Just amazing!!!! Thank you so so much for the patience and such a detailed description of everything u do here! My big big respect and love for everything you do dear Annamarie❤️❤️😍😘
I love, love, love this one. I have been on so many other channels but I keep coming back to you for instruction. Thanks, for all that you are teaching us. Hugs
The hole day I see your videos! I am an Artpainter since 45 years. in the evening I start my first experiment. i have had non of your Mediums so I try to use acrylic structur-paste and water , acrylcolor red yellow blue and black. The result of my work was a little diffrent to your works, but absolutly amazing! I thank god that he let me click on annemarie ridderhof! Thank you
Haha!! That IS funny!! You're trying to come up with the word way over there in Holland and thousands of us over here in the US are watching just speaking it out! "OCD Annemarie. It's OCD!"
Just found your channel yesterday and I'm obsessed! I've been binge watching every video. You've really inspired me to get back into my art again. Thank you soooo much and keep the videos coming! 👍😃🎨
First, I love your videos, I have yet to try this type of painting, myself, all I need is the silicone and a torch. I have a suggestion for your dots. You can use any round tipped item, toothpick for tiny dots, the other end of paintbrushes for larger dots, the smaller dowel rods themselves can be used, the wrong end of an ink pen, all sorts of things, but, I applaud your efforts at creating your dot tools, ingenious! I do love watching you pour and seeing the effects!
Hi Annemarie, this is awesome! It is by far one of the best pieces you've made! The cells are very beautiful! I would love to see it whe it's dry... have a great weekend ❤️🌷
Wow! That is gorgeous! I want rush off and try it, but first I promised that I would clean my two rooms that have now turned into studios. Oh yes, and throw in the garage too. Also I must get some burnt sienna that is not opaque. Thank you for everything. ❤️❤️❤️
Cheers annemarie I just love you. you are so open and honest and try to be so helpful!! I am also trying to navigate my why through this you tube world and it's a trick but happy to see if you have not given up and improve with each and every video. It's not easy to comment on my phone so that's why probably first time hearing from me! So just ignore all the negativity and thumbs down they can just move on :) you can't please everyone and who has the energy to try!! I haven't braved a pour yet but i'm almost ready to try after i get some floetrol. just got to do it!!
I used every one of those tools for my dot paintings and they've worked! Make sure your tool never touches the canvas/rocks... make sure the paint is thick enough to create a peak off the tool, but thin enough that it easily comes off the tool as you dot it!
I have a suggestion for your dots. Use the wrong end of your paintbrush. They are different sizes and give you a nice consistent look. I think it's because the tip is tapered. This lets the paint come back up into the center instead of flattening out . Tap into your paint and test. I always test each time before placing. This also teaches you how to to judge your amount. The thickness or height of your paint can change how the dots come out as well. You will need to redip every time for consistent sizing. Another fun thing to do is make graduating dots by continue without redipping. These are great when done in a slight curve. They can be used by themselves or for background. There is no end to the fun you can have! Don't give up. I love your videos and teaching method. Your very easy to understand. I am gearing up to try pouring. I've gotten most of my supplies. Finding a place where I can do it is another quest. My studio is in my bedroom. I am looking into changing my media again. I've been accused of trying everything. Lol. I found out I have macular degeneration and it's not real great for traditional quilting so I do art quilts. I'm looking into finding art that doesn't require a lot of straight lines. I've been wondering about how to get this effect onto fabric. It would be stunning.. and lots of fun. Good luck with dot making and keep creating. Your wonderful! Hugs, Kathy Travis
Hi Annemarie, thank you so much for all of your informative videos. I'm in Australia and I haven't found owatrol floetrol, but I use the flood floetrol indoors and have no problems. I was taught though ,that you should put the floetrol in with the paint first because it's designed to connect with the paint itself. Then add water.
Sylvia Whytcross thank u for your info ... I'm in Qld and was just looking for floetrol and where I can to buy it.. so I'll buy the flood in place off....
Thank you for all of your wonderful experiments! I have been using dots as part of my designs for over thirty years. I use "spotter" brushes, available in a variety of sizes.
Thank you for this very informative video. I'm new to this art style.I'm an illustrator but I have decided to begin to experiment with this very attractive abstract style. I'm really loving this.
Gosh, just when I think you have done the best one yet, you go and top that with a more beautiful one! You are the "Mom of Acrylic Pouring" LOL 😄 I just ordered a banding wheel last night from Amazon. I think it's the same one you have and I can't wait for it to get here. I will start apologizing to my walls, floor and ceiling right now hahahaaa!
I like where I live...on the out skirts of a larger town close to a lot of farm land. ....♥-♥-♥ Thank you so much and Thank you for watching my videos ♥-♥-♥
Yes, thats what the fluetrol does. The less you put in the paint the smaller the cells get. But dont torch to early because the paint will work on its own for 10 minutes or longer. I did a lot of pours whith it. You can use it up to half and half if you want the biggest cells on earth. LOL...I tried it. I use Owatrol because it's very common in germany. I never had headackes or dissieness ever. Even my cat lies under the table while I'm painting. If it stinks or so he would run away :-). Greetings from Bremen
Annemarie re: dots. Use old paintbrushes. Cut heads off sand down flat. All paintbrushes have a larger area that you can cut it at. A meat skewer flat end for the small size.

