I've been wanting Canoo to succeed since they had the concept come out a few years back. Now seeing it this pre-production model, I absolutely want to see them get this done. This is a fantastic idea all around. So many use cases and such incredible practicality. If they price this right it will change the industry.
Yup, been a fan for a long time. One of the few makers really taking advantage. of the modularity that electric and electronics makes possible.
I love everything about the Canoo... except the powertrain, which is, unfortunately, garbage, according to their website's stats. Range of 200 miles, Charging speed 20%-80%(120 miles) in 28 mins (Teslas get 100 miles in 10 mins). It could work for in-town transit, with a fast-charger at home-base, which is what they're mostly aiming for, it seems. But definitely disappointing, in that regard. Hope they make improvements to efficiency.
Mass production - the usual problem. I just don't trust them getting it done.
Definitely agree 💯
@@CHMichael Any particular reason why? To my untrained eye it seems like they have very simple solutions to the traditional problems. I'm not sure they will be a 1 million vehicle per year company, but they seem to have a lot of things figured out for a fairly low-labor assembly.
These would make the COOLEST little campers. I'm rooting for them. The truck version looks so cool.
They were doing a larger body version as well.
Not sure if that's delayed to get a product out.
@@rogerstarkey5390 That would be great. I'm here for a camper too and a slightly longer body would help. (and they have to come to the UK and I have no idea how long that is going to take).
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.
Fantastic job Canoo!
Back in the late '60 I had a VW Campmobile. It was fun and the truck like driving position made me feel half blind when I drove my wife's regular car.
This Canoo blows my old Campmobile, and the new VW van, out of the water.
If Canoo doesn't bring out a camper version I'm sure other companies will be lining up to covert Canoos into campers.
Forreal ❤️
Canoo can’t sell the pickup version soon enough. The pickup is EXACTLY the vehicle I have been seeking. Congrats to Canoo founders, designers and engineers. This vehicle is a home run.
What old is new. Check out what VW had in Europe for decades! abandowest.files.wordpress.com/2016/01/1-dsc_0360-volkswagen-pick-up-1968.jpg
same here, i hope this doesn't end up being more vaporware.
i like the pickup. when, how much?
They won't sell to consumers .. only fleets and robo taxis is their plan..
@@jimhofoss9982starting price is around 40k or more. They will probably sell the top end $$$ American Bulldog version first; to fund expansion and production. No word on when yet.
Really glad to see that Canoo gave second-hand ownership a lot of thought, considering both upgradeability and repairability, even to the point where individual battery packs can be replaced in the event of a crash.
Hopefully more electric car companies will follow suit; I always believe that there should be no conflict between high tech and repairability; it's just the industry standard holding it back, it's time for a change!
Wow, the entire second owner concept is astonishing. Doesn’t usually fit in our current corporate model. I see good things for this.
Yeah Tony is building for the client not just for the market. I suspect he avoided University …
I own a 16 year old car and who knows which owner I am
I don't think this is correct. Tesla is already in the business of upgrading their cars. I am already way happier with my Tesla simply because one year after I bought it it did not become obsolete because the new model has a tweaked infotainment system and there is no way for me to upgrade without using shitty 3rd party stuff like Mercedes did. In fact I already have one computer upgrade under the belt. I expect a camera upgrade and another computer upgrade at some point as well.
It would however be interesting if Canoo can truly make it so modular that I can upgrade the drive train, battery, seats, everything over time and constantly be getting a refresh of some part that wore out to the latest version.
@@dirkbester9050
Re the "modular upgrade"
.
I've suggested that's what will happen with the Tesla Taxi Fleet
*They* (or maybe a company they buy? ..... Hertz?) will run it.
Eventually, they reach "peak vehicle", (250-300 million is only 12-15 years)
At that point, with batteries outlasting the shell, vehicles come to a refurb centre for:-
Full diagnostic.
Body off.
Interior removal.
4 new suspension units.
New interior.
Body on.
Replacement panels if required.
New wrap (no paint)
Diagnostic/ alignment, etc.
