30 yo male. I bought ElementAll recently and tried it. I fasted for 48h but only consumed 1/5th of the suggested daily serving because it's somewhat expensive. I have had bloated and gas issues for the better part of the last 10 years and i finally felt like my stomach was normal. I was slightly weak because of the caloric deficit, but man did it feel good to not be bloated. Now I've broken my fast with eggs, but I'll stock up on shake powder and commit to at least 14 days of elemental diet to really give it a shot at killing the SIBO (I think it's what I have, it's my last hope). I was worried about the taste because reviews say it's horrendous, but I think it's fine, slight sulfuric after taste but that is fine to feel good. I had been wondering about a hybrid diet as you have mentionned, and i'm glad to know it's a thing, but I just feel like my gut needs more time to chill. I regularly do IF, but i feel like a meal everyday is still too much for my digestive system. Any way. Thanks for the content. Good stuff!

I'm so glad it helped you. As far as the calorie part, you're welcome to add something to it like an MCT oil or we have an MCT oil powder that works well. That definitely helps with satiety and caloric intake.
I also don't know what your diet is like outside of the reset and fasting, but I'd make sure to do a slow reintroduction of foods (just a couple every few days), because that could help you pinpoint any potential inflammation-causing foods. For example, some people don't handle eggs well!

Is it okay to take L-Glutamine, Prebiotics and Probiotics (and other supplements) while doing the elemental diet?

I know you say this should help with fungus candida type issues, but sugar and carbs are problematic for me so I am weary of trying. What I can vouch for though, is a carnivore diet as being probably the best intervention I ever did. I'm not really doing that anymore, but it worked so well I probably should.

I hear you. And the carnivore diet does seem to be working for quite a few people. I'd definitely say do what you know feels best for you. If you do end up wanting to try the Elemental Heal, just know that if it doesn't jive, we'll refund your first bottle. Best of luck!

@@DrRuscioDC that's cool. Thanks for the tip. I did get your book a long time ago and have gotten your probiotic blends and antimicrobials before. I really like your approach. It sounds like you have been able to help a lot of people who struggle with similar issues as myself, so I trust you know what you are doing pretty well. For myself, I think carnivore and caprylic acid have been the most beneficial of the hundreds of things I have tried. I would also give mention to TTFD (thiamine) as possibly being part of the solution. If you haven't heard of Elliot Overton (EONutrition) I think he brings some interesting information to the table.

We use Elemental Heal in the clinic for SIBO quite often and it doesn't cause much bloat. Also, if you go ahead and try the Elemental Heal but don't love it for any reason, you can contact help@drruscio.com to get it swapped or refunded. :)

My spouse and I tried your Paleo elemental shake and it gave my spouse a weird bowel reaction (IBS) and made me feel really weird and off, constantly hungry and my energy was low. I fast frequently so going without food i feel great and adhering to my typical organic diet i feel fine as well. Idk why i would feel so weird on the shake.

I have trouble swallowing suspected eoe but the test came back negative , antihistamines helps with an episode is coming but now ive replaced my ant histamines with Dao enzymes supplement found in kidney beef extract , it help with hard episodes ( nausea , throat tightness, toung tingling ) better than antihistamines
Could be it be a gut issue since Dao enzymes helped me quit antihistamines ?

Ive been on the elementwl diet for 11 days. My stomach is still bloated and distended. Ive been using 1 cup unsweetened coconut/almonld milk and 2 cups water with 1 scoop. Is that ok? I cant believe how good I feel and I am not really hungry and def not light headed or anything. Its way easier than I thought but Im worried it wont work since Im still so bloated. Im thinking of doing 3 weeks. Help!

Hey there. So, I don't recommend going that long without medical supervision. We also recommend mixing with just water for the first couple days, so I'm not sure if you did that. The elemental diet is pre-digested and absorbed in the first few feet of the small intestine, however alternative milk requires normal digestion. So that might be something to consider as well.
I'll attach an article here about the elemental diet that has more info and tips for use: drruscio.com/elemental-diet/ Hope that helps!

@@DrRuscioDC Thanks for your response. Just to clarify....I cannot use 1 cup almond milk with water for the shakes bc it gets absorbed lower down in the GI tract? I'm really having a hard time stomaching the powder with just water.

@@DrRuscioDC Hello Dr. Ruscio, I have Celiac, Rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and leaky gut. No doctor was able to help me and I’m bedridden because of that since several years. I now want to try the elemental diet. I do have to take digestive enzymes when I eat something, otherwise the food comes out undigested. How is it with this diet, should I go on taking digestive enzymes? How about L-Glutamine and other supplements. Is that okay to take together with this diet?
