Got this GTR led for my 2012 Audi and its worth ever penny. Super bright and it's going strong for 10 months now. Now I am looking into getting 1 for my 2017 Nisaan frontier pro 4x.
Lumens will only give you the brightness measurement in a specific frequency or small range of that particular led. The cri or color rendering index will give a better idea of the spectrum coverage. I prefer a high cri warm white led, which will render outdoor backgrounds nicely and will be easier to discern shape and color. Warmer colors will also be better for fog.

That's a stupid question bud. LUX is an intensity so it depends on how far you are from the light source. Better off asking increase percentage over stock halogen. Then it's a set distance and point in the beam
Here in the philippines, some people are saying that fanless type of led is better than a led with fan. Because there is an expensive brand here that cost $160 and its a fanless type. So they believe that fanless is better. Until I saw this GTR ultra 2. Now I know that fan type is better. 😁
I have these in my Honda cbr 600rr and I love them I had hid bulbs before which were bright but they put shadows in the road confused me when riding and I got flashed by other drivers all the time now I just need them to make a conversion to have duel low duel high beams
How would this bulb work in a 2015 Toyota Rav4? The OE Halogen bulbs mounts sideways in the housing which would make the LED chips face front and rear as suppose to left to right
I think they're trying to use one adjustable design for multiple applications. When they come out with drop in replacements which are already correctly aligned I'll start to pay a little more attention.
It is so hard to come up with bulbs that will drop in already adjusted, this is due to the vehicle manufacturers constantly changing those headlight setups. I wish we could get something for you there, let us know if you have any other questions!
I live in the country and the roads are very dark and there's lot's of wildlife round. I know more than a few folks that have hit Deer at night. I;m going to look into these GTRs. I just hope they fit my car.
Which is brighter the sv4 or this one? I'm s little bit confused, I saw some videos where you said the sv4 is the best and now it this one. I don't know what to buy lol
Yeah that's my problem, everyone lies about their LUMENS. An LED chip can't output 12,000 lumens. So I'm just stuck getting whatever is the highest number and hope it's at least brighter than the last one.
It has a screw. We've had better luck with the screw based bulbs lately, the push in and turn style seem to strip out if you adjust them too much. Thank you for watching! -Chris W

Why only halogen style collars and no "D" series for original hid systems replacement? As far as I'm aware, this bulb outperformed even 55w hid system.
BTW is this finally the bulb to be as bright or brighter than a 55w HID? Also why no 5k option. As you mentioned in other videos and I have also pointed out 5k is better for snow and fog.
Guys could someone tell me if H4 headlights must be at a 93° angle? I saw that in this channel, the guy was telling you must twist them a little but never heard about that again... I just got a pair of CSP and I want to know pls

@@willl84 Mine is '19 Optima and would love to replace the halogen bulbs with these ones. But they keep referencing "car specific" requirements so I'm quite confused lol
Just one very important question, How much RFI / EMI noise do these emit. Others knock out my CB reception soon as I turn them on. Even with farrite beads and a Faraday cage around the drivers they all emit too much. Are these FCC approved?
I am not sure if this would affect your CB radio, they definitely are not designed specifically to work with one. As for the FCC approval, I have never heard of the Federal Communications Commission regulating automotive lighting, but these are not DOT approved if that is what you were asking. Let us know if you have any other questions, we are here to help! Thank you for your time and have a great day!
I would like to see a test with an SRX factory projector housing. There are complaints of how the original housing is the problem and no matter if you use LED or HID the brightness does not get fixed. Before I buy an after market projector housing I would like to know if this LED would be a simple fix.