Out the door.
.
This will be in a few of the old Gigafactories (or a small area within the closest location)
.
Removed components (suspension units, seats, etc) will be refurbished in house ready for the next vehicle.
will be refurbished.
The majority of floorspace (some compete factories) will be repurposed for .... Bots? Energy products? and other things (I think housing).
So do I - in fact that's one thing many people are looking at when they buy new vs. used - the technology might only be a year or two old but it "feels" old and the chances to update /upgrade it isn't impossible but almost might as well be.
I seriously want Canoo to bring these out, I love the design. Its so different, so out there compared to what normal companies make. Canoo has a really interesting product and I think it can be very successful if they keep the price down and the options/quality up. If this thing could get 300+miles and be 25-40k it would sell very well .
Doesn't need 300+ miles just needs to have the NACS built in and sell for $40k
I'd call it an adult minivan, but its a great design for families too. This thing crushes everything else in practicality. I am certainly tired of the lack of leg room for passengers in sedans. At $40k, why buy an EV sedan over this? SUVs don't even offer this legroom.
@@johnnymonsters9717 Definitely needs NACS. Most charging is at home. Stick with the connector that is the most user friendly. Sell a NACS to ccs adapter like tesla for the times you want to use a ccs charger that still hasn't added a NACS cable alongside the ccs cable. CCS will all be NACS within 5 years. Once one major company switches to NACS, they will all do it in quick succession (except gm).
Wal-Mart is funding it. It will be their delivery vehicle.
I think that it will be closer to 40k than 25k for base price, but still think it will be good value. I knew there was a lot of flexibility, but I had no idea it had this much. Will probably have an enormous aftermarket as well.
Canoo has got a winner. This needs to come to market ASAP. And don't go the dealer route, direct to consumer.
They've reinvented (and vastly improved) the VW bus. I like it.
I think this is what the word "WOW" was designated for. Very rarely in the automotive world something comes along that breaks the continuity and this is one of these rare moments.
I'm surprised you didn't know about them before, they've been around for years (2018?)
I have been cheering on the success of Canoo since seeing the concept. It is fantastic and seeing them getting this close to production is exciting. I think if they can pull this out and start delivering vehicles and maintain their level of quality they will have a real winner. Canoo has the potential to revolutionize an entire market segment. If they can make it to market they will have a check with my name on it.
Perfect! We will finally have an EV that is practical for so many different users. Grocery getters, camping, travelling, delivery wow. An EV with the emphasis on range instead of 1/4 mile times! Well done.
This level of engineering deserves to succeed - I hope it does well
The engineering is kinda where it breaks down, actually. Terrible powertrain. Range of 200 miles, Charging speed 20%-80%(120 miles) in 28 mins (Teslas get 100 miles in 10 mins), and no reliable Charging Network. It might still work for in-town transit but not more than that. To get less than 2/3 the range of a Model Y, with the same size battery pack, and when the Y is surely heavier, and then charge at less than half the speed... Not good =/
@@catbert7 I think your comparing apples to oranges a little, a model y is built and designed as an SUV, a single purpose, whilst the Canoo is a van platform engineered in such a way to be potentially produced for multiple utilizations. Sure you can get 100miles of range into a model y in 10 minutes using Tesla level 4 charging stations - that is the beauty of Tesla they make EVs and provision a charging infrastructure. Why would Canoo over engineer the dc charging system when the charging infrastructure doesn’t exist to support it? Is that the fault of the vehicle itself? I can’t say much about the overall range of the canoo but 200 miles of actual range would be respectable for the pack size, the wltp figure for a model Y? You might come close to it on a good day…. Occasionally
@@catbert7 teslas are boring. and how much is a model Y 70k? lol
Engineers are funny, only they can logic why the door cupholder is at floor level. 😆
I’ve snickered over the looks of this thing. Now I have mad respect for the Canoo executive and this homely vehicle! Nice work Sandy!!
You have to appreciate how quickly Sandy saw the Dymaxion's essence in this genius vehicle.
