I fell in love with Fergie's singing the second I heard him. In this video, a few years older and scarred by illness, he still has a way better voice and range than many young current wannabe's. RIP Fergie love you forever.
Fergie definitely has one of the best voices in rock! I still listen to the Toto "Isolation" album all the time, and I have a CD of it permanently in my car CD changer. :)

Isolation is bad ass, not sure why he didn't make another cd with the band. I read somewhere Fergie said the band realized they made a mistake hiring him only a few months after. Could be different personalities
@@ryanc643 Lukather said in his book that Fergie was great live, but had trouble in the studio keeping in pitch. It took forever to get a complete song because they would have to sometimes record one line at a time over and over to get it right and the different takes would be pieced together to make a whole song.
This is an excellent AOR song! It really rocks and I'm glad that I have discovered it even with a massive delay. Also I didn't know that this Voice is no longer with us. R.IP. Fergie.

La voce di Fergie era spettacolare e la presenza scenica era potentissima ed in fine se i Toto lo avevano scelto certo era che se lo meritava. Mi dispiace che la sua carriera forse non ha avuto del tutto il successo che meritava, ma lo ricorderò sempre riascoltando anche questa canzone che era cantata meravigliosamente nella versione originale con i Toto (uno dei gruppi che amo ed amerò per sempre). Así es, sus canciones (las de su grupo original y las que tocó con Toto) merecen ser más difundidas, tenía un registro vocal sorprendente, unas notas agudas y cambios de tono de voz únicos. La versión original de esta canción es sobresaliente.

I also believe many true fans of the group, as much as we love Bobby and Luc, still believe your vocals on the Isolation album make it our favorite Toto album... by far. Sad though, that you did not get another chance to lead on other albums for them. I will be looking up other bands you have sung with, something I should have done long ago!
Being a professional acoustic drummer for many moons that guitar player is gorgeous and awesome. Toto will always be my favorite band.

Amazing voice! He sings this version after almost 30 years in the same key as he did in '84 with Toto on Isolation album incredible! I already had a ticket to a Fergie concert in 2013 but he didn't perform due to illness... I felt a great sadness because I wanted so much to hear him....

Wow! Steve Lukather is looking pretty good these days. Haha. On a serious note: I never realized that Fergie sang his own version of this underrated Toto track. Very Cool. I always thought he was one of the best singers Toto ever had. Sad to hear he passed but his music & legacy will live on forever.

From what I have read, he struggled in the studio. Apparently, there were no hard feelings between he and the members of the band. I don't think he was a natural fit, however.

Dude had serious vocal chops! This is such a crazy TOTO LP after IV...what were they thinking...great tunes...but they lost their Grammy audience and never recovered in the US. Fergie should have been a top rocker lead vocalist if he ever landed the right band.

youre right he sounded exactly the same as he did in toto. he still had the range and the lot. he really was a true fighter. he did loads of live shows and 2 albums in his final years. its amazing how ill people can be but still can sing brilliant. just like freddie mercury did. RIP fergie.

His vocals on Endless must be one of the strongest vocal performances ever. One of Rock history's most catchy songs ever. I still don't understand why that song didn't become a world hit.
