Couple of thoughts...think 'time-lapse' with those beautiful clouds. Always bring a polarizer regardless...options! You most definitely need to 'light' up the subject inside the car....more suction cups! Sometimes those clouds/tree shadows are lovely to remain in the shot. All depends on your visual/storytelling aesthetic.
Solid points! I’m actually playing with a whole new filter system after finishing this video. Hopefully I’ll be more prepared next time. And shoot at a better time of day. Mid-day sun is brutal!
@David Manning hey David I paused at 4:50, and I feel your anxiety. I'm nervous just watching this. I like that you have a secondary lanyard as a back up, but do you know what else you could do? Is mount your gopro on the A7siii, looking down at the suction cups, then using the gopro app on your phone to monitor the suction cup indicators... Gopro doubling up as a safety cam 😊
@@DavidManningvlog all I know is I've got lots of those little white plastic boxes all over the place 🤣 they should just do a value 12 pack, anyone that has a few cameras could easily use all of that.
Hello David, really enjoyed the video, I'm really glad you told us about the fails and not just re-do the video after learning from the mistakes. This honesty and type of video is very relatable and I really enjoyed it. Keep up the hard work and looking forward to the next video. Also, I was looking for the affiliate link for the Aura frame and couldn't find it? I really like the idea and want to get one for my partner so she can see all the daft pictures of us also drinking lots of espresso and pornstar martinis!
Thanks man, I really appreciate you watching and following along with the highs and the lows! Aura frame link is in the description, legit the greatest gift ever🙌
@@DavidManningvlog I appreciate you too man, thanks for all the content you've posted, kept me sane all this time 👍💪 Looks like my other half is getting an Aura frame 😍

We've all been there - rushing things for various reasons and ending up making a mess of things. I've done it loads. Too impatient. I have to tell myself to calm down. I took my Sony on a fast car last year at slow speed as I was convinced the suction was going to fail.
Absolutely the case! Once the clouds started burning off, I tried to hurry up to get some shots. Should have just postponed it until sunset. Awesome to get the rigging experience though. This setup is super legit!
I just made a video about failing and how it helps u learn so much. I feel like the older we get, the more we ignore doing things were not confident about, which in turn means less failing but less learning too
That's so true! Leaning into only the things we think we're good at removes so much failure and learning opportunities! I have a big one coming up that's partially inspired by you my friend. I'll keep you in the loop when that one posts👍
Thank you for pointing out your mistatkes. It makes us "not so talented" folks feel a little bit better. Learning day by day. Love your videos!
Talent is in the eye of the beholder! We’re all just working to get better day by day!

I think the biggest mistake was don't turning off the stabilization ;)

Awesome video. Love the transparency and honesty. Learn every day, and I learned a ton by you sharing all the struggles.
Love hearing that! Sometimes it’s hard to show the failures, but that’s all part of the journey!
Great job on the video David! Thanks for making it.
Thanks man, I appreciate you watching!
live and learn........ya those suction cups looks amazing. They are pricey, but very cool. Great video as always.
Yay more falcam quick release content, just love how many possibilities there is with this system. Like what I said before it's just like legos.
This was by far the most nervous I’ve ever been playing with legos!

I’m 100% guilty of getting cases like that and stashing them thinking, “I could totally use those one day!”…but I never do🤣
They're nice but too expensive.
Super cool set up!
You shaking the box reminded me of the Ace Ventura opening scene where he’s delivering a package 😂😂📦
Hahahahhaaaaha!!! YES!!!🙌🤣
i love this. This reminds me of my first few attempts at moving pro rigs. Then i bought the Ronin 4D 🖤
Wow! ok that looks great, its for sure a great system
Good times. Glad you didn’t break your camera😂 and I’m crazy…crazy like a fox.
Hahahaa! Just make sure your safety line is REAL secure!

Can I use this as a mount on my front windshield exterior as a dash cam for my Sony A7SIII?
DAAAAAVEE 🍻
Abhijeeeeeet! Okay, now you have to try to rig up an A7Siii on your motorcycle👍
@@DavidManningvlog my anxiety will probably give me a stroke before I can even see the output 😂
Have you got micro vibration? I am using similar setup but not happy with vibration on it
Do you recommend snap mounts or this quick release system for go pros?
SUPER 👌

Nice video as always. I think your Aura link is missing? And you need to do waterpark and theme park gear. Like for Gopro.

Cool stuff. Tether the camera, not the suction cut or legs. If all fails at least you should save the camera.
I think the rig would all stay together, but that is a solid idea!
How fast were you driving?
In the very last shot at the end of the video, I was going 50mph😬
They don’t sell this at BH?
Amazon or the Falcam site👍

WHY NO LINK TO THE SYSTEM?????

The visual on that is hilarious🤣

Bet you put some sort of filter on that expensive lens before the drive.
Absolutely! Had a PolarPro VND on the front so that if a rock popped up, it would take out the $250 filter and not the few thousand dollar lens🤣
What is the name of this car? How much does it cost? I see photographers like to carry their equipment.
The name of the van I’m driving? That’s a sprinter van👍
@@DavidManningvlog thx .
I rather use a gopro for peace of mind LOL
Man, the difference between how I felt with my camera outside the van and my GoPro outside the van is so vast🤣
