Kyrie Irving is in a really important time for his career. No team wanted to take Uncle Drew off the Nets’ hands so he will play out one year to prove he deserves a long term contract. Kyrie is viewed as toxic but claims he’s just misunderstood. This is a look at why he might actually be correct.

Losing a mom at 4 years is still hard going forth, his relationships with ppl effected by it, and got worse after his grandfather passing. This a guy that delved hard into basketball, then one day started realizing he's not all about basketball, basketball was and more likely still is becoming a crutch for him...complexed dude

Losing your mother at the age of four can be very traumatic for a kid but he's just an a*****period! Kyrie is selfish and self-centered and egotistic and a narcissist which has nothing to do with his mother dying but everything to do with his ego and self-centeredness!

I can understand Kyrie was depressed when his grandfather passed away. I lost my mother to cervical cancer back in August 2015. She was a single mother to 3 sons, I'm the eldest, suddenly I realised I lost my rock, my sun and my only parent. Our dad left us for some bitch when we were younger and never bothered about us.
After she passed, I received 2 days of grievance leave. 2 freaking days. I had to spend 1 day to conduct a passing ceremony for her, and cry my eyeballs out in the second day. On the 3rd day, I received a call from Human Resources, asking me if I am coming to work that day as it was already 9.30am. They didn't even ask how I was or if I needed more time off. I got ready and went to work. Everyday I dragged my feet to work. I used to love my job, but after my mum's passing, I became bitter, spiteful, and I hated myself.
It got to a point, I slit my wrist trying to kill myself, my girlfriend came over to pass me a homecooked lasagna found me lying in the bathroom. I just started working for 2 years, my salary was alright. But I had to save money and pay for my youngest brother's college.
I wish, I wish, I can take weeks away from my work and responsibilities and just mourn, recover myself. I stayed with the company for another year, once I got my big fat bonus, I resigned. Went on a holiday alone, I was an athlete so I had never smoked much weed. Then I started smoking weed and that helped me a lot. And the biggest one was me reading back the Quran and started praying. During my prayers, I immersed myself and seek clarity.
Suicide thoughts are real. Its not something, you should tell people "Be strong" or "Snap out of it". Its not that easy. I needed time for myself, I needed to cry, fall down, be miserable. When it was all out of my system, I gathered myself and I became laser focused with my work, with my girlfriend whom now is my wife, siblings and friends.
Sometimes companies, organisations, need to really understand their employees are humans too.

Even though it's been almost 13 years now, some days it feels like yesterday. Some days the hurt is more prevalent than others. We grow through the pain and learn to live without them, while remembering the love & lessons they left us with. As previously mentioned, money doesn't make you less human. 🎯💯🏆 You hit the nail. Joe Tsai and Sean Marks should simply meet Kevin Durant halfway and let Steve Nash go.
Steve's rotations have been bad and his in-game adjustments are horrible. More importantly, Nash was only chosen because he is a long-time buddy and former Phoenix Suns teammate of Marks.
Both KD and Kyrie Irving had recommended coaches with more experience (Tyronn Lue and Phil Handy), but Sean had his heart set Steve. It's time to let go and extend the olive branch. 💁🏻‍♂️🌿 🕊️

in Kyrie's defense, he has always burnt sage as a ritual sometimes not only when he was in Brooklyn. But other than that, he is a bit off. Just wondering that professional players have all the money and resources to find help in mental health. He could have dealt with it through other medium. But it's a lot of pressure. Hope he becomes better in the future.

While I am sensitive with mental health since I deal with depression and anxiety on a daily basis. The thing is that you have to take accountability for your actions when erratic behavior affects overall your choices in life. You have to actually seek advice and help to deal with grief and loss. I don’t think Kyrie has dealt with that yet. And, with his conspiracy theories and actions, it affects everyone surrounding him. While he is talented, no one doubts that, he needs people to actually sit him down and actually get in his ear and tell him to slow down. To actually get the proper help he actually needs to move forward. He has already alienated most of the league by his actions and his points of view. But, the thing is, I think he knows that. I do think he is smarter than you think and how he is wagering things like his contract and his status with the Nets. So, I wouldn’t be too sorry for him.

They are gonna be "firemen and plumbers" in their day job. Kyrie is complaining about a reality he creates and supports himself to be super rich. He might be thinking, I am donating plenty of money. So? You still keep the circus going and changing nothing for anybody. If he hates it so much and thinks it's inherently evil, he cant be taking their money to live his luxury life.

Thank You for doing this video. I Feel that even before Kyrie's GrandFather's transition the foundational challenge was his MoM transitioning when he was 4. I don't know if Kyrie really processed that. On his "Flat Earth" comments I Feel it's good for us to ?uestion things and to allow others to do the same. Many of us accept spoon fed narratives and "science" although we ourselves have not Seen it with our own EyEs. Kyrie burning Sage was shown and talked about like some New Age, Wiccan hippie practice. It's at those times that we need to check our Puritan, Western Religious beliefs that can See anything that is not Christian as "d/EVIL". One

Ashleigh Barty. No. 1 in tennis, Serena Williams-esque level of dominance called it quits. Noami Osaka, set to be the successor to queen Serena also had a breakdown and has not played anywhere near her true level. This happens to a lot of top level sports stars and high functioning individuals. This video is great in that it exposes the human fragility that sport stars not just Ky go through. It's remarkable how a lot of you, who've literally never achieved squat except be everyday Joes can then project your nothingness onto someone as accomplished as this young fella.

It really bothers me how Kyrie just seems to completely take the game for granted like its not a blessing, your athletic prime is a very short period of your life, and I feel like as he grows older and wiser he'll regret letting all the outside noise get to him and that he should've appreciated his career more.

Casey there are some bots who are obviously fake spamming your comment section.
I’m sure no one is falling for them but still it must be annoying. I guess the only plus side is the fact that the more comments you get the higher your video is boosted in the algorithm so I guess the bots are making you more successful lol.
