Mine are staying on .I’m replacing my switch tomorrow but would it also mess with my front blinker as well ? I replaced my blinker recently and when my break lights stay on the blinker won’t work on the right side
@@dymonemurphy2218 the brake light switch shouldn't interfere with your front blinker. That's an odd one! But if the brake lights are staying on, the switch should be the problem.
Just replaced the brake booster on my 2014 camaro and having the same issue with the light staying on. If i slightly put some pressure on the bedal the lights stay off but if i press more it comes on which is what its supposed to do but if j remove pressure conpletely the light also stays on
@EddiesCustomsandRestorations thanks I'll change it this weekend. One question tho... Will I need to take the car to the dealership or a mechanic to recalibrate the new brake light position sensor?
Looks sooooo much easier on your car then my grand prix gxp. I can only reach with one hand, sensor falls down whenever i try to add the 7mm bolt. My back / ribs are killing me.
Will this also fix if it’s just one side my Camaro driver side taillights stay on I checked the wiring is too the pigtail fuses are good too and bulbs but it still stays on
The bad switch will stay with the lights on either the car be sitting off at home, driving or in any state regardless if there is a person in the car or not.
@@rafaelmendes4964 you probably just have bulbs out if it does this when you apply the brake. If they are staying on while you are outside of the car you have a short to ground at that light more than likely
Nice job of actually showing how the brake light switch gets installed.
Thank you!
Seriously!!! THANK YOU 🙏🏽!!
You're a beast, boy fixed it with one hand lmao
Lol thanks man!
Very good video. No BS and straight to the point.

@@ISILENTNINJAI yea the switch is definately bad. Same thing would happen to mine.

@@ISILENTNINJAI nope, you won't need to take it. The switch is preset and will work as it should as soon as you replace it.

Lol try starting the bolt in and then giving it the twist after while the bolt is still loose and then once you align it, tighten the bolt. Try that.

Hmm thats very odd. Try disconnecting the switch ONLY and see if the light turns off
Is it the same for every car
A lot of chevy vehicles will be the same around the same year range. Just look under by the brake pedal and if its the same layout it's the same.
So does the bad switch make your car think the brakes are on while you are driving?
The bad switch will stay with the lights on either the car be sitting off at home, driving or in any state regardless if there is a person in the car or not.
Mine is lightining only half of the brake light.. im not sure where the problem is.
Do you have the LED lights or the ones like mine?
Like yours
