Heard sound in colors. Can you imagine Jimi telling engineer Kramer "more purple or less red during the recording process? Kramer, himself has told that story!
Well, I think it was more like trying to translate the sounds he heard in his head, while sounds and colors thing was expressed more the lyrics, take 'Bold As Love' for example. Cheers
This is a great series I saw Jimi Hendrix when I was 17 years old he was bigger than life he looked like he was 10ft tall on stage confidence and a rare raw talent flowed from him into the audience I also saw cream, grand funk, John mayall & the bluesbreakers iron butterfly, little Richard a bunch of others i thought Ginger Baker was going to fall over dead while he played Toad with everything he had Mark Farner had unbelievable energy and talent The blues brakers got a little boring little Richard was super charismatic iron butterfly big hit was in-a-gadda-davida so everyone was just waiting for the drum solo these bands were great but jimi was almost spiritual i would never say he was spiritual but almost you had to be there
@johnslota761 if you also like to listen the song “Belly Button Window” you might want to check out my Solo improv on it, or the rare Capricorn Tape version of the song on my channel.🎸🤘☺️ peace
Although "influential " in business, Mike Jeffrey was a corrupt, criminally aligned monster. He's saud to have a history and ties to British Intelligence and various "Mobs". It was a "Deal with the Devil". I read Chas openly regretted it. I don't think we can imagine the frustration he may've felt after years as an itinerant Sideman on the "Chitlin Circuit " while Learning, paying dues, was a vital education. Bottling and repression of his talents, compositional skills is maddening to think about. I love the recognition of Jimi's charisma, politeness and charm. He was extremely mannered in the old school sense. I read he was extremely clean, taking, several showers daily. Another Great Post My Man. Ive read so much and find your info refreshing.
I love your series. Cant stop listening to it. Its nice to finally hear the truth about everything in his life. He deserves everything your doing for him
Never a dull moment, though I do not subscribe to the 'murder' scenario. The theories are plausible, but I subscribe to: Occam's razor (also known as the 'law of parsimony') Essentially, when faced with competing explanations for the same phenomenon, the simplest is likely the correct one. It is fascinating and will certainly cover it in detail at the end of the series. Thanks for your contribution.
Thanks a lot for these major milestones of Hendrixian short but sound-barrier breaking journey:through psychedelic aqua&outer space "guitaristic"unchartered landscapes along with fabulous Experience band members! Gorguez
@@BELLY_BUTTON_WINDOWIt's also the industry pressure now but with a massive lack of talent and creativity, but the added pressure of unsocial media 🤷♀️
Some good, detailed info. It was an evil business for many before Jimi and he knew it. The contract payouts to get noticed though showed a lack of faith by Jeffries and a no bad could happen to me backend. Shockingly, later JImi would be getting paid 20X's what others got at say....Woodstock. It's so sad that Jimi died w/only 3 months left on Jeffries contract. Yet, this does emphasize that despite talents, connections played a huge part in ones success or else they would remain a cult artist. Fashion hmmm. He was black, had poofy hair, dressed outrageously but was a musician. So, the ladies were interested and helped accessorize but he was street smart from his time as a young black man playing through the Chitlin circuit and learned when to lay low. But psychedelia and swinging London gave him an opportunity to almost-LOL-fit in. At 8:15 Mitch's hair looks like a big screw-up but hey with Jimi and Noel it fit well. **Lots of good stage shots here. Shockingly I have never seen many of them.** Pirate radio back then must've made the kids explode in joy. Great movie too. Yameta. As the band progressed and the fame and travel increased those damn contracts caused great stress and divided the original Experience. The seeds were sewn but at this time, still in the early days... they were excited, exhausted and ready for more. Good job.
Would Jimi b bullied in to staying with Jeff Jefferies ? He got gun shots shot threats to play the Harlem gigs .Although he was friends with the infamous Frank (American gangster) film.About heroin being smuggled from dead USA soldiers from Vietnam then sold in Harlem .
@NolanVoid-dr1ch notice I said the word " inspired" . There are good tailors in the "ghetto" . And yes American pimps in the ghetto dressed in unconventional clothing that was pretty colorful similar to Jimi's sense of gaudy and unconventional clothing style.
I’ve watched a few of these in the series and have found them great to listen to… But I have to ask - is the voiceover done with AI?? I just keep hearing the odd mistake and mispronunciation, or the same word pronounced differently in the same sentence? I’m not knocking it, if it is AI then it’s getting pretty incredible.
@@BELLY_BUTTON_WINDOW wow that’s amazing - all the more amazing that I had to ask and wasn’t really sure… It sounds very very good. I just heard a couple of words that were out of context that a narrator would probably not have done if he were human! Impressed with that. How do you get the AI to sound like it’s exclaiming certain parts of sentences or speak as if it’s quoting somebody? Because those parts sound slightly different... Do you have any “editing“ that you do at all after its rendered a first draught? I wonder how many people on here realise that they’re not listening to human!?
Its awesome. How jimi managed to find information on atlantis and now everyone on youtube os researching the tartarian empire proving the theory. Hey my friend. As I recall, Cream attended a Hendrix concert, and then later that evening Jack Bruce, the bass player and principal singer/songwriter for the band, inspired by Hendrix's performance came up with the, now famous, 'Sunshine of Your Love' riff. Cheers!

Maybe the way Jimi dressed in the late sixties inspired the way pimps in the USA dressed in the seventies!
No, Jimi had his own style and sense of it early in life.

Yes and No, the African Americans were doing it way before. But Jimi taught the whites how to do it!
So they were signed by