The conversation going on here is exactly what I have said for years…. Bout time someone built something that the consumer(s) want rather than what they want to sell you! AWESOME! 👏
One of the best things about EV's is that designers are humanizing cars. Now, making a car from the ground up wheelchair accessible is just truly amazing, thanks for that!
Tbf even many vans and small European cars are surprisingly wheelchair friendly. The fat American cars obviously aren’t
Awesome as Andy! I didn’t realize how far along Canoo was. Thanks for update you all.
Our pleasure!
I want one, imagine the camping possibilities!
Mitsubishi Delica vibes.
22:38 rollover test incredible!
As a (very small) shareholder of Canoo I am very happy and re assured seeing this.
In fact this the VW IBuzz are the only electric vehicles I would ever consider.
Well done guys and all the best !
Same here 👍🏻
Sandy in just a few minutes enabled 10's of thousands of new orders for the Canoo van/suv/drive-train. I had a chance to see the delivery version similar to the one in the factory made for Walmart here in Bentonville, Arkansas. full width pull out sliding drawers for plastic delivery bins, lots of room, great ideas. Seeing the replaceable battery modules seems like a great idea. Tesla might disagree with their newer sealed and part of the frame battery. Canoo has, up till now, dumped lots of money into prototypes but needs to get what seem like good ideas into production with something that is reliable and lots of them. Following Teslas' growing pains, I wish Canoo much luck. That factory didn't look anything like the Giga-factory they will need.
I thought Tesla would do a pre moulded plastic/ foam blank like that with the cells press fitted to provide structure. I don't think their current "blown foam" is really elegant enough, expecting a mk2 improvement.
@@rogerstarkey5390 I agree! I am assuming that you would be able to use the HVAC system in this vehicle when not driving, so having this as a boondocking RV-ette would be a great idea!
Prototypes and invention is hard. The factories and production can be done with enough capital investment. They have thought through things so the road map is easier, especially the map for production.
They need contracts. Will build out the factory to suit. Tony seems very attuned to the needs of the military. He’s done his research. The gov’t contracts will give them both cash and time to ramp.
I’m waiting to see a test mule rolling around Bentonville. I’d love to see this company succeed.
Im more excited for this EV then any others by a mile.. Its such s great design for my needs. Nice review Sandy..!
Sandy is THE man. Straight talking. Informative. Entertaining.
Rooting for you guys at Canoo, seriously think this will benefit the world.
Great to see some updates from Tony and Canoo, so much potential!
The vehicle strikes as incredibly well conceived, engineered and built !!! Great job guys.
This is far closer to the rib taxi than most people think.
In fact, I'm going to bet many will say Tesla copied Canoo. It's simply logical.
@@rogerstarkey5390 rib taxi? Did you mean robotaxi?
For awhile I thought only Rivian and Lucid had a chance of making it, but seeing the ease and simplicity of this vehicle I feel like they could truly make it. Love this van!'
I preordered the pick up. Hopefully a bench seat is an available option. Can't wait to get mine!
I LOVE the window on the foot level. It reminds me of riding in a snow cat one time. They have Floor to Ceiling glass and it's AMAZING looking out that window!! More vehicles need this, if it can be done in a way that it won't break all the time... haha
It's a cool idea. Just need to train yourself to not use that front storage area, or you lose the sight lines
@@deansmits006 I wonder what they'll do about the human propensity to fill up every space. If I'm just getting in and out of the front seat I can easily see myself tossing my backpack in there - and that'll be a safety hazard in a collision, especially a rollover.
Maybe something like netting with compression straps/3-point tiedowns (sides & "rear") that'd keep things secure - mirroring the "lounge seating" - & still afford some visibility.
When money was "FREE" so many good ideas came out from new startups like Canoo and others, but when the money ran out and interest rates went up many VC's backed away from these companies. This vehicle is truly unique and like others have said has multiple uses. I really want Canoo to succeed and bring this to life because it is such a good looking MPV. This would be a dream vehicle for "Van Lifers".
You're talking like it was 100 years ago. Money is still cheap and VC is still strong.