I love all your awesome pouring videos! thanks for all you do! The trick to getting dip dots all the same size it's to redip for each dot. dip then dot, dip then dot, dip then dot... over and over! viola!
OCD. Obsessive Compulsive Disorders. Where things have to be a certain way. Like for example; super clean. Spending hours cleaning a small area. Or all the same color. Or all the same size. More women have OCD because we tend to be very self critical. I think it’s from society putting all this pressure on women to be perfect. With everything from the tv, magazines, with in our own social groups, art, music. Anything that makes an impact on us, to influence our own ideas of what we should think or be like, is dangerous. I got rid of my TV a year ago, and my cell phone 2years ago. Let me tell you the freedom there is not being plugged in all the time. If there was a way to stay plugged in with out the harmfulness of wifi I would do it. Thanks again Annemarie for allowing us to be apart of your process! I love all that you create!💖
Love your adventurous spirit and the results are fabulous! Don't know if you tried this already for your uniform dots, but nail artists use small dot making tools you can find on ebay and amazon, cheap.
Yes I showed those tools in a recent video...I think they work with the right thickness of paint....I will try again. ..♥-♥-♥ Thank you so much and Thank you for watching my videos ♥-♥-♥
I just can't say enough of how much I love your tuts. I would like it if you would do a tut on the cleaning of the canvas after it is dry. I assume that the silicone rises to the surface. I think I need to see it done, not just said. It to me may be the touch that you use to do this job that will need to be seen. Also the multiple ways we can clean the canvas. I do tend to have a heavy hand, just like my foot. HAHA. I want to know everything before I start. I understand that you are very busy & may not be able to do a tut on this. If you can't I will understand. Your subscribers are growing by leaps and bounds. I am from Michigan USA. I have talking about you to all my Altered Arts friends. Thanks again.
Hi ! The joy and passion you have is truly contagious and although this painting is an oldie, it is one of my favorites. Did you ever give a hometown tour ? If so, which video? Thanks for sharing...
For uniform dots maybe a sponge tip would work made from some sort of make-up sponge. Another idea is to use a rubber stamp dot and archival black ink.
The turquoise gets lost because it is normally a pre-mixed color (especially in cheaper paints) - typically a couple of Pthalos and white. When white has been mixed in with another pigment it will become much heavier and sink to the bottom, just like a white do in a pour like this. Try pouring turquoise with other opaque or mixed colors like pre-mixed pinks, "flesh" tones, white, black, and earth colors. They will support the turquoise rather than sit on top like a more transparent color would.
Press your tongue on the roof of your mouth, also stops a sneeze xxx really love your colours and art. Do you sell many. Your fans get you to do so many there'll be no more room for you both in the house.. I can't wait to try it Best wishes Doreen.
cell within cells within cells!!! quite Beautiful and no dotaphobia triggered :) though I believe your actually describing an OCD problem not a phobia. I have a few OCDs including needing things to be equal in size, distance, whatever. Not that random patterns bother me or I would never be able to pour LOL, just when they need to be even and I make a few flubs, gerrrrrr..... drives me crazy. Thanks for sharing and can't wait to see how the skins turn out :)
G'morning dear :) . We have that in Denmark (Danemarke) as well - The floetrol - and YEP it works magic :) - I have an idea I will write to you .. about the dots on the stone.
try a flip cup and torch 10 sec after you lift the cup....and watch your thickness....too thin will let the silicone rise to the surface too fast ...so then you get no cells....♥♥♥
I've used manicurist stylus tools (dotting tools) for dotting pieces. Also, the colorful plastic crochet hooks - the blunt end. In dotting if you want them all the same size you have to dip the tool into thd paint each time you dot. If not, the dots get smaller & smaller. I follow Kirstin Uhrig on YT. Her dot paintings are incredible!
Owatrol & Flood get their Floetrol from PPG. So they are exactly the same formula, just labeled under different "brands" The word Floetrol is a trademarked name & formula by PPG and the word Floetrol has to be on the Flood & Owatrol labels. But the formula is the same. SO EXCITED TO SEE YOU BUY THE CHEAPER 2 OUNCE (59ml) SIZE PAINTS! (Thanks Annemarie's husband!) Can't wait to see your experiments with it.
What are your thoughts on putting a flat surface with a center crease under your plastic and then tilting/dripping onto a new canvas? Seems like the extra mixing and swirling might make for a very interesting new canvas with all of that wasted paint-- and it might be difficult to scrape up without blending the colors too much. What do you think?! I am into hydro-dipping but getting my storage cleaned out for a studio now!! Thank you for your awesome videos, by the way!!
Dots: How about those little felt circles, sold with adhesive on one side to attach to the underside of coasters, to prevent scratching the furniture, and attached to one end of a dowel of the same diameter? They are also sold in clear squishy silicone.
Annemarie, I have the dots mastered. I would love to send a picture, but don’t know how to send. I am using the same type of tools. I think your paint may not be thin enough. It also takes a light touch. Love your work!
I was having trouble finding the type of floetrol you are using so I went to the owatrol website and they call it "easy flow paint extender"! It's in the exact same container, picture, translation underneath as that one you showed, only it has "Easy Flow" where yours had "Floetrol". And it seems you can only get this from the company's website for $15 per liter. I looked on Amazon and could not find anything, but Flood and some other brand. Just thought this might help someone else looking for it. 😉 Gorgeous pour and cells btw!!!!😄
I have heard a lot of people complain about other brands...dizziness...chemical burn feeling in the nose ...ect ect...Owatrol is very safe......Thank you...and Thank you for watching....♥♥♥
maybe put the paint you are making dots with, into squeeze bottles with various opening sizes to create different size dots. It might help with control, size, and shape
Just amazing!!!! Thank you so so much for the patience and such a detailed description of everything u do here! My big big respect and love for everything you do dear Annamarie❤️❤️😍😘

