Yuzuriha is my spirit animal! Very confusing at first, but WOW there's some CRAZY cool combos. I love all the different extension options, and the stance mechanic is challenging, fun and rewarding. Excellent character design. Strong anchor potential

Man I love how they preserved the UNIEL cast's ability to go back from heavy to medium attacks, really adds a lot of complexity into this game

Was a bit tough at first trying not to mash out B too many times and remembering teleport locations but it isn't so bad. I would say don't worry about loops just yet since you can do good damage without them.
Using Chad (Yu) and Yuzu, you can easily get around 11k from a 4 bar cross combo. Even better Yuzu has some really good assist that make it easy to loop cross combos with her the main one being a faster(?) ver. of Azrael's 5P. I should try to incorporate some loops into it all later but landing the jAAB is surprisingly tough. But in the end use whatever works for you. Still all information is good information. Keep it up Charmin!

Nice work! Honestly I was worried how she’d change from UNIST to BBTAG but it seems she’s simplified but still tough to work with lol. I’ll probably just try and see if she’s for me
I think she feels great, but never tried in UNIST
She's simpler but it's kinda hard playing her in both games because of how stance works in UNIST
As a Unist yuzu main, ir really sucks how simplifyed she got, the thing that make her fun being her stance Is completely removed and her combo potential Is so little optimal, god i hate this game
That charge stance in this game really reminds me of Mist Finer. I'll likely try Yuzu. She seems a little weird, but I could probably understand her with more time.

I was worried about that too but man it only took a few hours and the hard stuff didn't feel hard. She's not that bad imo. You should give her a try if you like her

Give it time, you can stop holding the button after a short charge so sometimes I didn't hold for very long depending on the input sequence.

@0:41-0:50 how do I connect the jAAB after doing the 2CB? The enemy mostly whiffs or ukemi. I can't seem the connect the B on the jAAB. Does it have a timing or something?
Very timing dependent, I remember having to hit the buttons in quick succession if you preformed the combo like other characters where you took your time it would have potential to drop
Pretty sure the first combo does the exact same amount of damage with just 236BBB ender. You can also squeeze out about 150 more damage by omitting the 3rd hit of the 5A autocombo because the extra 4 hits reduces your scaling too much.
Man, it really is kinda painful seeing all these super cool combos still be worse or just barely better than 5AA > 2C>2B>5BB>jc>jAA>jAA>236BBB, which does 6146. That link from 236[B] into 5BB is sexy af and I'm going to lab that purely for mental damage from style points.
Yeh not all the combos are super optimal as you are seeing sometimes you just gotta go with some styleeeee lol
It's funny I bought this pack simply because it had Akihiko in it, I had no idea who the other two are, but i figured I would at least see what they are about. Lo and behold I find a girl with a Sephiroth style katana doing crazy Iai quickdraw and I have barely touched Aki in my desire to lab the living hell out of Yuzu.

After the jump cancel how do you get AAB to connect, cant seem to do it
It's a tight window that you need to practice. It'll come. I had trouble for a while for sure.
You can also do 2CB + 5BB + j.c + jAB + 236B...however doing it for the loops means your might have to sacrifice losing the 236BBB ender (you can get j236AAA instead)...but you can always call an assist to pick up the damage you missed out on...which isn't much

Timing is super tight for that. You gotta hit it a lot quicker between the launcher and the air part.

No but the ones I face online do the side switch a lot which is not a true combo (unless they just suck at it)

Yo thanks for the video. Didn't realize you could teleport in mid air after 236B with 4B. On the ground and stuff do you have any suggestions for the teleport after 236A/B/C?
They all seemed to do the same damage so I really spent my time exploring the wall bounce/air juggle parts. I'd imagine most of the moves you'd use for positioning sake.

