A few days ago I got my first ever reptile, a crested gecko. Leading up to getting him I watched a bunch of your videos about crested geckos. I learned a lot from them and thanks to you my gecko is going to be living his life with the proper care. Thanks for all you do!
More spiders!!!?!? They are so cool! I would not get one for me cuz i would accidentally lose it. I have been a subscriber forever, and i love your videos. They always make my day! 😊 have a great week and see u in the next one!
i’ve recently gotten into Jumping spiders , and i never knew how much i would be obsessed with them ! i have a Phiddipus Regius. Audax. Johnsoni. Princeps. and 2 Platycryptus undatus ! i was only suppose to have 1 spider , my regius (her name is Princess Peach) but they’re so easy and fun to care for ! and all the species look so amazing
Hiii I've been watching your channel since I got my gecko who's like 5 years old I'm 15 now😭😭I love your channel so much you've made me fall in love with jumping spiders ❤
I was tempted to get a jumping spider after watching yours they look so so cute 😍 but I'm terrified of spider's and seeing how big Betty got so quickly, I am now just content Watching your videos so thank you xx I'm thinking winnie is going to be massive ahhhhh xx
😂 To be fair if you had one they probably wouldn't mind not being handled, you can always pop food in. I always thought they'd try to jump out when I opened the tanks, but they're pretty chill.
QUESTION‼️‼️🚨⚠️ My leopard gecko (cheesecake) is quite aggressive while eating but sometimes she’ll bite her tounge and it looks like it’s bleeding but then she licks her nose and stuff but no blood comes off so idk if it’s the lighting or what but if she’s biting her tounge how do I get her to chill out while eating or improve her aim
i love your spider content and they are SO cute it kills me :3 my only issue with jumpers is their lifespan. i really wish they lived as long as tarantulas
Me and my kids are waiting for update. We've got two Phidippus regius for a few months and they are really interesting little creatures. Greetings from Poland.
I enjoy your spider content and I would love to see more. Would love to see more of the Mantis and the ants if you wish to share them. Don't let it become something that would cause you stress. Just share what you find interesting, fun, amusing. Those types of things. Thank you!
Thank you, no it's lovely to hear people want to see more content about them. The ants are going wild, their numbers have exploded and they're getting an expansion on their nest. Timothy the praying mantis now has wings! To be fair a bug update is probably overdue haha
I love that you have jumping spiders bc I’m obsessed with them too! I’m planning to get my first one by the end of the month, just still finalizing their home and which breeder I want to buy from
I would recommend the velvet spider, they are calm, they are super easy to take care of but they do cost a little more that like a jumping spider I bought mine for USD $120 I also bought another one for USD $110 but with overnight shipping was $170 USD. But it’s all worth it they live for around 5-6 years for the females but males are 2-3. These are my favorite spiders they are great beginner spiders for people just getting into spiders.
super cute I'm getting a jumping spider and wondering what gender? I really want a girl but I'm being put of by the egg laying could you tell me what you do with the egg sack do you take it out do you leave it then what happens to it does she come out thanks for the vid!
Honestly either would do, they're very similar. So far i find Betty far easier to handle than Bertie, but I don't know if thats a male/female thing. I was worried about eggs, but fortunately unlike other inverts, jumping spiders won't asexually reproduce, so they should all be infertile.
Thank you :D I'm still quite new to it, so I don't know if I am really the best to do one, but I guess I could basically pass on what I currently know haha :)
Have you thought about a tarantula? Never thought we would have one but now have 8! Fascinating to watch, especially the high Webber’s. Our avicularia avicularia has made a most fantastic web tunnel.
@@leopardgeckotalk it’s funny my daughter doesn’t like jumpers but is ok with T’s. Maybe get to one of the invert shows and take a look around. Went to the capital show yesterday and it was ace. Came home with a widow jumper and my son got a new Tarantula. Curly Hairs are a great start as they are incredibly fluffy and pretty docile. Lots of great species out there 👍
This is awesome i actually found a black jumping spider and I wanted to take care of him but he was so scared idk why and he didn't want to eat so i took him back to where i found him but i was so sad that i couldn't took care of him
1:50 Phidippus johnsoni are actually an average size spider, they aren’t too large is size(males mature at around 7-10mm body length and females 8-12mm). In the hobby they seem to be wild caught and often confused with a species known as Phidippus ardens, which are much larger on average(about the size of phidippus regius). I was worried that in the hobby, the Phidippus johnsoni that are being caught are actually Phidippus ardens that are being mislabelled, the ones in europe are looking questionable as they are developing beige or light grey carapaces which isn’t typically in Phidippus johnsoni, more in Phidippus ardens. Phidippus are sexed by their pedipalps(males develop bulbs) and epigynum. All species except for Phidippus regius(sexually dimorphic juveniles) have identical male & females, the correct way to sex is via those sexual organs once the spider is penultimate or mature as the males will develop bulbs(females will develop epigynums only when mature).
Me and my girlfriend took in a jumping spider that was living around our school, our bully was trying to step on it and kill it. I think we’ll release it in the woods near my house once it gets a little warmer :)
My gecko smells a lot recently, when she used to only smell when she shed. Is this a bad sign, and is there a way to make her smell better? This is my first ever reptile so I don’t know this
Best way to tell male and female apart that I know of is to look at the pedipalps. Males will have swollen 'punching gloves' while females have normal size
Just went to a reptile expo and bought a baby jumping spider and the little enclosure too. This is a baby jumping spider, I have no idea how to take care of spiders and have never owned one. I don’t want it to die and he’s very small. He can get out of the enclosure through the holes so I’m keeping him in his little cup for now. I removed all the dead fruit flys and put a paper towel with purifiers water on it and on the sides. Not sure what to do from here or how often and how many fruit flys I should feed it. The guy said to wait for her to molt one more time before transferring it…. How do I know when it’s time to molt? I want to keep her alive and healthy and have a connection with her. I really am worried it might die :(
Hi there! What did you do? Is she or he stil alive? I hope you found another helpful channel which could support you..seems as if here is nothing to expect..
An anyone please help point me in the direction of buying ready to eat house flies or green bottle flies. I can only find pupae and worried about make sure I can get them to hatch

Aww thank you so much. Yeah I'm not going to lie, when they're this quick and small it could be very easy to lose them 🙈
never thought id say this but wow those little spiders are sooo cute!. love the vids(:
Thank you! :)
All spiders are venomous! Jumping spiders are no exception, but unless you happen to be allergic, it will only cause a very mild local reaction.
Except one family: Uloboridae. Look 'em up, it's really weird!

Is substrate important in the enclosure, or could you use something like terrarium liner for the bottom?
Great video! Can we maybe see some more crested gecko content?
Yeah sure :) What would you like to know/see?

Ah yeah, I don't know if she's too small to say for sure at the moment.
How old are Bertie and Betty now?
Betty is over a year old, and Bertie must be coming up for a year, but he is far more active than betty.
So cute! If you're not sure of the sex of an animal, you could say they/them or use a neutral name :)
Yeah I was going to do that but I'm pretty sure they're both girls :')

i do, and i love to take photos of them, they are cute. But their tiny size scares me, i cant have them sa pets