It would be a great vehicle if they improved the powertrain. Not good =/
Waxing poetic about 2018 is...weird.
If the pickup version was 20k or under for a base model, i'd consider getting one for around the house and yard work.
@@88conquesttsicanoo is out of money. They burning through cash. Their stock been tanking and now at $1. They produce nothing for people that deposited 2 years ago.
Whether they stay independent or get bought out, getting more vehicles like this out in the market is super exciting.
Incredible how someone can say with a straight face that they focus on usability and safety while designing the dashboard to be touch only. There's literally research showing how physical buttons are safer. Car looks awesome but I really hope they either redesign the dashboard or offer some kind of physical modularity.
I agree
Touch screens are much cheaper that all the design, engineering, purchasing, sourcing, tooling, manufacturing and assembly of physical buttons and everything connected to them. I hate touch screens.
"Muscle van, NOT a mini-van".
~ Sandy Munro
Canoo needs to make a shirt with that. It is going to be their quote of the decade. ❤️
Been such a fan for years. Always a company that seemed scarily ambitious. Didn’t think they’d get this far, but oh man, just like Sandy said, even with all I knew about the vehicle, I am blown away at how capable this thing is. So many great surprises from this video.
Man, I like the van because its quirky as hell! But the military truck version... I want that right now! I love it! And I always talk about how trucks these days are too pretty and make you not want to use them for work because it will get scratched up. I think we need more trucks that consumers can buy that aren't all shiny and pretty. Thats what I like most about this and the cyber truck. You don't have to worry about roughing it up a bit.
wowowow. GREAT design and engineering. So happy automotive industry continues to vertically integrate, this is exactly what I hoped for 15 years ago. Strong work Canoo!
I'm really impressed with this vehicle! This van will do amazing. The CEO seems like he really cares about the company and what Sandy thinks
I like Canoo's vision and design. The CEO they got seems knowledgeable and competent. ALSO, he fills a psychological aesthetic that the brand's image was missing. I think you know what I'm talking about.
Very cool re-thought. Sounds incredible for commercial or professional use.
It is really great when an electric is reimagined to a real functional vehicle. When you can forget the old limits and create new ones, like design it for the second owner. Wow, take that Detroit….
I love how Sandy just vents the whole time. He's not wrong, he just is very vocal about it.
You should have seen his mentor, Deming, for a lesson in "venting", all vinegar, no honey
People pay Sandy big buck for his venting.
Except for that whole "Chrysler is no longer in the minivan market" bit. It's half the Chrysler line up
He's trying to change the industry. He knows they are watching....well respected people rarely take their platform to try to change how people treat others who follow. All these companies whish they treated Sandy better and maybe the next sandy will be treated better and can have huge impact earlier in life.
Sandy you are right … it does look like a Buckminster Fuller’s Aero car ( polarizing esthetics but brilliant design functionality )
I would like to see one done up in a 70's Shagging Wagon style just for fun.
The Pickup with the flat bed was my favorite set up. But they're all great design ideas.
This car is awesome, it reminds me that we are in a planet! I mean, looks like a space rover, being in that car seem like feeling like an astronaut! super cool!
It's tough to take new startups seriously. I thought Canoo was a joke. I was very, very wrong. I appreciate the engineering and design for function. Wow, very impressive.
Thank you for the content.
Their vehicle design is great but you were right in one very important regard: Their powertrain is a joke. Not good =/
Tsla bagholders everywhere lol
Based on how real people really use their cars.
We owned the van put out by Toyota, it looked like the lost in space van !!! It was the most versatile vehicle we ever owned. Function over form and been waiting for someone to make a really well thought out van / mpv. Well done !!!
Wow. Didn't think a van could ever get me so excited. Big congrats to everyone involved. This is what the world needs.
Form Follows Function 👍
As an i3 owner (mostly due to Sandy's 2015 teardown), I've gained appreciation for odd looking designs that disregard style for usability.
This is truly out-of-the-box.
