@@GearboxPizza Yup, Canoo's marketing is weak, Ford did it better, there was a black out it seems, the house was all lighted in orange and yellow then there were power tools being used, it has composition showing it's strength but I think the marketing today, coz' of the housing problem in LA (many now convert their cars as their mini homes), what LA does, the world follows, Fisker, Canoo especially should be showing off their kitchen accessories- that what everyone wants to see, the stove on Cybertruck. I think it has to do with people wanting to go in an adventure after being monks for 2 years now. I've always tweeted Elon, Canoo, Fisker & other EV about their marketing. The "killer app" for Cybertruck is if could open as a sliding door through the wall below the back window, so I and everyone can sleep outstretched with the back cover on to protect from muggers but I'm guessing this might weaken the chassis in a twisting motionbut I tweeted Elon that- deeply pray & fast they do it :-)
Your Canoo vids are awesome. I put a deposit down on one today....I don't doubt once they get legit backorders and supply chain issues are back to reasonable these are ripe for a solar roof.
ahead of production.. uhh they promised subscriptions and vehicles on road by end of 2021.. now they ditched sub model, and are targeting eoy 2020.. hopefully they can keep that "promise".. also one of their larger outside investors global holdings ltd dd sold 10,500,000 shares for $68.5 million.
I hope they do a more traditional rear seating option. I don’t see how the jump seats are practical, comfortable, safe or legal. I’d be curious to sit in it.
The sad thing about the Canoo is it's a really cool truck. I love it so much it's the first thing that could push the Cybertruck off the top of my most desired list. Still needs a ramp. Unfortunately, the manufacturers are nothing but a bunch of frauds sucking up VC money with no intention of ever delivering.
Interesting vehicle. With the latest updates going out to 2025, I wonder at what point in production some sort of profit might be realized? There's a lot of EVs trying to 'make it' and not all will.. the profit factor determines possible success.
I didn’t see much of the van in this video, but the one where it was featured for delivering packages. The rear door is not the most ideal. I think it should be make to function like a gull wing to opens and closes the way Tesla suv does. But just the rear door.
I think their going to need more mileage out of all their vehicles I hope they will add a additional fuse box for extra lights, that a Individual can add more lights like a light bar or Appearance lighting, without cutting into factory wiring, that one or a company can just run wires to a box that could work with break lights or turn Blinkers I myself, like LED lighting not to much, but just enough to be seen, For the cargo van, I think Canoo needs to looks at those that what to build there own CCV CARGO CONVERSION VAN like Mercedes Sprint vans, Looks like it time to invest just a little bit more, I'm thinking Wall Mart, UPS, FEDX and others like them will get on board, I'd really like to see the United State Postal Service pick Canoo and I think we'll make some $$$.$ with this one Seeing if they keep it all in house production, No company is going to drag up from another country to rebuild a factory, I'm thinking its like jumping out a completely perfect good airplane So the only way we are going to get new manufacturing back in the states is from new Businesses not old and this looks like a winner to me hope they follow through
Dude solid take.. Lots of wisdom here. Agreed on a lot, would be very cool to have an optional longer range battery, even though it can get expensive (look at the F150 Lightning). And yea, lot's of potential and I think they're going to make it and their valuation is super cheap right now.. time to average down perhaps!
The pre-wiring is not going to happen, it's too easy to splice into wiring to add it to production cost of 100% of vehicles for the 1-2% that want to add a light bar.
I live right next to the new Walmart headquarters they are building. Canoo will be basically on campus. I know a lot of head people in Walmart and I can tell you that Walmart has big plans. I have already bought 130 shares of canoo and put a deposit down on one
This is the only EV to be presented that has got my attention. It’s practical and like you mentioned it looks like they are thinking about the second and 3 owner which in my opinion is crucial to sustainability something the big companies have lost touch with. My biggest concern is safety I’m just not sure how crash testing is going to stack up
Just imagine Walmart becoming the next Amazon. They already do your shopping for you and bring it to your car. Rather than relying on apps like Doordash, they could just deliver your groceries to your house thenselves... I really like this company... Hopefully they can get their costs down enough that they can actually be affordable to the masses. It seems like they're trying. It would be cool if the batteries were a little easier to be replaced, tho. Then, it would truly be something that could last basically forever. Battery tech will start evolving more rapidly as more and more EV's are being produced. Having a swappable battery could be a gamechanger... It would also be awesome if you could do it yourself as the consumer. Most people probably wouldn't want to do it themselves but they could if they did. I just hear people complaining all the time about Tesla, John Deer, Apple, and others making it as difficult as possible to repair their stuff... But this could really be the future of upgradable, modular vehicles...
