Millennium Force is shown in the thumbnail although not in the video, but actually does have a notable Hollywood appearance. She actually appears in the end scene of "This is the End", being one of the many glorious amenities of Heaven.
Surely there’s a ton of other examples, too! I’m recalling when the Hulk at Universal was used in the opening sequence of House on Haunted Hill (1999).
Ring Racer (Nurburgring) was seen in the 2023-movie "Gran Turismo" --- Rutschebanen (Tivoli Gardens) is seen in the Danish movie "Forever" --- Some Cedar Point's coaster are seen in the background in the movie "Swan Song -- In the movie "Red Rocket" they ride "Boardwalk Bullet" (Kemah Boardwalk)
Yeah it was just one weirdo. Never said why he was targeting roller coasters. He was some Disgruntled industry former technician or designer… it was a good movie with all those roller coasters.
King's dominion was also heavily featured in the film roller-coaster with the park's racer 75 coaster (formerly known as rebel yell) being featured prominently.
As a kid in early 1970s Atlanta, I remember the old wooden rollercoaster you call The Greyhound but we called it The Rickety Shack (Death Trap). Never rode it, I was too young, but watched it whenever we attended the Georgia or Southeast state fairs. It sounded and looked terrifying.
Revolution was also in wonder woman TV series, and National Lampoons vacation. The big apple las Vegas is in CSI and CSI Vegas. Another coaster, now gone, that was in Long Beach, made a few appearances in TV shows, most notable Leave it to Beaver season 5.
Dorney Park in Allentown, PA was featured in 1988 movie "Hairspray". 2007's "Bring It On: In It to Win It" used the defunct "Dueling Dragons", called "Double Dragon" in the movie, before the Wizarding World conversion changed it to "Dragon Challenge" in 2010. Parts of the roller coasters in Six Flags Over Georgia are seen in 2018's "Hell Fest" and was used in Fright Fest promotions and haunted house features.
It’s hard for me to watch the distraction of an iconic roller coaster. There is so much life in a wooden coaster and so much history behind them. The joy they brought to some many people and them only to be erased by their destruction. It’s like they are forgotten. 😢😢💔💔😞
Not a film obviously, Kings Island was featured on an episode of the Brady Bunch with the characters famously riding The Racer. Some have said that this episode of the Brady Bunch had a significant impact on the renaissance of rollercoasters in the late 70s
A couple more I can think of are, first,,the Racer at Kings Island in a Brady Bunch episode, and Giant Dipper at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in Killer Klowns from Outer Space.
I need to watch Our Lips Are Sealed. Not for the coaster footage, but because there was an ad for it on some VHS tape i had, so i need closure on how the twins escape after the goons are told to "turn them into shark bait" in the trailer.
Not gonna lie, I've actually been warming up to the coaster crash scene in Final Destination 3. Is it dumb? Yeah, but I don't really blame the movie itself for all the "oh I'm scared of roller coasters" crowd, that's honestly just people being stupid. It's just a movie lmao
Dragon Coaster at Playland in Rye, New York makes a brief appearance in the thriller movie, The Hand that Rocks the Cradle. Also, not a Hollywood by any means, but the Intamin hypercoaster, Thunder Dolphin, makes a number of cameo apperances in the background of anime due to its proximity to the giant Tokyo Dome arena. One example being in Episode 1 of Oshi no Ko. I'm sure there are other shows that feature it, though.
Final Destination 3 was rated 18 in my country but they let me in despite just being 14. I noticed however that I was way too young watching this because my heart was beating so fast during the coaster scene. It scared me so much.
I believe the coaster in Leave It Beaver Season 5 is the Giant Dipper from San Diego known as the Belmont Dipper since the show was filmed in Los Angeles..i could be wrong though
Nerdy coaster enthusiast here. Cyclone Racer at The Pike in Long Beach was the coaster used in that Leave it to Beaver episode. Sadly the park and the coaster were torn down decades ago.
Another really interesting movie for Coaster Fans is the German 1996 Made for TV Action Thriller "Adrenalin". I don´t know if that one was ever released with an English dub, so it might be even harder to find a copy of it outside of Germany than it already is to find it to begin with. That being said, this movie is interesting because about half of it was shot at Phantasialand. Since the movie was made, pretty much only 2 things you see from the Park are still there: The then still new Mystery Castle can be seen in a few Shots and among other scenes, the climax of the Movie was shot in the ride- and backstage areas of the Parks Indoor Coaster (Back then called Space Center, later rethemed / renamed to Temple of the Night Hawk and Crazy Bats), including shots of a part of the rides actual Blueprints and a control Panel that shows the entire Layout.
6:12 He didn’t inherit the blank check! The guy who gave it to him gave it to him because he ran over his bike. The reason the check was blank, was because the guy was a wanted criminal, and he was in a rush to get out of there before the police came. The kids assumed identity was Mr. Macintosh. And he wrote the check for $1,000,000.00
Got a classic! 1978 movie starring maybe the most popular rock band of all time! The Colossus at SFMM. Give up?? Kiss in Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park!!
From personal experience riding the Corkscrew at Playland 26 times isn’t as good as it sounds. The Corkscrew like all Vekoma looping coasters results in head banging occurring during the ride. While the Corkscrew at Playland was considered to be one of the smoother Vekoma coasters head banging on that ride was still a common occurrence. The Coaster is actually a far smoother roller coaster than the Corkscrew. Simply put while I would enjoy riding The Coaster 26 times in a row I would not enjoy riding the Corkscrew 26 times in a row. I could probably ride the Corkscrew 5 times in a row, get off to rest for about 10-15 minutes & then get back on for another 5 rides in a row(repeat until filming is done).
Millennium Force is shown in the thumbnail although not in the video, but actually does have a notable Hollywood appearance. She actually appears in the end scene of "This is the End", being one of the many glorious amenities of Heaven.
So your saying, I can ride millennium force forever in heaven, WHERE DO I SIGN
Surely there’s a ton of other examples, too! I’m recalling when the Hulk at Universal was used in the opening sequence of House on Haunted Hill (1999).
The CGI used on Corkscrew as Devils Flight is absolutely gorgeous
The blown up wooden coaster (The Rocket) in Rollercoaster was later actually blown up for another film called "The Death Of Ocean View Park" in 1979.
Silver Bullet at Knott's Berry Farm was in the movie Knocked Up.
Incredible Hulk Coaster in The House on Haunted Hill. And also whatever coaster was in the movie Summer School.
The scene in House on Haunted Hill is such a fever dream to watch. And I love it for that.
It is not a group of terrorists in Rollercoaster. It is a lone terrorist played by Timothy Bottoms.
Yeah it was just one weirdo. Never said why he was targeting roller coasters. He was some
Disgruntled industry former technician or designer… it was a good movie with all those roller coasters.
Let’s not forget Encino Man which featured Viper at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
Also featured in Space Cowboys.
& True Romance
@@BiancaBombshell how could I forget about True Romance