My thoughts exactly. I have a Sharan - it's cavernous, more space than most big SUV's at just 4.85m - Tesla Model X felt cramped (ok, ok, a bit smaller) in comparison and it's 5.03m.
I'm disappointed in humans ditching the comfortable and practical MPV for SUVs. And in European cities, on some alleys and parking lots even 4.85m is big enough.
I would gladly have an iD Buzz or a Canoo (if they make one with sliding back doors) - with 3 little kids and un-attentive grannies - they are a must.
The guy who designed the i3 also designed this one! He’s one of Canoo’s cofounders
@@shmadmanuts Yep. Here in the States we're hoping the ID Buzz (or Canoo) creates a sea change in the popularity of the van over SUVs.
@@wertyuioqp1 I forgot Richard Kim had worked on both. Makes sense now.
This platform has a very special bit of versatility - it's been selected by NASA to be the new Astrovan for transporting astronauts to the launchpad for the Artemis Moon missions. It will be a veer special modification, I'm sure, but this platform should handle it nicely. Bonus: this LOOKS like a vehicle for astronauts to ride in.
great video! I hope so badly that Canoo is going to make it! all 3 vehicle concepts are outstanding! the delivery van is super practical and without fuzz but still very appealing. And 3 concepts have huge potential. I hope the Walmart exclusive is not limiting them.
The last car i recall which focused on innovative ergonomics and utility was the Honda Element. Love the concept. The possibilities for adventure configuration are cool. good luck.
Starting a car company from scratch is such a huge challenge. Huge. Hope they can make it through the first 5-10 years. Good luck!
Exactly " 5-10 years" And 50-100 years to ramp to serious volume. Same for Lucid: dream on...
@@calmorton4619 Of course it is a long shot, but I hope they beat the odds. Same for Lucid (although their odds are dwindling....as we slide into a recession, and the stock market gets wonky, it will be hard to raise new money to cover continuing losses)
They won’t survive with this current leadership team. Way too many micro use cases.. they are all over the map.. jack of all trades but a master of none. (Check out the 2 other suits in the background- no contribution to the Sandy clip)
@@pauldesi ok… 🥱👉🏽🤡
@@pauldesi My thought too. Look at what happened to Archimoto. Lot's of great options and configurations that unfortunately distracted and drained money from the primary goal of getting production going and revenue flowing.
I LOVE that they thought about upgrading the entertainment/sound system.
It's so frustrating to have to print special parts/buy niche items to be able to upgrade things.
This is the electric van i want
Forreal
I love the ute/pickup variant. Shades of Corvair Greenbrier! That version looks like a milspec, I’d snap up a civilian version for sure!
Second owner's perspective! Three cheers. Making endless crap then crushing it needs to stop. Million mile vehicles just have to be the future. Exciting tour. Thank you, Sandy.
Shows what you can do with electric. It opens the door to new ideas, lots of which are old ideas that were turned down, and the new people who want to run with them. The Canoo is a great vehicle. Hope it hits the streets.
I really love how Tony talks about the design philosophy behind their vehicles having a wide array of use cases.
Love the pickup configuration 😍
I love seeing the execs tell Sandy to push it - they know they have a great product and they aren't looking for a fluff piece.
Love their approach to EVs. Hope Canoo succeeds
The looks are not for everyone. But for my generation (1987) and on - more and more tend to appreciate for environmental impact and practicality. It could do great in Europe for given the space at the length of a compact (4.4m)
An actually useful and useable version of the eVW bus
I think the actual ID Buzz short version has more cargo area. Edit: they say canoo cargo is about 130 cu ft, ID Buzz Cargo is 137.7 cu ft so just a bit less unless they where rounding.
@@YKSGuy Interesting. I was wondering which had more space. I've decided to wait for the Buzz cargo long, and live with some junker for 2 years until it's out (or something better comes along like the 105kWh/300 mile sprinter).
@@xxwookey I suspect the efficiency of the long buzz will be much better than an e Sprinter depending what you are looking to use it for. Bjørn has some good data on the short ID Buzz on long highway drives ETC. The shape / aerodynamics matter a lot on these vehicles, as well as the battery systems.
