How to angle ion shield? Im stuck. Need help.

Tap the blue Brackets () when they appear, this will automatically lock the Ion shield to the enemy firing. {This only applies to Melee possible enemies and Rocket enemies, as well as tank enemies)

Simple really. If you want a Physical change, get a different mask. And if you like the mask but not the Color scheme go to your Customization thing and If im right it's in patterns?
