    have you ever thought to put a blank canvas under every painting so when it's dripping off the sides it falls onto another canvas underneath? can't help but notice how pretty the paint that dripped off looks on the plastic

      If it falls onto clear plastic, it will dry into a thin sheet of plastic that can be pulled off and used for jewelry, etc.

    I love those colours and like you say it is amazing how using exactly the same paint can give you such different results. I'm just now playing with the treadmill oil having had the spray and think I might like that better but need to do more experiments. Love the way the brown came through the blue in the second one (and loved it before you put more paint on ha ha!). Your paintings are always so beautiful.

    you are sooooo right about elderly people & remote control issues. I'm was constantly helping my mother in law UNTIL. I put tape over her remote & wrote her a cheat sheet. Then for her 80th birthday, her sons decided it was a good idea to get her a fancy laptop.....she never used a computer before. I am the tech person, therefore, I was to teach her. OMG, I aged 15 years. lol. eventually she was set for email and browsing the Internet. lol. I love your kindness, you have a beautiful soul.

    Hahaha, well done Annemarie, a little bit of restraint. I knew you could do it! Your chit chat struck a chord with me as I have had 7 breast lumps removed during my working life, but I have been very lucky in that all have proved to be benign. You have been through a rough time, not just you because cancer involves all your family too. However, you are a lady after my own heart, whatever life throws at you, you stay strong and fight back. Waiting for the worst doesn't bear thinking about, life is too precious for that. It is so important to live every day to the full.
    Stay strong lovely lady, take care in wafting that torch lols, not too much!xx

    I like the second one better, much more complex than the first one. Both beautiful. The first one has an island in the middle and the second one has like a turquoise necklace top right.

    I think you mixed all the leftover paint to make those beautiful ribbons at the end so both silicones would be in them. It is quite beautiful !

    I also liked the design of the second one before you messed with it - The turquoise negative space in the lower center gave a quiet place to rest your eye - I also like the orange in the lower right-hand corner - The finished one was great too - I agree, sometimes too much torching destroys the overall design - Knowing when to stop is hard

      wrong silicone...paint too thin ? When your paint is too thin the silicone escapes very fast and lays on the surface so torching won`t help....let me know?

    By the way.. Rubber boot treatment and care products are often 100% silicone oil. Just bought two different brand products today.

    20:00 Not torching that last piece completely was a good thing (although you never know until you've actually done it). Contrast is important and not having cells all over the picture gives contrast. I like its colors and patterns very much.

    hi. I did my first ever pour today using treadmill silicone. I was very nervous. I liked what I saw except my canvas is showing through some of the cells. did I need to use more paint?

    • @annemarieridderhof
      @annemarieridderhof  7 років тому +2

      No...just a tiny bit thicker....and you can fill in the spots with matching paint dripped from the stir stick or a paletknife.

    Two things. First. You're my new best friend. Second. Since I always use white, is it alright to mix a tube of titanium white,water, and pouring medium and floetrol and have it handy in a jar or bottle?

    • @annemarieridderhof
      @annemarieridderhof  7 років тому +2

      I would only mix paint , pouring medium and store that...then when I wanted to pour add 5-10% floetrol and the silicone.
      But you could try to mix it all and see how it works...I might do that too...not everyone pours every day.
