This video recaps the fourth season of Star Trek: Lower Decks, the animated Star Trek series focusing on the support crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos.
The season begins with the Cerritos arriving at Portelo for a classified mission. While speculating about the mission, Ensigns Mariner and Boimler are given various duties. Boimler is assigned an unpleasant holodeck cleaning task but could get promoted if nothing goes wrong. The Cerritos then helps restore the famous U.S.S. Voyager for a museum exhibit. But a transporter accident merges two crew members into one being, and malfunctioning holodecks unleash dangerous holograms that take the crew hostage.
In another episode, D'Vana Tendi returns home to Orion for her sister's wedding, only to learn she's been kidnapped as part of a pre-wedding tradition. Tendi must track down her sister, showing a dangerous side of herself unknown to her Cerritos crewmates. Later, the Cerritos escorts rambunctious Betazoid diplomats, who turn out to be intelligence agents investigating attacks. And a mission to update the Ferenginar travel guide puts Tendi and Rutherford in hilariously awkward situations as they pretend to be a married couple.
The Cerritos also contends with the return of the rogue AI Badgey, who tries destroying the Federation after taking over a scavenger ship. And Mariner begins displaying reckless behavior, leading her crewmates to believe she is acting out over her unwanted promotion. After being stranded on a jungle planet, Mariner reveals her troubled past and opens up about the burdens of rank.
In the finale, the Cerritos protects former cadet Nick Locarno, who Mariner discovers is connected to a mysterious attacking ship concerning Captain Freeman. After a season of comedy, drama and adventure, Lower Decks ends on an exciting cliffhanger leading into the next season.

The clown wasn't a hologram as it existed in a virtual reality to which people in suspended animation pods would be connected to and only existed so long as someone's mind was connected. If they have a hologram matrix of the clown, the curator created the hologram based on the reports of the encounter.
Sadly, it was recently announced that season 5 will be the last season of “Lower Decks.” However, “Strange New World” has been renewed for another season.

I have to admit this Star Trek Lower Deck Season 4 turn out be the best as Mariner, Boimler, Tendi and Rutherford became Lieutenant Junior while facing a lot of challenge. Every episodes are great but I am a little dsappointed that the writer never made an episode featuring Mariner and Jennifer at all in fact in episode 8 I was expecting Jennifer to join in the mission with Mariner so she could work things out with Mariner by amending this misunderstanding back in season 3 and be just friends but I have been told that it will happen in next year Star Trek Lower Deck Season 5 which it would mean that we will have to wait until next year😒.
The final episode of Star Trek Lower Deck Season 5 is good except for Tendi to leave the Cerrito to return to her home planet Orion but watching at the end of the episode feels more like a cliffhanger because Tendi looks like she's turning evil after seeing her eyes. Well we're going to have to find until next year to see if Tendi will return to Cerritos and her friends.
