I miss this show so much. Wish it would not have ended. Was actually emotional during the last episode. They just felt like one of us.
As much as I love the show, ending it when it did was probably the right option. They had started to run out of ideas and flashback episodes and compilation episodes to fill space became commonplace. I think it ended at a good time.

It wasn't very difficult for Friends to win this People's Choice Awards though. They were hugely popular among children and teenagers at the time. Because, that was their obvious targeted audience at that point. The fact that many of the storylines and jokes were appearing increasingly "cartoonish", such as Ross dating that College Cheerleader, or Rachel and her whole unrealistic career at Ralph Lauren etc. made it clear this was material intended for the likes of College Students and nothing serious or interesting. But it was of course a gateway for easy comedy and that is what we got to see.

Interesting, always thought the target audience for this were newly graduated from college young adults ready to take on life and get their asses handed to them on a silver platter type.