Im deciding between a Canoo and an Aptera. The canoo is much more roomy which I really like, but not very good range. The Aptera is much smaller as it’s a 2 seater, but much more range, and solar charging so you’ll never have to charge it rwally
Thanks for sharing. The standard parking space or garage in new apartments in France are only 2.5m wide x 5m long, which makes it impossible to park most minivans. I wonder if the Canoo would fit (with a reasonable ~40 cm on one side). What are the dimensions?
Like the 1960s VW minivan commercial said: "we start with a box"! Now, what I want is a Canoo that is set up like a VW Westfalia camper van, complete with a pop top, which I have owned two of. They are not to to big or two small, you can drive them and park them daily, anywhere, no matter where you are, you have your portable motel room with you at all times. Making EVs look like conventional petro vehicles is where other manufactures made a big mistake, I have always said to make EVs look like the old VW vans and turn them into studio apartments and when self driving gets here you will have the perfect vehicle for long or short distant driving. The first question Cops ask about self driving cars was: "how are we going to ticket/arrest the driver for being intoxicated"! Well you don't stupid! Yes, I am a Canoo share holder and have been for some time now!
The idea is smart cost saver, though some details need improvement (front seats base, where is nav screen? horn?) Range is not acceptable, I would rethink Chinese LFP batteries supplier, Panasonic is inefficient solution.
Is the body Plastic or Metal? If I'm driving through a lightning storm, I want to be in a faraday cage. Where do I put the Fossil Fuel Power Plant, for traveling unusual distances?
As far as i know, there's just the one main discord Canoo server.. Flying Nimbus is a Canoo genius and regular on discord and reddit.. we collaborated on this video, and by collaborating, he's basically responsible for all the info.. a stellar dude by any measure.
@@GearboxPizza Check also the amazing, adorable, cute affordable, Microlino EV (4 wheels not 3, thankfully- not a fan of 3 wheels but it may be too expensive coz' Honda Brio is cheaper & Toyota's Migo too, the gas savings may not be significant at that weight class but the Brio & Migo are more practical. I wish the Microlino was just US$5,000 but that would be their 3 wheeled Microletta which I wish just had two. I also wish the Munro's new Aptera had 4 wheels).
Seven! Holy crap, I had not heard of the Microlino... it's basically an electric BMW Isetta, which is amazing lol. Going to be looking into this big time, how fun -- really appreciate the heads up on this one my dude!
I got to say, I could see myself getting the truck. The only thing I'm concerned about is head on crashes. I want to see more data on this. I've lived through one head on with a young girl who was texting and If the Nissan cargo van wasn't built like a tank, I'd be dead!
Not viable until the range is 600+ miles for most commercial applications. If loaded with either tools or packages range will suffer then if in northern climates another major reduction in range. The average delivery will travel 300 miles or repair service operation 250 miles a day. My van holds 2700 lbs of tools and parts winter can be below zero. I need to know I can go 300 miles and make it to home base. I would have to leave 1000lbs of stuff out as it is with canoo. I can’t then limit my range for work.
I think anytime Tony goes out in public the first thing he should hear is, "You know Cybertruck's gonna have a ramp. That alone makes every feature on your vehicle seem like garbage. Bet you wished you put in a ramp."
Rather than the cookoo for cocoa puffs interiors, I'd rather just have options for where I can put seating/other interior fixtures. Also would be nice to have some options for driver/passenger front seats. Like I could pick a bench so my honey could slide over, or some very basic, inexpensive but durable seats for commercial use/economy. Some more luxury seats that are larger and let me sink in would be nice. Make sure to have some big and tall seats able to handle heftier customer's size and hold up well under what is likely to be rougher treatment. Etc.
Over one year later, has any of these Canoo vehicles been sold and delivered to the Public in the USA! I don't seem to be able to locate a Dealership or Distributor to people!
Is this the Biggest Scam that has ever perpetrated on the world! I have still not seen any vehicles delivered to Wal-Mart for delivery vehicles either!
Steer and throttle and brakes by wire is another way to say you trust the government, Google, Apple, your neighbors geeky computer kids next door and software updates,,,,, with your life….. what could go wrong?
yea, don't blame ya Brett.. as much as im hoping that Canoo can get er' done and in a timely fashion.. there's an awful lot that can go wrong and delay things considerably. Having said that, I'm very optimistic! -- you thinking model Y?