2019 Chevy Spark with the front end redesign would be an awesome headlight housing to use being that its a projector type housing. I bought LED's and they're not bright. I've messed with them and aimed them higher and still no dice.
They fit "older" vehicles too! Your low beams are a 9006 bulb, and your high beams are a 9005 bulb. You can find both of those here: headlightrevolution.com/led-headlight-bulbs/gtr-lighting-ultra-series-2/
What about LED replacements for Standard 1056/1057 type lights, that are typical of older turn signals and such..?? I am thinking especially for my motorcycles, where visibility from the REAR can be almost as important as seeing in front of me.. And my 'stalk' turn signals are constantly on, with the low-beam headlight... So continuous lighting can increase heat issues.
I bought them from u guys but its gonna be shipped on the 2/22/20.. i dont mind waiting but man the waiting intensifies as the days go by haha i just cant wait to be blinding everybody at night getting my pay back lol the tables will turn my friends!
Already pre-ordered a set of 9005’s for my Taurus. Will the rubber seal that goes over the back of the headlights in a Ford Taurus mess with the cooling system for these lights?

How does this bulb perform in a KC daylighter/Apollo housing, or a PIAA 540 housing? I mean, yes, there are a lot of great lights right now, especially the yellow ones, but some of the older housings are tailored to a given build and are only in need of some new kick-ass bulbs. I got some supernova V-4's in amber, and PerfectFit's that really work great.
I would like to know as well. My auto on headlights are very sensitive to these led bulbs. So far with sealight and hikari ultra I've been having flickering/cutting off issues.
Do these do a better job of beam projection in a projector headlight? I've driven some cars to LED's and yes, close to the vehicle is nice and bright but the light does not seem to pierce through the dark as well as the halogen does.
Lordco Auto Parts tell me that the Philips 9007 LEDs are good, ($89.99 +taxCAD) not tried them though, trying to read reviews of many LED headlight bulbs

On top of all that, the connections were wired wrong so that low and high beam were reversed.
Well I am happy to hear that the ones you have are working for you, at least better than those original pair you tried! Shoot us an email if you have any other qustions or concerns! Have a good one!

@@HeadlightRevolution So far, so good! I reckon they will probably fail in a year and I'll need to buy something else, but for now, great.
I just installed the Fleece 'All lights on' mod and now high beams are even better with low and high both on. Will be a pleasure driving this truck at night.
Right on man, those all high adapters are fantastic! Let us know if you need anything else! Have a good one!

@@MoonRambo702 paypal or venmo?
You say that a lot but never give them the money. Why is that?