Lol. Ouch, but spot-on. 😉
Agreed, this is much closer to a real spiritual successor to the Vanagon than that ID Buzzkill. Maybe the LWB ID Buzz will be better but I was very disappointed that VW is trying to sell an overpriced, slow, short ranged grocery cart for $50k+.
I loved the concept of designing for the 2nd owner, such a great mindset
The CEO presented really well and looked like he enjoyed the afternoon. Cool looking car.
Canoo, focusing on all the right things.
I like how the back of the military version looks a lot like an old VW T2 flatbed with the fold-down sides. Very functional space.
Posted the same about 15 mins ago! 👍
Edit.
8' bed builders truck??
Reminds me a lot of some fairly recent JDM trucks too, it's like a kei mini truck plus sized.
Awesome video and great product! My congratulations to Canoo and especially Tony Aquila, a rare thing for a ceo to be so involved and aware of his product. Also very good talking points, no bs...a top guy! 👍
This was exceptional. Well done Munro crew.
This looks like a very distinctive, timeless design, the kind that will withstand the test of time because everything is different.
Now I see where a company has put brains into something that will make them a ton of money. Lots of good stuff here!
So far, the only things I had only seen from the Canoo were pictures of the design and the interiors, but after these video, I got mesmerized by the many possibilities this vehicle has!!! My other favourite vehicle is the Cybertruck, but this Canoo van is something out of this world!!!! Thanks Sandy for such excellent video, and the testing you did of this Fantastic Machine!!!!
So opposite in form from the cyber truck. Round all over versus sharp corners and angles. I like the round look
I think the USPS should order these for mail delivery fleet! Tesla should order as well for service fleet until they get a viable EV van for their mobile service. The military application looks cool as well!
I was so impressed with what I saw in this video about a year ago that I bought stock in the company. Now that they are delivering the vehicle, I put in a bid to buy more stock. I am gambling with this start-up like I did with Geely when they went from making refrigerators to making cars in the 1990s. Geely was about the same price as Canoo stock now as when Geely started making cars. For the price of a couple cups Starbuck coffee, you can get a good number of Canoo shares. If Canoo becomes as successful as Geely and pays a dividend like Geely does, then like my Geely stock at its start-up price, the dividends will pay for the price of the shares after 3 or 4 dividend payments. If the company doesn't "make a go of it", then at worst, I am out the cost of several cups of coffee. If it is successful, then I will use some of the dividend money to buy some coffee.
The ramp over and roll over test results are incredible. Not what I was expecting at all.
Great video - thanks!
Hope Canoo makes it - their vehicles are super interesting and definitely unique.
I was pretty well sold on the Cybertruck. After seeing this thing (and especially the pickup version) I’m definitely re-examining that. This vehicle is really, really impressive! A major selling point for me is that the batteries are modular, so that replacing them shouldn’t be as expensive as a Tesla
Perfect utility vehicle for the military, really impressive approach. Minimalism with maximum functionality. Brilliant
Thanks Sandy for the amazing/suprising overview of the Canoo.
Glad you enjoyed it!
The very first time I saw the Canoo design, I thought it looked like a toy.
After a while, I thought it looked aerodynamic.
Today, I am blown away! I want one!
The symmetry of this E-Van is amazing. Learned a few things about cars from Sandy Munro, great video!
Very impressive. It's satisfying to see well thought out design/engineering. Best wishes for your success.
The rear facing seats remind me of the OLD NYC yellow cabs. Some of them had two rear-facing fold down seats, so four or five people, especially a couple with children, could all fit in. It was always a treat to ride in one, instead of a conventional bench-seat-only.
Incredible feature!
Checker Cabs. Manufactured in Kalamazoo.
Unfortunately, sitting in those seats requires that the front seatbacks be leaning forward too much for someone to be sitting in front at the same time.
They do not have seatbelts. They are primarily for tailgating. The side facing seats are the ones with the seatbelts and can be used while the vehicle is in motion.
