The thing I really like about this channel is that it brings father-child relationships back to what they used to be when we were kids growing up. This is the polar opposite of sitting around and playing on your phone all day. Bravo.
You need to add the wings on the back. Then you nailed the book. Truly building the most remarkable memories one build at a time. Not just memories but teaching never to give up, power of friendships and how it takes friends to help build things and the power of laughter. You are inspiring. Both you and Heidi. Never underestimate yourself. You were destined to create this channel and keep us entertained for a reason. Heidi was right and she will always be. Happy wife happy life. Cheers. Congratulations on the roller coaster 🎢 and the book.
@spirals 73 Gen X here. Well... we didn't have a roller coaster, but we weren't locked out of the house either. What our generation had was unsupervised play; we weren't put out of the house but we could do whatever... just be home before dark or for dinner, and don't break any laws. That's the sum total of the limits our parents placed on our free time. It's sad that your dad wasn't around, but at least you got to experience the same kind of freedom. Kids these days have none of that, they have no idea... We had a good dad, even if he was often away from home for long periods of time (being a Navy man). He made us toys, beds, desks (at the time my parents couldn't afford store bought), a soapbox racer, and we'd help him build it all. And of course we got to use his power tools as well.
you know what is sad too though... people that do not have money for a house to have a backyard to build something like this :/ I am one of these people sadly but man would I love to build this!
"Remember that time dad built a roller-coaster in the back yard and put you in the tube to test it and you fell out and broke your arm and mom was ready to divorce him".
I LOVE: That Theo, Juno, and Otto helped while Kelso supervised. That you made every neighborhood kid’s dream come true, in addition to your own. That someone at Lowe’s told you to your face what so many of us know in our hearts. Heidi holding her breathe, with the mama bear stare, while Theo went down the coaster ❤❤
Just so cool that you share your creations with the whole neighborhood. All of those kids looked like they were having so much fun. Thank for sharing with us as well.
It’s my way of teaching our kids to share. Obviously what I do allows them to have and experience some pretty cool things. I want them to always be thinking about how they can share what they’ve been blessed with.
Taylor, you are the epitome of the old saying, 'Any man can be a Father, but it takes someone special to be a Dad' you, Sir are one of the finest. Blessing on you and your great family, your three munchkins are going to have great memories and stories to tell their own grandkids.
OMG.... I'm a 62 year old retired suburban woman in California, and I LOVE how you inspire me! You dream big and pull it off! What a joyful life you give your kids, neighbors, etc. This is AWESOME! (Heck, if you can build a roller coaster, I can build a greenhouse right?!?)
You never cease to amaze me. You are the father every child deserves. When some fathers don't grow up, it's a bad thing, when other fathers don't grow up, you have a roller coaster in your back yard.
Taylor, I’m from Sioux Falls, and one of my childhood theater camp summers, I remember you as one of the counselors. After meeting you, it’s amazing things like this roller coaster that make an impact on everyone you meet! And - speaking 10+ years later - I can say you make an amazing impact wherever you go! Keep being awesome 🎉🎉
I’m 67 and still a huge fan of roller coasters. You and your friends did far more than just build a roller coaster in your backyard. You created.everlasting memories not only with your own children but an entire neighborhood as well. It just warmed my heart to see all those happy faces outside. When was the last time you saw a group of kids together playing outside with the sounds of happy voices filling the air. Now days kids are inside 24/7 glued to their iPods, iPhones, computers and video games most of which are solitary tasks. Kids become isolated, withdrawn and fail to developed the social skills needed to navigate successfully through life. So kudos to you and your friends for creating a small piece of paradise in your backyard.
My dad built me and my brother a treehouse when we were kids… people I grew up up still talk about it til this day, and I’m 34yrs old. He passed away when I was 16, this video reminds me of him.. great dad 💪🏽💯
Thank you for showing your struggles. And sharing at all. You do inspire. This just shows not every project is perfect. And hopefully you can continue to add more setback in your videos. I know you, you can make even that fun and entertaining. And when it's tough, please continue to show that. We are all human. Sending so much love
I love how you said a dad stop you and let you know the impact I just want to give a shout out to Heidi because she impacts me to be a less less of a worry wart and have complete faith. love you guys so much. This was the best buying the book right now !!!
I had pre-ordered the book and immediately read it to my kids yesterday when it came. I was wondering after reading it if you were actually going to do this roller coaster to go with all the other awesome stuff you do. Just like the dad in Lowe's man, you are an inspiration for us all to be better, love your content man.
This video is very emotional for me because I can see how much you love your kids and want to give them the best childhood you can offer. I have 3 kids of my own and I want to give them the best childhood possible. That dad you met in the street is right; you're an inspiration as a father! ♥
Your generosity, kindness and ingenuity and creativity brings me to tears. Not only do you affect the people around you, but you make my heart sing. Go Dude Dad and gang!!!!!!!!
What an AWESOME Dad and an AMAZING human being, you are giving your children a great childhood and you share the joy and fun with other kids, the world needs more people (parents) like you. Thanks for sharing your great videos with all of us 🙏🏻🤩👏👏😊💜

As a coaster enthusiast, I approve. This is awesome. If only you could add a banked turn and one more tiny bunny hill before the spike, it would be one of the best backyard coasters for sure. Also the engineering and smoothness seems to be some of the best from what I can tell. Looks like fun, even for adults
I can't help but say, even though I'll never have a roller coaster in my back yard, seeing those kids (and adult's) excitement really put a huge smile on my face.
This made my heart sad and happy. My father wasn't the type of father to do joyful things then, but he is now with his grandkids. This is so wonderful and I am just loving what modern fathers like you and your buddies are up to, and what you and your wife do with this awesome channel. So stoked the kids will always remember you for your joy and genius
Funniest line “I need a bigger truck this is going to take several trips” favorite part is when you talk about running into the dad and his kids at the store. You made some awesome core memories and showed your family how to not give up. You rock!
I'm not even jealous - I've just resigned myself to living vicariously through you guys! - I draw the line at BUILDING A ROLLER COASTER IN THE BACKYARD!!! 😂😂😂

Great work, great video!
Hey DudeDad, I watch as much of your videos as humanly possible, and I am always making sure to share with my friends. You literally are the all American dad… You are inspiring and I appreciate your videos. This rollercoaster is the coolest thing I have ever seen. Great job and the attention to detail and safety is a big plus. Keep it up.

If your kids ever decide to have kids. You are going to be the coolest grandpa ever! Of course Heidi will be the voice of reason & then get the snacks and watch.
What should we build next?! Comment on this thread 👇
How about a zip line
Hows about a propeller-powered glider??? 😅
Trebuchet. Launch pumpkins or something
Splash pad? Perfect for summer!
A water slide! Then the kids are set for summer! 🤪 just basically you should build a backyard amusement park. 😂