Right 265 for 2 bulbs, insane and if you got it like that miswell start wiping with 100's friend......... I'm out! 🤣🤣🤣
Great Job......NOW the question is.....will it work for the Chevy Cruze…?????
What lux meter do you use? And how far from wall is headlight when you measure the lux output?
Excellent tutorial, spoken clearly and delivered detailed information that was easy to follow. Thank you.
Thank you for watching!
I wanted to do a retro fit on my 2001 jimmy, but they don't make anything for that. But these led bulbs are awesome , now I need the brights.
I got some of these for my car projector units, since my HID lights stopped working. Cant wait to install them!! I will be sure to put a video up.
What do you think about them?
@@danisantos3255 Well the lights themselves are good but my projector headlights units are crap so the beam pattern is messed up.
What are the lux rating on these on a 9007/9004 style bulb. How do the low/hi beams perform on them?
Thanks for the comment Tysen!
How would this bulb work in a 2015 Toyota Rav4? The OE Halogen bulbs mounts sideways in the housing which would make the LED chips face front and rear as suppose to left to right
What vehicle headlight projector were you using in this video?
I don't know what to buy lol
i pre ordered mine on black Friday! i have h4's for a 2nd gen Tacoma
You're going to love them. We've done a lot of testing with this bulb, It's insane. -Chris W
Do you have a comparison against HIDs
Thank you for giving me the info I was looking for in choosing a led bulb for my 2018 Tacoma.
No problem 👍
I installed them on my 2015 Chevy Traverse low beam, they look great and are bright. Next will be for the high beams.
Glad you liked them 🙌 Shoot us an email and we can totally get you set up with those high beams! Sales@HeadlightRevolution.com
Yeah that's my problem, everyone lies about their LUMENS. An LED chip can't output 12,000 lumens. So I'm just stuck getting whatever is the highest number and hope it's at least brighter than the last one.
Very true, that’s a big reason why we bother testing so many bulbs on our channel.
On the H13/9008 LED does it have a push in turn or a screw to clock the led??
It has a screw. We've had better luck with the screw based bulbs lately, the push in and turn style seem to strip out if you adjust them too much. Thank you for watching! -Chris W
@@HeadlightRevolution With the screw, do you have to remove the led to adjust or can be adjusted with the led inside the Light housing??
Hi van you tell me or recommend for a h3 bulb/fog lights. Y paid more than 100USD for a replacements with the wrong pattern and weak lights. My fog lights are plasma ion piaa. Thanks a lot for your consideration.
Send us an email with your vehicle info to Sales@HeadlightRevolution.com and we will help you get exactly what you need for your vehicle. We've done a ton of testing on different vehicles and know what works well.
These are really bright, I definitely got my money's worth
Glad you like your set!
How do these perform in inclement weather?
Again, excellent video. Thanks for putting these out there. Keep up the excellent work.
Glad you like them!
What would be the position of the LED bulb inside of a projector headlight?
Please!! I've been searching for this answer and nobody talks about it..just reflector housing
Same 9 and 3 as reflectors.
Yes this is the same bulb. No 5k because far and away most people still prefer 6k.
@@HeadlightRevolution Can you please do a video show how this performs in your 5 gen 4runner? Preferably compared to the Hikari Ultra.
Good information. I had HID headlights, but kept burning out the bulbs - expensive.
Thank you for watching!
Guys could someone tell me if H4 headlights must be at a 93° angle? I saw that in this channel, the guy was telling you must twist them a little but never heard about that again... I just got a pair of CSP and I want to know pls
Serious question: Why do you guys only test on trucks, not other types of cars?
This! I want to get some for my '17 Cruze with projectors but after watching the Canyon and Colorado videos they each do best with different bulbs! I figured they'd be the same unit!
@@willl84 Mine is '19 Optima and would love to replace the halogen bulbs with these ones. But they keep referencing "car specific" requirements so I'm quite confused lol
Probably because most people in USA drive trucks, and as such they wanna know what works for them.
@@TopiasSalakka they do? I've been doing it wrong.
'murica
How do they do with the Chevy Colorado 2018 projector + would they fit in my low beam's?
Also curious about this.
OMG Black O-Rings!
I sooo need these bulbs.
You may need a PWM Noise filter.
How well would this bulb work on my 15’ Subaru Legacy with projector headlights? Or which HID Bulb would you recommend?
Morimoto h11s are really good if u have the money if u want cheap I had last fit and still do and work good and really really bright
The Morimoto H11s aren't bad at all! We've featured them in a couple of our bulb shootout videos recently. Thank you for watching! -Chris W
What are the best LED light for a projector head lamp, such as a 2011 Cadillac SRX, thanks
I would like to see a test with an SRX factory projector housing. There are complaints of how the original housing is the problem and no matter if you use LED or HID the brightness does not get fixed. Before I buy an after market projector housing I would like to know if this LED would be a simple fix.
NEXT Test PLEASE!!! SV4 VS ULTRA 2 LED bulb.... Would LOVE to see the outcome and HELP me make up my mind... Keep up the GREAT content!!!
