my opinion the best one that ever was , also includes the best collaboration among them . Let’s not forget that this also legendary line up 🆙 also made “ Made in Japan ״ made from “ Live in Japan 🇯🇵 “ , and also united all together in 1984 for “ Perfect 🤩 Strangers “ . . I myself personally like Ian Gillan better than Coverdale.

Heavy metal pinoneers... the distorted overdriven, jazzy rock sound, sharp as a saw cutting trees...blackmores knowlege of how to use the guitar, lords classic feel, trash drums by paice the enorm pumping bass of glover and congaplaying falsetto singing gillan and the longest mandrake root going over 30 minutes... aachen 1970... their experimental show... Stockholm 1970 is a evidence how strong the band was musicaly and fitness. Playing the Instrument to the limit takes a much bigger effort u can think of, it pure adrenalin... paired vs musical knowledge and the freeform of it. Deep purple were a pioneer in does thinks... the music they created was a testament to their time... its very rare find some musican who try to go the same way as purple.

Of the 5 members from Mark II (shown in this video) there were just 3 members in the Mark IX version in 2022. Blackmore is out and Lord has gone on to eternal rest.