I’m looking at my alternatives … Model Y is tasty but VW has an alternative as does Aptera, if you like living on that line between vapor and reality. ☺️
Rumor has it that they're working on a sliding door version, although that'll likely be for commercial purposes.. but who knows, maybe it'll become an mainstream option at some point.
@@GearboxPizza the main reason the sliding door is very practical; when driver and back passenger open the door at the same time with a tightly parked car beside you both get blocked in. Also very hard to get out from back passenger when car is parked too close beside you. Speaking from a Honda Element user
This video was made 1+ years ago. If Tony Aquila purchased 35,000,000 shares for $230M, today Canoo shares trade at $0.75 - it means that those shares are now worth $26M and that he has already lost $204M. Ouch!
In the Jay Leno they had a very ridged and depressing design. Car was a lease only, black only, and single design vehicle. Now with little change it seems like they totally rejected that idea thank goodness.
Yea, so glad they got rid of the whole subscription thing for sure.. and they've been busy since the Jay Leno video, which is getting a bit old i think. Thanks for the comment broski!
@House Yo, I hear ya, and so did Canoo.. the subscription thing is dead, you can buy or lease these just like anything else, which is great news for sure!
... Ok, now watch any Dashcam / Bad Driver / Tesla Crash video compilation and picture yourself driving this with the seat right over the front bumper.
This comes across like it was made by a CANOO share holder. Why did you put their ticker symbol? I think this is ugly and everyone I've shown it to thinks its ugly. Which is exactly why it's NOT like Apple products at all. Apple made something with the iPhone that people had to have. it was a status symbol. People saw it and could see themselves with one. This is more like the VW Vanagon, loved and adored by a very small group, but too utilitarian to appeal to the broader public. Car ownership are still all about status.
I get your point about the Apple comparison.. And I appreciate your opinion about it's looks, but there's plenty of people that actually love the way it looks.. I happen to be one of them, and yea, it'll likely be sort of a niche vehicle, but thats fine. -- I put the ticker symbol in the title for a few reasons. People are interested in the stock, and I wanted to provide general info about the company, not the stock i.e. no crazy charts or predictions about the stock price, just solid info. Secondly, I'm sure you noticed that this is a tiny little youtube channel, and lot's of hours have gone into it with ZERO pay. I'm just trying to get some eyeballs man. If adding the stock symbol to the title bothers you, well, sorry I guess, but I'm going to leave it in there. Thanks for the comment though, appreciate your point of view and hope to see more. Yea, it's totally fine to disagree, we're all car guys right? Have a great weekend man!🤜
Is there a van whose looks you do like? Probably not. Form follows function. This shape allows most interior space with least footprint, weight, most range, etc. Add to that the potential to update the canoo by dropping a new body on the skateboard for a lot less than buying a whole new car, and lots of smart people are going to dig the whole concept vs. the "I don't like its looks" type.
@@gadgetsage I dont think Canoo is going after the van market. they are marketing it as a "life-style vehicle". but on the topic of vans: Porsche Vision Renndienst = Way better looking Ford Electric Supervan = Better looking Personally, there are a lot of vans/lifestylevehicles i like better than the Canoo. Regardless, we will see who is right when it makes it to market.. Assuming it doesnt go the way of Nikola and Faraday Future
@@Chithappens1995 yeah but you're missing the whole point: the incredible value and price, and the possibility to actually buy such an advanced platform for such a reasonable price. Those "vans" you mentioned... Are "vans" in name only, aren't in production and never will be, and are not vans to begin with. They are pretty art though. But would I ever go car camping in them? Not in a million years. I AM excited to be able to get an incredibly ADVANCED van that can work as my houses battery, free me from the high price of gas, and be a survival tool, status symbol, and prized possession.
"11K virtual crash simulations," simulations being the key word here, unfortunately. My questions is simple, how many actual miles driven? VCS's means NO actual miles driven. Just asking.

Dude, thanks Robert, and agreed... i think they've got a winner, and love the solar roof idea man!
I love it!
ahead of production.. uhh they promised subscriptions and vehicles on road by end of 2021.. now they ditched sub model, and are targeting eoy 2020.. hopefully they can keep that "promise".. also one of their larger outside investors global holdings ltd dd sold 10,500,000 shares for $68.5 million.
Great recap!
Shame it's not coming to the uk, it's a fantastic looking truck.
Fantastic! Thank you!
The boxy van should a contender for the next generation U.S. Post Office truck.
