When i was a teen, I worked at pet shop. We would sometimes sell tarantulas and they just creeped me out. But thanks to your channel, Kat i am now considering getting one.

Me too!! I did the same! I’d be too worried of them dying when they’re that tiny. The steep price tag for such a tiny baby seems too high to me as well. 🥺😢 Would love to get an Aphonopelma steindachneir subadult or adult female one day. ❤
@@heidiveronica They're the only ones available, anywhere in the world. Their website says this breeding project has taken them 10 years to produce an eggsack. I'd expect the price to be higher, to be honest.
@Heidi Veronica the bigger they are the more expensive they will be as someone has invested into the animal. Especially with something so rare. I hope you find your dream T tho!
@@MissBanks612 Oh trust me, I know. I have 11 beautiful female Tarantulas and I’ve spent $200 - $500 each for some of my subadult/adult female species. So I don’t mind doing that at all. I just got a female subadult Brachypelma klassi and didn’t mind paying $350 for her since she was a subadult, confirmed female and a difficult species to find in the hobby. I just can’t justify $100 + shipping for such a teeny tiny baby tarantula that could more easily die and when you don’t know if it’s a female or male or not. 🤷♀️ For anyone who wants one, absolutely go for it. 👍 I’ll keep my eyes out for a subadult/adult female Aphonopelma steindachneir in the future though. 😊
I got an Aphonapelma chalcodes Arizona Blonde over a year ago and it is still teeny tiny!! Taking ages to grow. I knew it would though. Awesome.

Bro I just got a tarantula baby from Fear Not who was so small there was a red warning label on the vial giving a heads up on how utterly tiny they are. I ended up repurposing the vial as an enclosure for them for now because they literally are so puny! I’d lose them if they were in something bigger!
Aphonopelma steindachneri and Aphonopelma eutylenum are both on my "yes this one eventually" list. i grew up seeing them and being told "tarantulas pff stop exaggerating" so now i'm like. behold. evidence. i win. lmao
What’s the growth rate on those slings? I’m guessing pretty slow since they were born in September.
The Tarantula Cribs are so much better than the critter keepers in every way. Beautiful new babies, but I love the Jumper the most.

At what size do you transition out of feeding jumping spiders fruit flies? I feed my jumpers about 7-8 every couple days and they are eating them all. What is the next insect to feed? I'm worried a cricket will bite back.
I would try house flies. They're smaller and are a good step between large fruit flies and blue bottles.

Could u help me I got a juvenile curly hair tarantula a month ago and she hasn't eaten, she molted on March 5 and her fangs r black but she still refuses to eat. Is there a way I can message u pics of her and her enclosure so u can see everything and let me know if I'm doing something wrong?
I'm not Kat but it is totally normal for them to not eat. Keep offering food once a week. When she's hungry, she'll eat. My a. avicularia molted in November, ate a month later, and hasn't eaten since. And, she's healthy and happy.

I doubt you'll see this and it has absolutely nothing to do with the video, just want to give some advice. When you want to do a wing liner, put it on with your eyes open, not closed. It'll make an unusual line, but it will look absolutely BRILLIANT! Just some advice from one hooded eye girl to another, lol. Look for "eyeliner for hooded eyes" on UA-cam. Great video as always!