Great video! I just have one question before I get to the lab. What does charge mean and how do you do it?
Just hold the button down. So to learn what that looks like, use her 236A just in neutral and you'll see she goes back to her normal walk/run/neutral stance. If you do 236A then hold A she'll enter this samurai stance with the weapon sheathed and she'll walk all slow. This enhances her moves so the charge is causing this stance to be active. Once you're in the stance you can release the button and you'll remain in the stance until you do something that exits the stance. BTW!!!! That stance AUTO dodges all projectiles INCLUDING touga. sooooo yeh

The execution window is tight, her JC is super fast compared to other characters so best advice is to speed up
Hey Charmin Ultra! I've been trying these combos for awhile and I just can't land the last "B" in her jumping "aab" to 236B/A combos. Do you have any tips?
Its a height and timing thing, I had to hit it very very quickly so its faster than most characters air combos.

I look at these combo and think how the hell do you execute that much input while under pressure in a real match I always whiff combos cause I can’t remember long inputs and I tried tactics but even when there showing me I mess up
It takes time, thats why the vid has some simple combos in it. Stick to simple easy to remember stuff and build into your own unique set of combos. No one keeps every combo variation in their kit but they typically have 5 or so combos that thye do REALLY well
I can't get the Yae Ichirin to come out when I do 4BBB for the ender.
You have to be in stance for the special ending.
I just can’t seem to nail that combo at 0:31. I can do everything else easily, but it seems impossible for me to get that last 236B. You got any tips, man?
The j.AAB before the 236A(charge) is the critical step to finish the combo. It's height specific, if you aren't at the right height then you still get the wall bounce but you dont recover in time to land the 236B. Focus on that

EX Gambler They work on Ragna, the combos are just kinda tight.

Button translation for pc pls?
Buttons are the same. A,B,C,D are all buttons used in the tutorial for the game. The numbers indicate directional stick position. It's based on a keyboard numpad. 5 is considered neutral stick, 4 is back, 2 is down etc. Let me know if you have more questions

The numbers are the direction of the input based on a keyboards numpad and always assumes player 1 side. 5 is neutral, 2 is crouch, 4 is back etc. The A,B,C,D are the games normal buttons you'd see in tactics or the tutorial. JC is jump cancel. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll be happy to answer.

So special cancelling is where you cancel the active frames of a normal into a special move. I think with Yuzu a simple example is 5AAA > 236A. Jump cancel is where you cancel the active frames of a normal into a jump. So 2CB > jc > j.A etc. Does that make sense?

It enhances her moves and makes them startup faster. Thats why you see so many "Charge" notations is because it's the only way to make it work.

Her specials are almost fullscreen so you can poke into stance and you can end most of those combos in stance as well. Basically feels like you should be in stance MOST of the time. The mixup is the teleport

Don't forget to have the teamwork gauge at max and of course you know to max out the special gauge at 9 after you enter Resonance

Both your team and the opponents team need to only have 1 character left alive. If you have 1 and they have 2 you can't astral.

There's no notation for DP in the vid at that timestamp. Can you give me a better idea to what you're missing I'll try to help you out

If you do any of her 236 motion moves WHILE sheathed it gives u that follow up. Thats why u see a lot of the combos require you to "charge" so it'll put you into that stance

Charge just means hold the button down don't just press it. You can change her stance outside of a combo so try it out youll get it

What do you mean by the input 2cb?
The numbers represent a numpad on a keyboard and give you directional input, the letters are the buttons to the game. For example, 5 is neutral 2 is crouch 4 is back etc. This notation always assumes player 1 side of the screen. "2CB" means crouch and hit C then B

It's further shorthanding it, aside from the multi button supers you can treat 5AAAA as 5A > 5A > 5A > 5A. Just makes it shorter for the video

I’m no competitive player, but I really feel like BBTAG has the perfect blend of fun factor with technicality and practice-factor to keep me engaged, and I really love this game because of it :-)
MadCyantist yea don’t get me wrong it’s a fun game but for the people that are coming into this game seeing their characters being so simplified is sad to see.
You get to focus more on game mechanics and spacing than a complex input sequence. Which is better? Idk. It definitely appeals to someone like me

I find it boring. It has a simple, even rhythm and is in a common/unobtrusive key, but what I really have a problem with is the cute, friendly-sounding instruments. For a character who uses iaido I want to hear a koto and a shakuhachi!