I didn’t see much of the van in this video, but the one where it was featured for delivering packages. The rear door is not the most ideal. I think it should be make to function like a gull wing to opens and closes the way Tesla suv does. But just the rear door.
Awesome video, you should ask for canoo to pay you... Subscribed!
HEYO! Welcome to the party my dude! Good to have ya
Also, I clicked a link in another video that took me to canoe's website to put down my deposit, you might look into that
Good look'n out.. will have to see what thats all about!
Love it!👍🏻🇸🇪
Why haven't they released the specs on this awesome car, like weight? Would love to know that.
I think their going to need more mileage out of all their vehicles
I hope they will add a additional fuse box for extra lights, that a Individual can add more lights like a light bar or Appearance lighting, without cutting into factory wiring, that one or a company can just run wires to a box that could work with break lights or turn Blinkers
I myself, like LED lighting not to much, but just enough to be seen,
For the cargo van, I think Canoo needs to looks at those that what to build there own CCV CARGO CONVERSION VAN like Mercedes Sprint vans,
Looks like it time to invest just a little bit more,
I'm thinking Wall Mart, UPS, FEDX and others like them will get on board, I'd really like to see the United State Postal Service pick Canoo and I think we'll make some $$$.$ with this one
Seeing if they keep it all in house production,
No company is going to drag up from another country to rebuild a factory, I'm thinking its like jumping out a completely perfect good airplane
So the only way we are going to get new manufacturing back in the states is from new Businesses not old and this looks like a winner to me hope they follow through
Dude solid take..
"I think their going to need more mileage out of all their vehicles"
You may add extra battery packs for a longer range in this vehicle.
You said there new building is located next to a wallmart facility. How do you know? Do you have an address?
There's tons of good info on the reddit page, www.reddit.com/r/canoo/
I live right next to the new Walmart headquarters they are building. Canoo will be basically on campus. I know a lot of head people in Walmart and I can tell you that Walmart has big plans. I have already bought 130 shares of canoo and put a deposit down on one
Oh thats awesome Ryan.. We're big fans, you'll have to keep us posted as to what you're seeing over there!
@@GearboxPizza will do. Pretty excited about it
Looks like Walmart is buying BrightDrop EV’s instead. Any reason to believe Canoo and Walmart have a deal besides moving right next door?
This is the only EV to be presented that has got my attention. It’s practical and like you mentioned it looks like they are thinking about the second and 3 owner which in my opinion is crucial to sustainability something the big companies have lost touch with. My biggest concern is safety I’m just not sure how crash testing is going to stack up
Good design good function
Share price has dropped , is this a good investment ?
What a great Car
Amen bro.
Im deciding between a Canoo and an Aptera. The canoo is much more roomy which I really like, but not very good range. The Aptera is much smaller as it’s a 2 seater, but much more range, and solar charging so you’ll never have to charge it rwally
Canoo has a slightly higher chance of not being a fraud than Aptera.
Hi love your channel, could you do a deep die into XOS last mile delivery vehicles.
Thanks so much Larry! And I'll start looking into XOS, don't know much about them.. thanks for the suggestion pal!
I'm really interested in Canoo
That U of Madison ice cream is amazing but steer clear of strawberry.
I need to watch this today. 11/1/24 Because the price share dropped$ 0.68
You didn't mention the UPS delivery truck contract with CANOO?? Did that fall apart??
Does it float? Does it come with paddles?
No paddles.. not sure if it floats, but im sure someone will answer that question accidentally at some point.
The idea is smart cost saver, though some details need improvement (front seats base, where is nav screen? horn?)
Range is not acceptable, I would rethink Chinese LFP batteries supplier, Panasonic is inefficient solution.
Is the body Plastic or Metal? If I'm driving through a lightning storm, I want to be in a faraday cage. Where do I put the Fossil Fuel Power Plant, for traveling unusual distances?
I have a reservation for the P/U- Also hold stock
What discord server are you referencing? Who is FlyingNimbus, got a link?
As far as i know, there's just the one main discord Canoo server.. Flying Nimbus is a Canoo genius and regular on discord and reddit.. we collaborated on this video, and by collaborating, he's basically responsible for all the info.. a stellar dude by any measure.
First of all designing and making your own components and parts in house means one thing. Expensive.
When cani i get one in Canada and why is it 35 instead of the 20 that that was originally.
Just realized that with the skateboard anyone who loves classic car look but want modern electric can just latch it on the exterior.
Thats the dream
New follower here.