Amazing episode... I think many outlets are not covering this vehicle because of the look, but functionally, it's really good.
I rather like the look personally... it grows on you!
Absolutely badass.
Reminds me of a modern and improved functionality of a Toyota Previa. Loved the Previa for its massive amount of cargo space while remaining a premium minivan, and this one comes real close in that area. Nicely done. Can't wait to see it in production.
Truly wish them the best. Seems like a well thought out product and a great team behind it.
Very impressive, creative, Innovative and engineering at its best. Love the modularity and scalability. Tony’s words are a gospel to the auto industry. Tony’s thinking of handicapped, diverse application catering to all needs is what the auto-industry needs to learn. Love Tony’s words about think about the second owner, the minimalist but functional, and about the ability to scale, repair, or replace parts. Thanks Munro and Sandy and Tony for this amazing video. This should be
part of every engineering design class
That front ground-level window is an amazing idea - will prevent a ton of low-speed accidents, will help with parking, avoiding running stuff over, etc. But if they don’t make it out of the same bullet proof glass as the Cybertruck, not sure a large, flat, glass panel is going to survive very long. It’s going to constantly be peppered with rocks, some of them large, so get ready for tons of broken “windshields”. And will mobile glass replacement services know what to do with a front-facing windshield like that?
I've really been impressed with the recent evolution of EVs in the market, and it's amazing there are so many out there now to choose from, albeit most are essentially unaffordable to most people at the moment. Canoo really captured my interest the most when they came out a few years back. Then I completely lost interest when they said it would be a subscription only model for sales. Then they came back a few years later and said they'd be ditching the subscription model and selling them. I really would love to have one of these. And I understand Walmart, NASA, and others have placed large orders for these, so I hope that gets them over the production hump and into the mainstream market. Fingers crossed.
BOOM!!! Round of Applause for the show and tell from Canoo. Very interesting build and team putting it all together. I’m pretty impressed myself. Might be a good time to pick up some GOEV stock. 🤔
Would be cool if they made an offroad version that was all wheel drive and big all terrain tires with lots of ground clearance
Yes, yes, yes! And make it for Australia please.
Like a Mitsubishi Delica
The truck version was dual drive (meaning front and rear) and if you notice, the tires are obviously an all terrain style. The stability because of the CG would make it great for narrow paths and hills but without an independent 4 way suspension, even with the clearance you wont be rock hopping.
No reason to say anything bad if it's all good. I hope the seats are well padded. The innovation is excellent.
This is incredible. Love the thought and innovation put into this. Can't wait to see these on the road and for other manufacturers to be inspired by this out of the box thinking
I didn't expect to watch this from beginning to end. You dawgs hit the mark ‼️ Now we can only hope the Canoo can hit the marketplace. Best of luck.
Hahaha poor Eric, getting tossed around in the backseat. 😂🤣
Really rooting for Canoo. A truly innovative, thoughtfully designed vehicle. Amazing!
You sound like a boomer. The average boomer thinks this is so cool I'm sure.
This Amazing boxy shape car is one really good concept of thinking out of the box design.
I'm sure that the car will impact the car industry and moves it forward by quite a margin.
Bravo! Tony Aquila, intelligence and foresight finally comes to EV design. As one who considers practicality first, I see a great deal of thought that went into this vehicle. I would consider purchasing one in the future. Others, like the over-hyped Rivian, do not come close to this. Yes, it's a matter of personal choice. May this come to reality soon!
Wow I love this and I love their ideas on how and why to construct the vehicle.
I really hope this makes it to production. This is so different from what’s already out there and if it ships for a reasonable price it could do well.
I’m super psyched about this vehicle! I have reservations on this and 2 other different EVs and this is by far my top pick! Honestly I hope it comes to market before the others.
Wow!!! I love this vehicle!! The rear legroom is limo like! The length is perfect for my garage and it is unbelievable the space inside for the size of this EV. This reminds me so much of the old VW bus. VW should have done something like this with their ID Buzz.
Your videos always bring a smile to my face. Thanks Sandy.