This is so beautiful, great job! I am only just now starting to experiment with floetrol 😊
Thank you I really appreciate it!....♥♥♥
cell within cells within cells!!! quite Beautiful and no dotaphobia triggered :) though I believe your actually describing an OCD problem not a phobia.
Thank you...and Thank you for watching....♥♥♥
Absolutely gorgeous 😻
♥♥♥ Thank ♥ You ♥♥♥
G'morning dear :) . We have that in Denmark (Danemarke) as well - The floetrol - and YEP it works magic :) - I have an idea I will write to you .. about the dots on the stone.
You remind me of a jlos character you are soooo funny and real. Love it x
LOL....I don`t take my art that serious...it should be fun!!

Amazing cells,ur right😍
best cells everrrrrrr
so i have been having trouble getting cells so i just ordered the same floetrol hope i have the same results thanks
try a flip cup and torch 10 sec after you lift the cup....and watch your thickness....too thin will let the silicone rise to the surface too fast ...so then you get no cells....♥♥♥
Stunning!
Thank you ♥♥♥
you also gave a bit of a touch in each of the cups be for mixing them together which you have not done before in other videos
♥♥♥ Thank ♥ You ♥♥♥
Your best yet.
Thank you...and Thank you for watching....♥♥♥
So beautiful. xx

Get some dole rods of different sizes and use those for dots. Your welcome. Love to watch you. Carol from Tennessee.

(Thanks Annemarie's husband!) Can't wait to see your experiments with it.
hahahaha....soon....♥-♥-♥ Thank you so much and Thank you for watching my videos ♥-♥-♥

Nice idea but I tried it and don`t like what the paint does,
♥♥♥ Thank ♥ You ♥♥♥

very nice! thanks for tutorials!

That green must be quite light in relationship to the other paints to pop up like that.
I guess so....♥♥♥
Dots: How about those little felt circles, sold with adhesive on one side to attach to the underside of coasters, to prevent scratching the furniture, and attached to one end of a dowel of the same diameter? They are also sold in clear squishy silicone.
I`m not sure what you want to do with them...this video was made 300 videos ago.

Annemarie, I have the dots mastered. I would love to send a picture, but don’t know how to send. I am using the same type of tools. I think your paint may not be thin enough. It also takes a light touch. Love your work!
you can put in a link in the comments.

For alalee 1221
Flood brand has floetrol / latex base paint additive, Home depot has it so does Amazon.
aalee1221 Flood brand works awesome! I am very sensitive to smells and it doesn't bug me at all!
maybe put the paint you are making dots with, into squeeze bottles with various opening sizes to create different size dots. It might help with control, size, and shape
Yes...that might work, I`ll give it a try.......♥-♥-♥ Thank you so much and Thank you for watching my videos ♥-♥-♥
i have glass beads... I glued the bead on a stick. Made 5 different sizes and it works well.
Aha....good idea....Thank you ♥♥♥