Love that Seven, welcome to the club my dude!🤜
I like the one that looks like the armoured money transport
I got to say, I could see myself getting the truck. The only thing I'm concerned about is head on crashes. I want to see more data on this. I've lived through one head on with a young girl who was texting and If the Nissan cargo van wasn't built like a tank, I'd be dead!
I would love to test drive one. I need a people mover/equipment mover.
I gotta have it ❤🔥!
Their platform and the Bolinger B1/2 are the only ev's that caught my eye,the B1 is nice but way too expensive.
Etc.
Nice video n very informative
Appreciate that bro!
Over one year later, has any of these Canoo vehicles been sold and delivered to the Public in the USA! I don't seem to be able to locate a Dealership or Distributor to people!
Is this the Biggest Scam that has ever perpetrated on the world! I have still not seen any vehicles delivered to Wal-Mart for delivery vehicles either!
almost got 1k shares, hoping for the best
to the moooooooooooon!
A square steering wheel, really! Who though of that.
That seems like something to capture the hearts of teenagers which is to say men
COME ON CANOO! Stroke stroke stroke!
Nice vid. I want one!
Thanks broseph, I want one also!
Stock dropped under $7 while watching
Good time to get in. Their market cap is like 3 bil? Which is peanuts compared to LCID or RIVIAN
Steer and throttle and brakes by wire is another way to say you trust the government, Google, Apple, your neighbors geeky computer kids next door and software updates,,,,, with your life….. what could go wrong?
Usps should look at it
So when do you think consumers, that put down a Benjamin, will start getting their new Canoo ?
Potentially as early as the end of the year, but sometime next year is far more likely... unless you're way up there on the waiting list!
@@GearboxPizza Guess it’s Tesla then. There are too many other choices then waiting for vapor.
yea, don't blame ya Brett.. as much as im hoping that Canoo can get er' done and in a timely fashion.. there's an awful lot that can go wrong and delay things considerably. Having said that, I'm very optimistic! -- you thinking model Y?
I’m looking at my alternatives … Model Y is tasty but VW has an alternative as does Aptera, if you like living on that line between vapor and reality. ☺️
Im suprised noone has mentioned he sounds like bruce (hulk)...
love it..if only they could change their suicide door to sliding door
Rumor has it that they're working on a sliding door version, although that'll likely be for commercial purposes.. but who knows, maybe it'll become an mainstream option at some point.
@@GearboxPizza the main reason the sliding door is very practical; when driver and back passenger open the door at the same time with a tightly parked car beside you both get blocked in. Also very hard to get out from back passenger when car is parked too close beside you. Speaking from a Honda Element user
Ah, thats a good point man.. also, the Honda Element is so underrated. Always loved that thing, good on ya' bro!
Perhaps you meant 200 stop/start per day
If I subscribe to u now, I will be an all-time supporter when u hit 1 mil
Sounds like a plan my dude, sub away! But yea, forget 1 mil, I'd be thrilled with 1k!
Panasonic is no longer Tesla's biggest battery supplier. CATL is.
Love the video, but at some point in the last 10 or 20 years, everybody seems to have forgotten the meaning of the word "unique."
Thanks man! But I promise you, if you watch a handful of videos, you'll find plenty of words that I'll most likely massacre. Like plenty.
....If people can't afford it ...They won't buy it ...That's Rule #1 (nuff said)
I like it but not a fan of the subscription idea. I dont like the idea of forever car payments.
Perhaps you meant 195 W/Km
Over 2 tons!
Well yeah, my cmax is 3600 lbs and it's basically a small 4 door hatchback
Have a great weekend man!🤜
@@GearboxPizza Yeah, I feel ya my brother.
@@gadgetsage I dont think Canoo is going after the van market. they are marketing it as a "life-style vehicle". but on the topic of vans:
Porsche Vision Renndienst = Way better looking
Ford Electric Supervan = Better looking
Personally, there are a lot of vans/lifestylevehicles i like better than the Canoo.
I was right. No deliveries. Stocks under $1.
"11K virtual crash simulations," simulations being the key word here, unfortunately. My questions is simple, how many actual miles driven? VCS's means NO actual miles driven. Just asking.
Canoo Pickup Truck EV
My kingdom for a Canoo Pickup Truck... so it's not much of a kingdom, but still.
Canoo is a clown show. There are thousands of paying pre-order customers that haven't heard one word from Canoo ever. I Being one of the. Yet some how Walmart make a deal like yesterday and already has Canoo vans to drive???? And how and why will Walmart get deliveries before people who place orders years befor??? Like I said clown show.
Could be a case of if that Walmart money didn't come in you'd never get a canoo, so...