We already did! Go find our "25 brand led bulb shootout" video we posted last week
@@HeadlightRevolution THANK YOU for the response... I did watch it, but NOW I will really pay attention to that video!!! GREAT job on the channel and INFO!!! Much APPRECIATED!!!! Happy Holidays to everyone!!!!
Please forgive me... Many months ago, I'm pretty sure you reviewed SV4 I think it was called..Now that was suppose to be a really good bulb and was also great to use in projectors... I did ask a question regarding my aftermarket headlight assembly on that review..
So would this be the best way to go then? Thank you for your time!! GREAT work and content on this channel!!! It's much appreciated!! Have a Great Turkey Day and Happy Holidays!!
The fan and heat sink is HUGE on these. What cars actually fit such a huge rear without issues??
We've managed to fit them in most applications. For the applications they do not fit, the S-V.4 does!
How well do they work in reflector housings with those plastic bulb holders. It's an older car 2004 Olds Alero.
Is GTR led better than Osram led ?
If you have chance can you compare GTR V/s osram
We've done quite a bit of testing on our channel with almost every type of bulb manufacturer out there, You should definitely check out some of the other videos! -Chris W
Which is worth osram or GTR leds.
Or GTR HIds
Can you please do a video comparison between GTR Ultra 2 and Morimoto 2Stroke 2.0?
They never test good bulbs against one another, only cheaper ones to help sell the new stuff.
We actually already made a video like that, and I have linked that for you here: ua-cam.com/video/LT-s4Eg7cyw/v-deo.html
Sean, that is actually not true at all, we have tested those 2 bulbs against many others in the vidoe I linked for you below! Check that out, and let us know if you have any questions! Link: ua-cam.com/video/LT-s4Eg7cyw/v-deo.html
@@HeadlightRevolution good deal
2019 Chevy Spark with the front end redesign would be an awesome headlight housing to use being that its a projector type housing. I bought LED's and they're not bright. I've messed with them and aimed them higher and still no dice.
Go ahead and try them out! Shoot us an email and we would be happy to give you a hand with that!👍 Sales@HeadlightRevolution.com
I have a 2004 Tahoe but it appears the GTR’s only fit newer vehicles.
They fit "older" vehicles too! Your low beams are a 9006 bulb, and your high beams are a 9005 bulb. You can find both of those here:
headlightrevolution.com/led-headlight-bulbs/gtr-lighting-ultra-series-2/
What about LED replacements for Standard 1056/1057 type lights, that are typical of older turn signals and such..??
I am thinking especially for my motorcycles, where visibility from the REAR can be almost as important as seeing in front of me..
And my 'stalk' turn signals are constantly on, with the low-beam headlight... So continuous lighting can increase heat issues.
Shoot us an email at Sales@headlightrevolution.com and we can assist you.
I bought them from u guys but its gonna be shipped on the 2/22/20.. i dont mind waiting but man the waiting intensifies as the days go by haha i just cant wait to be blinding everybody at night getting my pay back lol the tables will turn my friends!
You are going to love these things! Just make sure you aim them properly, They are quite bright!
Already pre-ordered a set of 9005’s for my Taurus. Will the rubber seal that goes over the back of the headlights in a Ford Taurus mess with the cooling system for these lights?
Thank you mate. I was looking LED headlight for my Camry from while but today i got best one. Thanks again for making it easy and amazing comparison. Cheers
Glad this video helped you out, and that you like those headlights! If you have any issues, or need any other bulbs, let us know and we will get you taken care of!👍
How did it all work for your car? Installation? Beam pattern/focus? Life?
How does this bulb perform in a KC daylighter/Apollo housing, or a PIAA 540 housing?
I mean, yes, there are a lot of great lights right now, especially the yellow ones, but some of the older housings are tailored to a given build and are only in need of some new kick-ass bulbs. I got some supernova V-4's in amber, and PerfectFit's that really work great.
These will perform great in nearly every halogen replacement application!2
Do these worth with vehicles that have a PWM headlight circuit?
I would like to know as well. My auto on headlights are very sensitive to these led bulbs. So far with sealight and hikari ultra I've been having flickering/cutting off issues.
Neil Foster im talking about PWM that is a pulsing current meant to extend the life and reduce power consumption of headlights.
Is there no h1 option? Any plans for one?
I got them for my fog . Best upgrade !!!! Is there H1 in GTR2 ?
Unfortunately not, we have them in the S-V.4 though!
What is the difference between 9 clock and horizontal. What is the best to throw the beam well. My car is Nissan Patrol y62. Thank you
They need to be side to side, this is how the reflectors are designed to focus the light!
Please show comparison between H4 led's like the 1st gen gtr, 2nd gen gtr, auxbeam t1 and some other auxbeams, nighteye, etc.
Just ordered. That was an expensive video.

Do these do a better job of beam projection in a projector headlight? I've driven some cars to LED's and yes, close to the vehicle is nice and bright but the light does not seem to pierce through the dark as well as the halogen does.
What’s the best replacement for a Vw Lupo gti? Thanks!
