I almost had an aneurism seeing the fraud have the perfect setup for a free burst bait, the Axl had literally no other option but to burst, and they still fumbled. I have half the time played on Strive as this dude but even my awareness isn't that bad.
This is the type of person who plays games to try and make people angry on purpose as a way to make up for a lack of any personality traits. Probably why they play May too, they think throwing out Dolphin for the 5th time is going to send their opponent into an anger spiral meanwhile they’re just making an ass of themselves.
You'd think someone THIS hungry to win at all costs, spending so much time cheating the floor and rating systems just to have a huge rank while exclusively fighting fresh installs would just... play a single player game.
Up dolphin spam is probably the worst habit you can have. Usually new players jump and mash air buttons and with May you can get tons of damage that way, but something went very wrong with this troubled individual who instead chose to use his anti-air for poking, punishing, skipping neutral and even combos (the 3x up dolphin into wallbreak was just brilliant). If you're a May player and you use up dolphin for anything aside from a couple of optimal combos, anti-air and risky pressure reset in the corner (which a good player can stuff for half your life bar), please don't. Try it and you'll quickly find out why you shouldn't.

That name was familiar and it turns out I played this guy and got 0-3 when I was a worse player. Despite being a may player, I hate fighting other May players because I find them annoying 😂. I wouldn't mind if you went over one of my matches as I am terrible and would like to get better. This video makes me feel bad about losing. Great video btw

I disagree, I'm sure you're fine for your rank. Even if you're not if you just reached it by playing normally I wouldn't worry at all. Being good comes down to many things, good conversions is just one of them. Everyone has shortcomings in their gameplay, be it decisionmaking, managing resource, defense, offense or conversions. It's fine, keep on grinding!

I was actually shocked (though I probably shouldn't have been) when I saw the steam profile, because I recognized it. This person is SUPER salty about A.B.A.; I've had a conversation with them about the A.B.A. vs May matchup and they were saying everything about her was broken, and even if I tried giving them advice on how to counter specific things, they would basically just go "well yeah but what I did X instead? I would lose then!". Like they didn't understand that you can't just do the same option and have it work in every situation. They even started saying stuff like "A.B.A. gets all of this but they nerfed May. If May had this move people would riot". I half thought that they were just trolling, but now that I know they are pulling this crap in the tower, It has to be genuine. Anyway, great video, thanks again!
That's some rough stuff. I had a similar experience with a dude regarding Anji. He complained every which way about spin and I shot back with "dude, it's frame 10 with 9 recovery. It's not that active". Got blocked afterward but I'm just glad I'm not in F7 anymore.

When you're doing the damage routing, make sure to show the same character at the same health they were at the beginning of the combo that could've been used because the damage is different depending on how health they have because of thier guts rating and something else
5:58 While yes that was a very unoptimal combo, the optimal would not have had a chance of killing. While yes Axl has low guts, guts still is guts I just checked in game comparing the healthbars, Axl was easily around 50% HP
lmfao I played against this guy a week or two ago in a mirror match and my rank 600 may (at the time) was able to take a game off him (still went 1 - 5 but we take those)

as a veteran May who can usually only plays at 1-2am (almost exclusively park games) I felt my butt clench when I saw the color 9 May. Surely I don't play enough tower for this channel to take note (sometimes the floor 10 lobbies are the only players online during those hours on west coast)
Don't worry, it's pretty much impossible to end up here unless you farm on purpose, the rating losses when playing on F10 are way too high to reasonably reach a fraud worthy Elo!

My true elo is probably somewhere around 1900-1950 but I haven't done the tower grind in forever. I just play because I enjoy the game and am grinding towards the #1 May by wins on the Strive ladder.
Watching him to 2K->2D->S dolphin is painful. Very little reward and return to neutral against Axl. Like please do split off H dolphin or Beachball to keep pressure going

Honestly, it's not bad, but if you only know homing jump routes then that is bad as the higher you go in GGST, the less likely you are going to hit uncharged dust especially without a proper setup. In my opinion, learning your base wall break combos are much better

The main problem with homing jump routes is that once you start playing better players you'll stop being able to hit them and charged 5D will become a meme option. I was also kind of poking fun at how they don't know a single normal route (the ones that you actually have to do all the time) but instantly had a semi optimal homing jump route on hand.
