What I like about Alyssa it that she’s so real. Nice job guys.
SafeLite can replace the windshield for around $300. Well worth it. If the seals are shrinking then that could also allow moisture to enter the vehicle which is not good.
Why can't you just add some goop to seal it up?

Kyle I suggest to fix it the right way by bring it to a windshield specialist because the windshield is bonded there is no gasket so it advisable to have it remove if they can do it without breaking it or put a new windshield if it not too expensive. the main reasons why you need to fix it quick if air is able to enter then water will definitely enter the car during snow melt , car wash or just with regular rain this car might have some electronic modules on the floor then they could be damaged with water ingress also the windshield is considered part of the Safety device witch helps body rigidity and I think also the function of the driver and passenger air bags plus it's going to cause mildew and rust to the flood pan.
I would think have the windscreen removed and re-installed would fix it.
A windshield shop might be able to replace the gasket while they have the screen out.
I've had my 2015 Smart Fortwo ED for 4 years now. Freaking love it. Only 2 issues had come up 1- breaks kind of seized from not getting used. They really just rubbed a bit on the disc, nothing big. They just needed to be lubricated. I use regen/engine break so much!
But now my airbag light is on. It happened right after I replaced my headlight bulbs. Now I need to find someone that can reset it, because it the light is on, the airbag will not work(that's my understanding).

I think there is actually a warranty thing going on at Smart for the windshield.

Wow, I never would've guessed it was wind noise from the windshield. It almost sounded like EM interference coming thru your speakers, as I've had that exact noise come thru the speakers many moons ago when I used to work in a wireless lab
I was thinking a belt or something rubbing.
I've actually seen that issue on a smart before. The Windshield isn't glued properly at the top. Get it either completely replaced or just take it out and reglue it. If you have a smoke machine, you could put that in the car and see where it leaks.
The windshield is a known issue that can be fixed under warranty if it still has it.

I am the owner of 453 electric 2017, only a regular non-cabriolet, the glass is not glued on top. This is a factory defect, which is pretty easy to remove with plywood, but I really like the car, I don’t plan to sell it, I drove 15,000 miles on it in a year and a half

I was set on buying a later model Smart ED and upgrade the head and taillights to the current lights as well as upgrade the stereo. But went with an i3 instead. No regrets.
I would moreso suggest, talking to the people at a Smart Center if you have one in your area? But i guess if you need to be a little cheaper, than yeah something like Safelite or something. But check with Smart Center and see what they say.

The real fix, Safelite. The $10 fix, some silicone mildew resistant caulk from the hardware store.
That is a shame about the convertible top. All this time I thought these cars were dishwasher safe.

Convertibles suffer from this as a rule... lots of flex since roof stiffness is compromised

I find it interesting that , essentially a Mercedes would have such basic quality issues.

Three out of ten tags in Colorado are expired. I'd be curious if the Model 3 NC tags have given them any issues.
