I had open spine surgery for a ruptured disk at L2-L3 about 20 months ago. I still have lower back pain on both sides after standing for a short time or prolonged sitting. I have been diagnosed with advanced degenerative disk disease at L5-S1 and moderate narrowing at L2-3 plus mild narrowing at L1-L2 disk space period. Am I a candidate for the Lazer disk repair?
I HAD BACK FUSION ONLY ONE DISK WAS REMOVED AND SPENT 4 DAYS IN THE HOSPITAL AND 11 DAYS IN THE REHAB. HOW CAN YOU POSIBLY GO HOME RIGHT AFTER THE FUSION SURGERY?
It’s true…i have artificial disc/fusion and i have continuing pain…and it’s painnnnnfullll….it’s been almost 5 months and i my right shoulder pain has reoccurred…
Dr Deuk. I am 23 years old, currently located in Armenia and have been suffering from back pain since I was 18. I used to lift weights with a bad trainer and seemingly damaged my back. I have been to every doctor in my country and every one of them has said there is no hope for me. I have lost about 2 inches of height and have been limited in my physical activity. Is there a chance I could visit you in the USA and get myself fixed up with the Deuk Laser Surgery? Thank you in advance, appreciate your honesty
Yes my Armenian friend you can. We need to complete the free mri review first so I will know what treatment you need. Do you have an MRI? If so please use this link mri.deukspine.com
The laser treatment looks so incredibly promising. I need to have it done, but I'm worried that if I get an "updated" MRI that it won't show much like the one I had 3-4 years ago does. My pain never fully goes away and really limits a lot of things for me such as lifting a 25lb box or bending forward. I'm afraid to work out or go for jogs because of my back, and I hate taking pain killers because of how bad they are for me in the long run (sometimes they don't even work depending on my level of pain on a given day). And I'd really prefer to not have to re-experience my disc bulging all over again just to get an MRI to show that the problem is definitely still there, because that pain is easily the worst pain I've ever felt :/
Rick how are you today? Any updates? I know what you mean about the pain worst imaginable pain ever. I hope you found some type of relief if so please share. I am trying to figure out my back pain as we speak. Had a fusion at L4-L5 still in pain but considering this surgery he talks about at the L5-S1 level. Good luck to you.
@@KBradAdams thanks for reaching out. I still need to figure out my options with my job because I'll be damned if I'm gonna work at all during the 6week recovery. I do a lot of moderate lifting at my current job and it's mostly fine as long as I pay close attention to my form. I intend to take the full 6 weeks to let it heal whenever I'm able to have it done. I wanna make sure this never comes back.
@@KBradAdams sorry to hear about the fusion that's exactly where my disc problem is too. I feel like it's one of the worst spots to have a bulging disc too lol. I knew right away I didn't wanna do fusion and my doctor's didn't even wanna do it on me anyway and I'm glad they didn't. Seeing the surgery process for fusion it just looks awful all around 😕
@@RickGuitarist94 Yeah I agree take the full 6 weeks off and do nothing but walk. I had a discectomy but it never felt right but I will say I woke up with zero leg pain and zero sciatic pain. A couple of years later after visiting two surgeons saying it is not right, and them saying just do whatever you want. I went back to a jiujitsu class. Did a warmup and drilling and it hurt the next day. 3 days later I sneezed and it ruptured again and man it was worse than the first time... constant pain like someone stuck and burning pole in my back down to my foot.. I threw muscle relaxers opiods everything at it and nothing helped.. I would move and it would lock up again... it was torture... not just painful... screaming pain... for about 24 hours.. finally crawled to the car and my wife drove me to an MRI and surgeon and I laid in the waiting area on the floor.. he saw the MRI and me and did surgery the next week. My white blood count was so high he almost wouldn't do it but said it was from the torture pain I experienced the days before having my blood work done. Woke up from L4/L5 fusion and sciatic pain free but my back still didn't feel right so thinking either I did not fuse or my L5/S1 disc is bad and it was never addressed. Hoping this doctor can do the laser thing on that disc and if it doesn't work well I can always do the fusion down the road. But like you said do whatever you can to stay pain free. Good luck.