The roller coaster scene is one of the reasons why Final Destination 3 became my favorite of the franchise. 😊
My home park has two famous celebrity coasters.
Revolution and the OG Colossus. I am proud of that status.
Revolution was also in wonder woman TV series, and National Lampoons vacation. The big apple las Vegas is in CSI and CSI Vegas. Another coaster, now gone, that was in Long Beach, made a few appearances in TV shows, most notable Leave it to Beaver season 5.
Roller coaster the movie also featured rebel yell, racer 75.
And not to forget the Kiss Movie
You mean the legendary Cyclone Racer?

You forgot The Incredible Hulk Coaster at the 1999 remake of House on Haunted Hill.
Don't worry, I didn't forget any - a sequel is on the way. The video was just long enough as is.
I'd enjoy seeing a sequel video to this one! ...Let's be real, santa monica pier alone could probably fill out an entire video by itself.
It’s hard for me to watch the distraction of an iconic roller coaster. There is so much life in a wooden coaster and so much history behind them. The joy they brought to some many people and them only to be erased by their destruction. It’s like they are forgotten.
😢😢💔💔😞

both Magic Mountain and Wild Adventures were in Zombieland
Ok first 20 seconds had me in stitches, haha good lad. Looking forward to the rest of the video
Not a film obviously, Kings Island was featured on an episode of the Brady Bunch with the characters famously riding The Racer.
Some have said that this episode of the Brady Bunch had a significant impact on the renaissance of rollercoasters in the late 70s

The second Vacation movie featuring Blue Hawk was not under the National Lampoon's umbrella, but did use it's characters.

I watched vacation yesterday and i fell across this youtube video, funny haha

I ❤ the Revolution at Magic Mountain.
Fun fact - big dipper (the old one) also was a part of one of India's greatest romantic movies : "Dil Chahta Hai"
I believe the coaster in Leave It Beaver Season 5 is the Giant Dipper from San Diego known as the Belmont Dipper since the show was filmed in Los Angeles..i could be wrong though

Cyclone Racer at The Pike in Long Beach was the coaster used in that Leave it to Beaver episode.

The corkscrew at Vancouver was also featured in diary of a wimpy kid dog days
Only showed it briefly but Viper at SFMM in the movie Space Cowboys
They should relocate Iron Wolf to the backyard of the Biltmore Estate.

The coaster that derailed because of the bomb in the movie Rollercoaster was destroyed as well for the movie "Death of Ocean View.

Omg! Encino Man??!?!?
I don’t know if anyone mentioned it but national lampoons vacation was John Hughes and not Harold ramis
Hughes wrote it, Harold Ramis directed it
Forgot Incredible Hulk in islands of aventurine in Orlando Florida.
Used in remake of House on Haunted Hill.
Don't worry, I didn't forget anything. Sequels are coming
Canyon Blaster in Baby Geniuses
At least the guys who made Vacation went on to make two much better films in Game Night and Dungeons And Dragons: Honour Amongst Thieves.
Top Thrill Dragster is in the terrible movie "Close Encounters of the Fourth Kind" IIRC. You get to hear and see it launch.
